  1. We can definitely get a 7th rounder for him Im sure Beane is on top of it...
  2. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. 6th rounder for Bodine. Beane is a MONSTER!
  3. Peterman went the whole preseason with no picks. He has outplayed Glennon and deserves the backup spot. I for one believe a player can learn from past mistakes. Im certain he has studied a ton of film and has consulted people at the top of the profession about what he needs to do better. I laugh at the guy like the rest of us but I'm also rooting for him. I always root for the high character guys to be successful.
  4. I didn't know she played at the NFL level. That is what we are talking about right??
  5. No, whether or not women, whose bodies are not naturally created to be as strong as men, should play the most violent team sport on earth with some of the largest/strongest men in sports.
  6. Nobody said it happens often. The issue is it DOES HAPPEN. And all it takes is one time for a small frame like hers (she would be the smallest person in the NFL) to get completely demolished with probably life long consequences. This only works by making it off limits to touch kickers...basically after the kick, the kicker can no longer be involved in the play. Maybe they run off the field and get replaced like a DH? Issue would be with onside kicks, botched snaps on FG's and fake field golas. Then we have to deal with the idea that women will be allowed in the league but only as kickers??? How would that work?
  7. Right. This is why Haus Money said he would work with her. Not sure why people are making a big deal of this in the thread. She doesnt regularly practice FGs and got out there and did what she did. Im sure if she put her all into it she would be great. This thread is really debating a different matter.
  8. It's not PC to say men are physically strong but then these same folks will say how bad it is for a man to put his hands on a woman (which I agree it's terrible) It's like my wife on one hand saying women should get treated equal to men but then expects me to open her doors, always take the trash out, pump the gas, etc (which I happily do all those things) Its just the world we live in today. Full of double standards.
  9. Maybe a DH in MLB but again she would have to be a beast of a woman and a better slugger than the bulk of the men in the league.
  10. Measurables aside, I don't see Jackson having anywhere near the talent level of Kaepernick. There was a reason Kaepernick was a 2nd round draft pick and Jackson went undrafted. Based on what I've seen, Jackson's ceiling is a 3rd string journeyman. I like the kid and hope I'm wrong.
  11. I hope the first thing he teaches her is his hard learned lesson on keeping your head on a swivel Bills kicker: Will help Lloyd, hope she goes for it If U.S. soccer star Carli Lloyd pursues an NFL career, Stephen Hauschka wants to help however he can. The Buffalo Bills place-kicker told ESPN on Thursday night he is "excited" for Lloyd, who went viral last week after a video of her kicking a 55-yard field goal during a Philadelphia Eagles-Baltimore Ravens practice led to multiple offers from NFL teams. Hauschka, 34, played soccer at Middlebury College before transitioning to football, and said he can relate to Lloyd's consideration to make a similar career move. "I saw the way she kicked that ball and she's obviously got a lot of talent," Hauschka said after the Bills' preseason finale. "It feels close to my heart because when I was 18, 19 years old, I was a soccer player and I had a dream of kicking footballs just for my Division III college team. I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity and I had a coach that showed me how to do it. "If it's something she really wants to do, not only will I help her out -- if she wants it -- but I hope she goes for it. I do think it's possible to kick well in this league as a female. It's a very mental position, it's physical, it's technical and I think it could be done eventually." Read Full Article Seriously though, I think women playing in the NFL in any capacity is unrealistic simply because of the physical aspect. I understand there are woman out there built like men but it's just different when a male kicker is getting laid out than if it's a female the target of those same hits. I can't see this happening.
  12. The WRs wont be judge on off target passes or even if they get open and arent targeted at all. Our coaches arent stupid.
  13. You got the team wrong AND didnt mention the 7th for a 6th. Try harder next time.
  14. Are we forgetting about the role Barkley is playing in Josh's development? That would be a stupid move that I know Beane wouldn't make. We have a GREAT situation right now. Why roll the dice on taking a lesser backup who can't teach Josh ish or maybe even be a cancer...and what? A draft pick? Josh's development is the whole key to the success of this franchise right now. You don't play around with that.
  15. Wrong. I've watched that battle closely and even though I'm a Chad Kelly fan I'm not the type of person who forms biased opinions. If anything I judge those I'm a fan of HARDER. Since you seem so sure about your thoughts, how about a friendly wager: If Kelly beats out Walker for the backup QB job (meaning the professionals who are paid big bucks to make that decision agree with my take) then you start a thread titled "StHustle was right" with a post admitting you were wrong and accept whatever comes with it (mod warning or disciplinary points or what have you) and if Walker beats Kelly out then I'll do likewise. If you're not willing to put up then s*** up.
  16. You, Walker and his family and friends may be the only people in the world who think that.
  17. Tyree got very few reps in training camp...then gets put on the field with very subpar talent around him who also got very few reps in TC. But yeah let's not consider that and rag on him for not looking like an NFL QB.
  18. You are correct. It's nor longer a dress rehearsal, however, for most teams its still the most involved preseason game for the starters.
  19. 4 pages in and nobody has called this out to be the troll post that it is???
  20. Before we picked him up last year he was basically staring down the possibility of his career being over. That would do it for some folks....
  21. Yes his father going off on twitter like that has much more chance to effect Zay's career than him getting a DWI. He certainly isn't helping his son's image amongst the fans, which CAN effect Zay's play on the field. You think players arent affected by their image amongst fans? Especially an emotional guy like Zay?
  22. This Twitter account is brand new, has only 1 tweet and 500 followers. Percy's official Instagram account made no such mention. CLEARLY FAKE. Come on OP...lets try harder next time.
