  1. I mean...I don't think diversity was the goal here anyway. The Bills want to show they are willing to hire the BEST candidate for the job and if that happens to be a woman then so be it. It's a very uncommon move so attention is being brought to it in an effort to maybe open up the minds of other GMs. I see nothing wrong with any of it.
  2. This thread is averaging almost 1.5 replies per minute and a new view EVERY SECOND. WOW . Yes, I can be a bit of a nerd sometimes.
  3. I find it interesting that Fuggetaboutit is a close second in the voting yet very few have articulated WHY they voted that way. I'm with the group who liked the idea but thinks a reduction is in order.
  4. Im a big Chad Kelly fan and a fan of people who finally get it right. With that said if he blows this opportunity with anymore off the field shenanigans, I'm done with him as would the entire NFL.
  5. Welp... In before the lock. As I wanted to post last night but didn't get a chance too...Cland has been mentioned by a few others...Chad Kelly is a case of NAME privilege and not white privilege. The two people responsible for him even being in the league are two former quarterbacks who love Jim Kelly. It's really that simple. Whit privilege is a real thing...in the NFL and the real world...but this ain't it. And that comes from a black man who has experienced plenty of racism in my life.
  6. Kelly is the best QB on that team. Time will prove me right.
  7. Zay is worth nothing more than a Day 3 pick right now.So unless they would take Zay and another Day 3 pick...nope...not worth the gamble.
  8. His excuse will be that he's on the beach enjoying the football afterlife.
  9. I would love to see them keep Duke. The next 2 games will tell alot. I do agree with McKenzie over RayRay tho. McKenzie is the better playmaker.
  10. They are keeping 7 WR Brown Measly Zay Foster Roberts McKenzie RayRay
  11. 4 games is the length of 25% of the season. Most in all of sports. 2 games would be enough plus a 17-18 game season. If I'm a coach I'd let my starters play the first half of the first game to get them a little live game action in before the real thing. The second half would be the backups and bubble players. The second game would be bubble players and practice squad candidates.
  12. You have to be on the TB12 program to do that in the preseason and not get injured
  13. Way off. He wasn't even arrested for it so it was a small amount. He won't get any time and his career will continue.
  14. Gore being who he is will offer his insight I'm sure. How much it would help outside of the film available I'm not so sure. Either way I see the Bills leaving the Meadowlands 2-0
  15. Im looking forward Bell being on the receiving end of a couple "Welcome Back to the NFL" hits from our boys in a couple weeks. 19 months without taking on live game contact is a loooong time. I think it's a foolish move for Gase to give him 0 touches in the preseason. There is a thing called being overcautious. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27435439/jets-bell-need-teammates-hit-practice
  16. Had the same thoughts as I read his post. Double standards abound. Anyway, Zay better become great at special teams or his NFL career won't see past his 20's
  17. Will be interesting to chart the progress of Knox throughout the rest of the preseason
  18. Where did I say he was good enough to be a starter? He is MUCH better than most of the #2 QBs in the league,.
  19. Bubble wrap....not players on the bubble. For me it would be nobody. I want to seem them play at least a whole first half together. Thats offense and defense. Beasley is one of the most durable players on the roster and the last I would bubble wrap. I want him and Josh to keep building that chemistry to perfection. Be smart? Yes. Dont play your guys a whole game but I also dont like the idea of being fearful of injuries. If anything you dont play them to get a look at your bubble players and allow the starters to remain fresh.
  20. Unfortunately guys like him need the most reps but gets the least. The most work he gets is in preseason games after practicing most of the playbook with mental reps. Pretty much setup for failure. With that said...some QBs show more than others in that very same situation and I don't think Jackson falls in that category. I'm sure there are many upgrades who will be cut soon. I would take whoever loses the Colts 3rd QB job for starters.
  21. Has nothing to do with being a distraction. Its about the owners feeling they may lose money from the backlash. My whole point is the "not good enough" to play in the league argument is BS. But yes, for an owner to gamble on the backlash he would have to be a player actually contributing on Sundays. I get that. The racist dollar is powerful. And yes if you are that upset years later about this man kneeling, EVEN THOUGH HE SAID HE WOULDNT KNEEL ANYMORE, and you are simply that unforgiving over the victimless "crime" it was, then you have some deep rooted issues that go beyond what you're willing to admit to.
  22. Kaep would easily be a top 5 backup in the league and yall want him to take #3 money cause he started the kneeling trend? I hate getting into the conversation. Guys like Nate Peterman and plenty other less talented QBs gets opportunity after opportunity to stay in the league but with Kaep its the "not good enough" BS excuse. If you can't be wise enough to admit he was blackballed because of kneeling and not lack of talent you probably also believe racism no longer exists in America.
