But it’s a good story about a local kid earning every snap of his career. UDFA kid got a shot and took advantage of his opportunity. Even if his career is short lived, he can say he made it. It’s worth rooting for.

If I was athletically gifted and could live up to the hype: anywhere the money and weather is good. I can always sign with the bills for my 2nd contract. If I was using my *actual* athletic abilities: a division rival to hep the bills and get paid to be bad. If Mitch is down for an extended period of time I think we would have to cut/IR him at this point. If he’s ok I don’t think the Bills do anything that would cost a large amount of money/draft picks. Wait for cuts to happen, find capable player who isn’t asking for a ton of money. Problem solved. Cooper Rush would be my #1 choice as he proved he can hold his own in the games he saw action in. Heineke also is capable and likely affordable. Tyler Huntley isn’t going to light up the league but Cleveland has DeSchmuck and Winston as their 1 & 2. long story short- stay patient.

That sucks that he’s done for the season. They likely aren’t going to be super competitive anyway even with Jefferson. The best they can hope for is a similar situation to Burrow when he went down during his rookie year- they’ll have a very high pick in the draft and can work to shore up their holes and get weapons for their QB.

100% in my eyes the worst trade and worst contract ever. 3 first rounders, a 3rd, and 2 4ths. All it cost the Texans was a player who they didn’t want/needed to get rid of, and a 6th rounder. $230m, fully guaranteed, and a $45m signing bonus was an absolute joke of a contract. He spent 11 games suspended, and only played 12 games since that suspension ended due to injury (or a nasty case of “affluenza” and lethargy). He stands to cost the Browns nearly $64m in cap for the next 3 seasons. I feel for the fans, I really do, but trash owners paid a trash QB, and all they have to show for it is more trash.
