Well, defending the Pats isn’t something I enjoy doing, so thanks for that, Shaw, lol. 1. I don’t think anybody knew Hernandez was a murderer, so I don’t see how bringing this up is relevant. 2. Having a recovering addict on your team is not something to hold against the club. I know older generations like treating drug addiction like it’s a criminal trait but it’s a lot more complicated than that. My GDT mea culpa would be calling Daboll a joke after the consecutive QB sneaks. I still think those calls are simply horrible decisions and question the lack of early touches for Singletary/Gore but I definitely overreacted. I still don't think calling for Barkley was an overreaction. Allen moved the ball well early but had some bad luck and ball security issues. The hero ball throw was bad and came when I felt the team still had an outside chance at coming back because the D was so good and I wanted the best option in at QB to go after the win. In hindsight I am glad that Allen bounced back from a very tough outing and finished really strong but calling for Barkley doesn't seem like an error to me.

Throwing the ball directly into an edge rusher is not an unlucky bounce, it was a bad decision. Allen had 4 turnovers and yes, 2 of them can be blamed on others but Allen also had another couple plays that should have been turnovers. C-, only because he got the win, or it would be a failing grade.

So happy for the D that they got this win, amazing game for them. Evaluating Allen is tough, he had his moments and won the game but also had a ton of bad plays. Singletary looked awesome!
