If paying for something doesn't give me ownership, then how can not paying for it be stealing? You seem confused. -

You're doing a great job of proving your own argument false here. If you take someone else's car, you now have their car and they have lost theirs. You really see how that doesn't happen when someone shares their video stream with you? -

Because the owners are the ones with all the power. It's an Employer-employee relationship. -

Convenient yet not untrue. The exploitation of power is the root of many ills. -
This is highly encouraging, but hopefully for the right reasons. As I've been saying for years, the regular season is an extension of the pre-season for us. I really don't care about the individual outcome of a given game during the regular season anymore. As long as you get 10+ wins, which I expect they will based on Josh alone, I'm all good. What matters to me is that I see them building on something throughout the season, evolving in terms of playbook, technique and execution. The elite teams aren't showing you the same gameplan in the playoffs that they had in September. They look like a baseball team in game 7 of the world series, pulling out all kinds of tricks and playing their best ball. Make Bosa inactive for the first 10 games - seriously. I know they won't, but they should. I don't need him stacking stats in September. I need him for 5-10 critical snaps in January. Use this season as a way to accelerate the growth of our young players, because if we have any hope of taking a next step this year, it's because 2-3 young players have blossomed into all-pro level players.

People cry about "piracy", but I bet they aren't sending checks to the NFL when they go watch the game at a buddy's house. How corporations convinced people that paying licensing fees made them people of high moral character will surely be something for future civilizations to ponder after corporations destroy our society. -

That's not true at all and the streaming market is a direct reflecting of the reality. The reason that paid streaming exists in the first place is because the market demanded from services like napster, limewire, popcorn time, TPB, Xbox Game Pass etc. When services launched with competitive pricing, pirating plummeted. When they started getting greedy again with non-stop pricing increases and worse tiers of services, piracy rose. As for what the magical price is, that's for marketing research departments to figure out, but somewhere between $20/$30 a month is probably the right number assuming that contains on demand access to games and other content. Make it worth our while to not jump through hoops, and it's easy money. -

Greed is about power and the ability to exploit. You can't be "greedy" without it. Greed isn't about making an extra 1%. It's about destroying anything in your path to make that extra 1%. You can see this first-hand at any fortune 500 company. There's no magical dollar value associated with greed, because it has absolutely nothing to do with the dollar value, and everything to do with what an entity will do to get it. -

As someone that works in corporate and has 100% of my NW in stocks, this is all bull####. Just because a corporation has a fiduciary mandate to be as greedy as possible doesn't give them moral carte blanche. Also, you thinking that share value has anything to do with prices and corporate policy just shows you don't even understand the market. -
You're really stuck on this "4 year rental" thing. I'll take 4 elite years in the prime of a player any day. Also, not sure why you'd try to downplay his stats with Cousins, who has had highly prolific passing seasons that have eclipsed Allen's career best passing totals. Jefferson is making $40M a year now. Not sure it matters at this point that they got a good deal on drafting him.

sportsurge has all of them, but I actually pay for my streams now because I can get every sporting event in the world, and I like Australian Rules football and snooker. Trying to figure out Cricket too, but it's pretty confusing. -
And what have the vikings done with it? In what world is 4 years a "rental"? That's a whole career for the average NFL player. Diggs is the #4 all-time receiving leader in Buffalo Bills history.

lmao. You're directly complaining about Beane not drafting WRs, and the reason he doesn't IS draft history. Variance is a MASSIVE factor. You say "you pay a GM and his front office to get it right", but you don't seem to know what "right" means. There's no crystal ball. Beane doesn't know anything that most other GMs don't, nor does any other GM. They all go out and rank the same players, and they're going to rank them pretty similarly. Whether or not the player turns out isn't typically determined by things a GM, and especially scouts, can control. They can select the best prospect in a generation, like we once did with Sammy Watkins, and they can still bust. Once they're in the building, their job is done. You can slam our management all you like for Sammy being a bust, but you know if we didn't take him he was going in the next couple of picks right? Eventually, every team had a spot they would have taken him, and for most it probably would have been very high. You give Beane credit for Allen like he knew he'd become the best player in the league. Do you think he didn't have other QBs on his board? Allen was a disaster his first two years in the league and folks praise Beane for the pick when it required the single biggest ascendancy in NFL history from year 2 to 3. People give GMs way too much credit and slam them undeservedly for things outside of their control. What should matter is the process, not whether or not luck fell in your favor. Once upon a time people slammed the drafting of Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield like their GMs didn't know what they were doing, and last season they were both monsters. Drafting isn't about getting the "right" player, because you never know who that's going to be. Do you think Coleman was the only WR on the Bills board, and if he gets taken before us they just pack up their bags and go home? They probably have 30 WRs on their board, and it all comes down to their internal process and putting the right value on a player and hoping, just hoping, that the biggest swings connect.
-
Why would you rather have them gamble when we're in a position to win now? Most of the players you mentioned would be no worse than the 7th best WR of the 2020 draft, and many would rank higher. The 2020 draft was less of a mess than many drafts for the WR position, but it still underwhelmed. I wouldn't want Ruggs, Reagor, Juedy, and Aiyuk wouldn't have solved our problems either leaving Jefferson and Lamb as the only guys who would've moved the needle for us in the first round. Looking at the rest of the draft, only Higgins, Pittman, and Davis have been material players over the next 13 picks, and we walked away with one of them. Too much luck involved here to want to go down this road, imo.
-
How were they left empty handed? They got a 2nd round pick for 2025 which isn't a bad return and then they immediately drafted Coleman last year - which in theory replaces Diggs.
-
A rookie WR wasn't a good move for us at that time, and I'd argue Diggs had a bigger impact for us than Jefferson would have due to veteran experience and leadership. Diggs stepped in and was instantly the most impactful WR the team ever had. Rookie WRs are a massive gamble.

Gabe Davis signing with the Bills (going to practice squad)

I would love him over Samuel or Moore (based on what we've seen so far). -
I think we know what he was - a bust. He failed to even flash potential.

Christian Wilkins released for kissing team mate
BullBuchanan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unpopular take: Carter being out for the year is a net win for us. It keeps better players with more upside on the field like Sanders and Walker, and prevents Beane from considering releasing Ogunjobi after his suspension. I honestly had Carter getting released after the suspension anyway. At least this gives him one more shot next year, but I'm guessing the release him as soon as he's healthy anyway. -
I've seen the home jerseys I'm assuming these are the away?

We'd look good playing Oregon.

Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
BullBuchanan replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mahomes is the better passer and the better overall QB. For all the power Josh has, he's not a very good deep ball thrower, and if I need to pick a player in the league to make one play, it's unquestionably Mahomes. Mahomes throws a better ball to Kincaid, and makes the right read on that incompletion to Shakir. -
I liked all the cuts. I wish there were more.
