  1. We're all frustrated, dude. People are fans in their own ways mainly because people are just very different, good or bad. And I think the big distinction is that some prefer to live in the moment and some look much more to the future, good or bad.
  2. Ummm... these aren't standards. I think you're missing the point, here. But does this mean I can put you down for L OR under 200?
  3. Agreed. My dream is we see an extreme change in offensive philosophy Sunday. One can dream, right?
  4. Crusher are you in? Clearly we aren't using garbage time yards or combined yards for rushing... based on this post sounds like you're in, no? I've got your name down. Let me know if I should take it off
  5. OK, I have an honest question. How do you guys stay in game day threads and enjoy watching the game? Do you actually read each other's posts while watching the game? I have legitimately tried this a few times and failed miserably. Do you just have talk and text set up? But even then, you'd still have to read everyone else's posts. Don't you guys get whiplash? I'm not being critical, I just can't do it. As that game went on, I was just watching the game, especially when it got interesting at the end. As for the game itself, why can't everyone just be happy for our former bills players? I don't think we really parted with any of them on extremely bad terms, did we? I'm happy they're all playing well. It doesn't necessarily mean getting rid of them was the wrong move for our teams future. Sammy played his heart out, and yet, he got injured. Coincidence? I don't really know. Frankly, that deal we won't know about for years in terms of who won and who lost. I'm just glad we got a really good football game tonight. And I am really hoping that we see a really good football game with our team on Sunday. At least as far as the outcome for our team goes. Great game, though. I hope all of the TNF games are like this for the rest of the season.
  6. Bills WRs looking good tonight. The Rams are really showing the impact playcalling has in offense from last year to this year
  7. Weird take, he was pretty clearly very negative in that film breakdown.
  8. Why is that? I love this place so much... always living solely in the moment. Like rabid dogs some posters have to go to one extreme or another. After the Jets, we had the "Tyrod Taylor 2.0" thread. After Carolina, it's this. Truth, as always, lies in the middle. We're drafting a QB next year, but when is still up in the air. And whether Taylor is still in Buffalo is still up in the air. People, we have 14 games left this season. If what happened against Carolina on Sunday happens for the next few games, I absolutely think Taylor will be benched at the bye. But what exactly makes anyone think that what happened Sunday will happen multiple games in a row? If you're so confident it'll happen, go here for a friendly wager regarding Sunday's game: https://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/196527-bills-w-taylor-200-yards-a-fun-tbd-bet-this-gloomy-week/ But the reality is likely going to be that Taylor's going to have a pretty solid game in the next few games and that benching won't happen. Sunday will be the toughest challenge defensively Taylor may face for the rest of the year and personally, I think the coaches are going to come out with passing more in the game plan and Taylor's going to have a better game. But even if he has a great game, he is what he is, which is not going to be an Elite, HOF QB. But he can absolutely still be good enough the rest of the season to not only stick around in 2018, which I think is actually much more likely than unlikely, but also good enough to make it so that McBean don't feel forced to give up all their resources to trade up as high as possible for a QB. I still think we're drafting a QB in the first round or two, barring some incredible turn of events in terms of Taylor's level of play that would require Dennison opening up the offense, something I don't think he's willing to do. But as fun as all your definitive statements are to read and discuss, you really don't have a clue. Neither do I, which is why I try very hard not to speak in such absolute terms, although I'm sure even as I type that someone's searching for the last time I did exactly that. And I really look forward to reading that
  9. What? The Cards almost beat the Pats in week 1 and absolutely manhandled the Bucs in week 2 of 2016. They absolutely did look that great coming into Buffalo.
  10. Dude, it's offensive design. Can't you see that? Peterman might come in and play better, but he won't be chucking it down the field.
  11. I know, just felt like adding that for good measure
  12. Direct quote from Taylor in the same PC that got this headline: "We definitely have certain packages where I can audible."
  13. Does it say? Dude, go listen to what he says. This thread is a bit of a joke in itself with what it's devolved (though I don't think it ever started out very high in the first place) into in the way it largely takes things out of context. Is your username meant to be ironic? "Hey look! Here's a headline and I'm gonna take it for a fact and not look at any of the contacts at all!" But that's no surprise, it's just modern day America. Why should a sports message board be any different? Direct quote from Taylor in the same PC that got this headline: "We definitely have certain packages where I can audible." You asked if he said he can audible. He said he can audible. Misinformation and misrepresentation and flat out fallacies is what we're getting in this thread. And it's just sad. You said he had zero influence at the LOS. That's flat out wrong. Where the hell did the middle go? Why is everyone so goddamn extreme nowadays?
  14. Just passing yards. How many yards Taylor passes for. If you wanted to include sack yardage then I would argue you'd also have to include scramble yardage, the positive opposite of the sack. So as much as you might be concerned that he might lose 30 yards in sacks. How much did he gain in scrambling? 40? 55? This isn't a thread for debating that issue right now, you know my feelings on it already I'm sure. So, we are just talking about the amount of yards Taylor throws for, that's it.
  15. Tyrod Taylor asked how much freedom he has to audible: "We're getting to that." Says he doesn't have free rein but getting more each week That sure sounds like the Bills do audible and Taylor has been doing it. Do people really even care about the truth at this point, though?
  16. Why do I need to do the legwork? You're the one making the claim that it's indefensible that Taylor is restricted in terms of audibling. If you're making the claim, it's on you to prove that all NFL QBs are allowed to do it. Why would I do the leg-work you should do? Your making a sweeping claim with an underlying assumption that may or may not be true. And if it's not true, your entire claim of it being "indefensible" falls apart at the seams. I don't need to play devil's advocate. Make a stronger argument. Oh now gimme a break here. You think that the comments that have come out indicate that Taylor has zero influence at the LOS? That's a stretch, to say the least. See, this is where stupid hyperbolic statements annoy me. This is the tweet from Sal Capaccio regarding those comments... and you tell me if what you've said here isn't a little ridiculous: Tyrod Taylor asked how much freedom he has to audible: "We're getting to that." Says he doesn't have free rein but getting more each week
  17. nonononono... I never said he couldn't do it. 2 things come into play with audibling: 1) A player's ability cognitively to do it AND 2) A coach allowing the QB the freedom to audible in his offense You're jumping to conclusions about me saying something I never said. And there ya go, now he has it this year. Do all other QBs have the same "free reign?"
  18. If that's how you see this, that's fine. But it's not meant to imply that you want the Bills to lose or our QB to have a bad game. It's for those who are as much of a Bills fan as any of the rest of us, but pretty concretely and confidently feel that this team doesn't stand a chance on Sunday OR Taylor is going to throw for less than 200 yards. I thought that much was obvious. And I figured posters like you, Crusher, xRushx, and old school would totally be in. All you do if you lose the bet is say positive things only about the Bills for a week if you lose the bet. Wouldn't be so hard considering your team just won and your QB probably had a decent game against a really great defense, would it? Fair enough and fine by me
  19. Then you still win. My side has 2 pieces of criteria to meet. Your side has only 1. So it's less of a fair bet for us. But no crazy consequences so it's all good. So you in jmc?
  20. Then you're just betting the 2nd option. If the Bills Win and Taylor goes over 200, you are only allowed to say positive things about the Bills up until Bills @ Falcons kickoff. So, I'm going to put you down, but let me know if you didn't mean to. No worries either way. Word
  21. What? It's a simple bet, dude. I said 200+ passing yards and a Win. I never said anything about converting runs to pass yards. Garbage time yards? If the Bills win and Taylor throws for over 200 yards, how would garbage time yards come into play? Exactly. I thought that was pretty clear. Not in, then. Got it. Should have put up a poll. But you are not betting on that, correct?
  22. Damn. You're right, I should have made a poll. Can I still do it after I created the thread or do I need a mod to do it? So, you're in?
