Bills leaning toward not picking Sammys 5th year option.

Bills Trade Up with the Rams to Get #37
Rigotz replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Instead of talking about the "value chart" how about the fact that we just got a Wide Receiver that EVERYONE had graded as a first rounder? If Sammy doesn't play, or even if he does, have you thought about who would be our #1 or #2 WR? Now it's Zay Jones. I'll flip a late 3rd to an early 5th for that. -
The only question you need to ask yourself
Rigotz replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, you guys are all pessimistic about what our two 1st round picks are going to be a year from now? Sounds about right. -
Bills wanted Lattimore before the Chiefs trade (according to multiple sources). So, would you rather have Lattimore or White plus next year's 1st from the Chiefs and an extra 3rd round pick?

Bills trade #10 for #27, a 3rd, and 2018 1st
Rigotz replied to Imissbeastmode's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are "writing off the season" because we're getting the 27th pick in a deep draft instead of the 10th. Wow. -
Bills trade #10 for #27, a 3rd, and 2018 1st
Rigotz replied to Imissbeastmode's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You people are unbelievable. If you think it's a bad trade you don't understand the value chart. It's also an EXTREMELY STRONG QB CROP next year. That doesn't mean anything to you? And you guys really think the Chiefs are a top 5 team in the NFL? Wow. -
why draft a raw QB when we've got Cardale on the roster
Rigotz replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't really understand this argument. Why do the two have to be mutually exclusive? Doesn't it give you a better chance of winning if you collect as much young talent as possible? Who cares that Cardale isn't ready yet ... that's irrelevant. If you see a good young QB at #10 that you think could be significantly better than Cardale (most quarterbacks) you take him. -
Prospect Watch: Mitch Trubisky QB, UNC
Rigotz replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This doesn't necessarily mean we care about Trubisky and it doesn't even mean that we are in the market for a QB. Trubisky has value. If people think that we're considering a QB at #10 they will either try to hop us and bump another solid prospect down, or trade with us ... which I think is the end game here. Lots of smoke this time of year. Don't forget. -
Bruce Arians: "Only 1 draftable QB ready to start".

Had some easy concentration drops, not "twitchy" fast and plays like a big body guy without being super tall. Straight line speed is fast, but takes a while to get in/out of his breaks. That's pretty much all I could figure out. Scouting reports say he's not a good blocker, but he looks solid ... plays mean. Would much rather have him in the 2nd and a game changing CB/S/TE in the first.

http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/03/20/2017-nfl-draft-chris-godwin-scouting-report-buffalo-bills/ Godwin has been the guy I've wanted since the season ended. I'm still unsure why so many posters think we will spend essentially 3 first round picks on WR by selecting one at #10 when we're a run-first team. Anyway... Godwin could give us really solid #2WR production behind Sammy and potentially even more. Think of a bigger, faster, more explosive Robert Woods.

compensatory picks counter for 2018 Billsy update.
Rigotz replied to cba fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's very frustrating that so many Bills fans don't understand the value of compensatory draft picks. Let me make this very simple for you. Brandon Marshall was traded for a 5th round pick. Marshawn Lynch was traded for a 4th and 6th. Randy Moss was traded for a 4th round pick. Anquan Bolden was traded for a 3rd round pick. Greg Olsen was traded for a 3rd round pick. If you would rather have Vladimir Ducasse and Patrick DeMarco, cool. You can wait until after May 9th to sign those guys or wait for June 1st cuts or actively try to sign cut players and STILL GET YOUR 3RD AND 4TH ROUND COMP PICKS. Our front office (and apparently fans) are just too dumb to understand. -
CJ Spiller wasn't even close to the biggest bust. He scored touchdowns, had some big runs, and flashed big potential. Maybin and McCargo weren't even good enough to be on the field, ever. Maybin had zero career sacks with the Bills and was so tiny the other team just ran at him every time he was on the field. Mike Williams was the 4th OVERALL pick and couldnt even hold down a starting guard role. Probably have to go with him just because he was such a high pick. Losman and Manuel set us back, but at least they could hold down a backup job. Honorable mention goes to Erick Flowers and Reuben Grant. That's just recent guys.

To quote Rex Ryan himself as he walked out the door in Buffalo: I do not wish him good luck. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/rex-ryan-on-the-buffalo-bills-i-dont-wish-them-luck/
-
Please don't. You wanna know the most brutal truth in all of this? The Raiders might actually have a shot at the Superbowl the next 1-2 years ...which means... EJ Manuel might win a Super Bowl ring while Kyle Williams never gets to see the playoffs his entire career.

The fastest way back to the playoffs
Rigotz replied to Bronxbomber21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't care about the fastest way back to the playoffs. Good organizations aren't trying to do that. Good organizations try to build for lasting future success. -
That's completely false. You just have to be smart about your pick-ups. Released players don't count toward the comp pick equation and post-June 1st cuts don't count either. You have to actually think ahead, like the Patriots do ... by acquiring RFA's or guys with high value and only a few years left and you have to let your big dollar FA's walk and build through the draft. This is one of the several reasons building through Free Agency doesn't work and one of the several reasons the Bills are perennial basement dwellers. I would hope the fans have a better understanding, but that doesn't seem to be the case either.

Josh Norris projects that we pick ... wait for it ...
Rigotz replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I'm sure we're not dumb enough to do that again. It's not like we drafted Willis McGahee in the first round when we had Travis Henry coming off a Pro-Bowl season. I mean... It's not like we drafted Marshawn Lynch in the first round when we already had Fred Jackson and Willis McGahee. I mean... It's not like we drafted CJ Spiller in the first round when we had Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson. I mean... WAIT... -
Has any team contacted EJ Manuel about a tryout?
Rigotz replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FYI we should be rooting for someone to sign him. It will help us offset other signings for potential compensatory picks. We actually really need someone to sign him... otherwise we might miss out on getting anything from Gilmore and Woods. -
Why does Chris Brown still have a job? He's an obvious tool of the organization and his fanboy spin of literally every article is completely transparent. There's no objectivity. He never breaks stories. His content isn't interesting. I'll answer my own question. He still has a job because the Bills organization thinks we're dumb enough to believe the spin ...and they're so out of touch that they don't realize we write off every one of his articles and opinions.

Would you trade for Brandin Cooks?
Rigotz replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hi, this is my first post since getting kicked off the old BBMB. No, I would not trade for him. Why would we spend 3 total first round picks on a pair of wide receivers when we never throw the ball ...and then not have the money to re-sign either? The end. Thank you, goodnight.
