Alex Smith cleared for football per PFT.
BullBuchanan replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For a player that's been sacked 410 times for that to happen on a routine play? I call that a freak accident. It's not like he all of a sudden has brittle bones. -

Considering there's no such thing as a "blue life", probably. Black people don't have the ability to just stop being being black whenever they want. -

Around $70 million. The fact that it happened once was a freak accident. If something that unlucky was to happen to him again, it's Final Destination for him anyway. -

He's on the second year of a 4yr/$94 Million dollar deal. His heart will find a way. -
You could always cross-train in the renewable energy sector. Unless you're 50, your job will be likely gone long before you can retire.

We passed on him 3 times, so evidently we didn't want him that bad. -

Oof. Never noticed that. I can definitely understand the apprehension with that. -

I havent been to a Wegmans since I moved to Texas around 6 years ago, but I remember their prepared foods being a little overhyped. They were good but I would never go there instead of a dedicated restaurant. That said, I care much more about specialty - deli, meat & seafood, wine, bakery, cheese than I do about prepared foods, and I've found Publix to compete with those and win by default on wine due to NY's archaic blue laws. Of course, i also haven't done a full dedicated grocery shop at a publix in around 12 years - it's just been browsing and picking up items for business travel. We mostly went to the Black Rock and Transit locations. The inclusion of HEB on that list is mind boggling. Texas seems to have allowed/enforced a soft monopoly in HEB's favor down here. It's the only major grocer outside of Whole Foods anywhere in Austin, and I think it's much the same in the rest of Texas. HEB has good produce, solid store brand goods, and typically good wine, but they have one of the worst bakeries I've ever been to, meat and seafood is akin to Tops, no cheese department and very sparse availability of European cheese , a very sad bulk section, and nothing in the way of rare ingredients or spices. -

Yea, Publix is over 10x the size of Wegmans when it comes to store count and it's tough to do the things that smaller stores do at that kind of scale. Whole Foods fell off a cliff when they started expanding. When i was in college we were always at the Publix deli. They did a great job. I used to travel a lot for work and would go there a lot when i was in Atlanta. Yea, I don't really dig super saucy wings, so I never felt the pull. -

Buffalo born and raised, and shockingly I've never been to Duff's. -

Although I'm pretty miserly on a lot of things, I do spend more on food than the average person. There's no substitute for things like high-end bread, eggs and meat & seafood. I also appreciate a well stocked international section and the wine department is vastly important. We do buy a lot of store brand stuff too though. We mostly shop at HEB down here, and despite it also being #1 on a lot of national lists, it's extremely mediocre. It's closer to something like Safeway than it is to Wegman's and it's not close. That said, they are the parent for the Central Market stores, and I think those are the best out there. When it comes to quality and selection, I find them far superior to Whole Foods. -

I love Wegmans, but there's a lot of competition out there. Central Market caters a bit more towards the high end market, but it's definitely a better store and I think Publix is really good too. -
ESPN FUTURE POWER RANKINGS NEXT 3 YEARS BILLS #14

I don't think it's disastrous yet either, but any or all of Phillips, Johnson, Neal could fail to make the roster and it wouldn't be a huge shock. -

We've drafted one superstar, in White over the last 4 years and that was either McDermott or Whaley, probably a combination. We drafted two other starters that year in Milano and Dawkins who almost certainly came off Whaley's Big Board, because there's no way McD could have known enough about those guys, though he could have picked them over others. As for Beane, he drafted Allen and Edmunds, who are both still unknowns at this point, Oliver and Ford who are also unknowns and Singletary, who looks like a good player. Based on the kind of Player Epenesa is, I think it's probably unlikely he becomes a 3 down monster, and I think the story is probably the same with Moss. 3 of 8 from 2018 are no longer on the Bills and you could potentially see all but Allen and Edmunds gone before opening day. It isn't disastrous drafting but it's really not great. I see average as fair. -
It's funny, we get reminded every september about that time where 3000 people died 20 years ago and it's a tragedy. We held hearing after hearing about 4 people that died in a warzone trying to find out what happenbed and was there someone we could blame. 140,000 Americans drop dead in 4 months and an unknown amount are left disabled and others needing organ transplants, and it's "oh, well that's life". Can we get some of those Vietnam Veteran hats at least?

Hey has gifts for sure, but he's yet to establish himself as a consistent threat. I watched him play a ton as I made big bets on him for fantasy last year and he killed me. He had a handful of monster games and would completely disappear for weeks at a time and he wasn't the kind of player that got better when you were behind like Nuke is. He can definitely turn the corner this season, though. -

This is exactly how I view Diggs. A really nice player, but more of an elite number 2. I see him as a bit of a Brandin Cooks clone or the ultimate version of John Brown. I just don't think he has the physical tools to ever be that #1 guy. That said, I'm not really interested in getting in a fight over it. We had the same conversation last year about how John brown would come in and be a star and it's happening all over again this year. I'm really happy to have Diggs. He's a very good player in his prime on very favorable cap terms. I couldn't ask any more of him. -

I argue he does everything better or equal except speed. He's bigger, stronger, runs better routes, breaks more tackles. -

I'd take him 11/10 times. He's a complete player. I see Diggs as more of a deep threat guy. -

If I had a team that was ready to win the SB or had outstanding leadership I'd grab him, but the Giants/Browns are neither of those. -

Hopkins Thomas Jones Hill Beckham Adams Evans Hilton Thielen Allen ----- Green Godwin Smith-Schuster Diggs Kupp Golliday So much is speculative, but that's how I think it shakes out now assuming Green stays healthy, Schuster averages out between 18/19. I think Godwin, Schuster, and Kupp will definitely outproduce Allen, but not sure they're better just yet. Diggs definitely could too, depending on how conservative we are. -

No, he meant an equal tier. I disagree a bit. Godwin is above all of them, and if Cooper continues to play the way he has been he's above Diggs and Golliday too. Diggs is a very nice player, but I think I'd take Theilen over him -
