Apparently he was seriously considering retirement prior to this season with $50M there for him if he just showed up. I'm not sure he'll retire, but it wouldn't shock me.
-
They are in terms of the cap, but usually you have to be an active player in the league to get your guaranteed money. If he retires, I think they keep the cash, but their cap is hosed.

Jets OT TD should have been called back...
BullBuchanan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who cares? We lost the game before it started. -
why do you expect him to? He didn't break tackles in college either. he was and is an outside runner and pass catcher we're trying to use as a normal back. Classic Beane - McD miscue.

Loss of Edmunds is going to expose Hyde and poyer

That's an indictment of the philosophy than it is anything else -
you don't have to dislike black people to be racist. How is it anything other than hateful? He's combining two forms of hate at the same time - classism and racism. He's telling employees they should be grateful to be in his employ and if they don't like it, go back to an ancestral country where they were forced to leave. What do you think racism is?

I haven't "trusted the process" since I first heard it. It was the most opaque, catch-all blanket for anything and everything that was wrong at the time. It may have been the dumbest thing I ever heard a coach say. It's become clear now that "The Process" isn't the solution, it's the problem.

Sam Martin's tackle attempt on the punt return TD in OT.

I don't want my punter trying any harder than that in week 1. -
If the Bills win tonight, does the narrative change?
BullBuchanan replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nothing changes the narrative for the bills until they start playing better and winning games in the playoffs. The next 17 games are just an extended pre-season as far as I'm concerned. -
Passing yardage when assessing QBs is almost meaningless. If a QB routinely gets under 200 yards a game, he's probably a big part of the problem, but It's definitely more of an offense stats than a QB stat. Points scored and points allowed is pretty useless too.

Nick Bosa signs - 5 years, $170 Million
BullBuchanan replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's no chance he comes close to living up to that contract. Even if he gets 20 sacks a year, is 1.7M/sack even worth it? That would be like paying AJ Epenesa 10M last year. It's far more realistic that he averages in the mid double digits ~15 for 2.8M/sack -
Filthy's official 2023 NFL predictions

A Daniel Jones-led team whose #1 WR is Isaiah Hodgins is going to the Super Bowl? They have better odds of not winning more than 5 games. -
I think there's a a very high chance he's done. He'll hang on in the league a little while longer, but I expect him to be a JAG from this point out instead of the $20M Tre White we knew. An ACL for a corner is a killer, and great corners can start falling off hard as early as their late 20's even with decent health. He'll be 29 in a few months and coupled with the injury, I just don't see him having much left. Maybe he can get one more pro bowl nod based on adequate play and name recognition, But I think his days of being a top 10 guy are over.

Oh no, poor billionaires losing money.
BullBuchanan replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean inheritance is a terrible thing for the world as it just ensures that rich people create an ever richer and more powerful ruling class that can never be uprooted. I don't see it going away any time soon for the folks that have created multi-generational wealth. The couple hundred K, modest home or family business that you're trying to pass down to your kids being taxed into oblivion isn't a war on inheritance, it's a war on class. -

100% serious. There's absolutely no theft at all. They still have their copy of the game as does every customer they sold it to. Is it theft when you have people over to watch the game at your house? Is it theft if you walk away during the commercial that someone paid for? If they don't want people to share their content with other people they should create a better platform that incentivizes people to own it instead of crying about it. -

They'll never win. They should have learned their lesson from the record labels. -

If you're going to stan for Spencer Brown, I think you're going to be in a lonely club around here. He's absolutely terrible.
