Charges filed against Mark and Patricia McCloskey St. Louis prosecutors on Monday filed charges against Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the Central West End couple seen pointing guns at protesters in late June. Patricia and Mark McCloskey are each facing one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon - Flourishing, sources told News 4. </snip> "It is illegal to wave weapons in a threatening matter at those participating in nonviolent protest, and while we are fortunate this situation did not escalate into deadly force, this type of conduct is unacceptable in St. Louis," Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner said in a statement. "We must protect the right to peacefully protest, and any attempt to chill it through intimidation will not be tolerated." </snip>

  3. Red Bull does not plan on #getwokegotbroke. We shall see: Red Bull Replaces Top U.S. Executives Amid Internal Tensions Ousted executives had pushed energy-drink giant to improve diversity and speak out on racial injustice The maker of Red Bull energy drinks has replaced its top U.S. executives amid internal tensions over the closely held company’s response to the Black Lives Matter movement. </snip> Ms. Taylor had been working on diversity and inclusion efforts within the company with Mr. Kozak’s support for several years but was met with opposition when she began advocating for Red Bull to be more overt in its support of racial justice in the last month, according to people familiar with the matter. Some U.S. employees had recently raised concerns about what they considered the company’s inaction on the Black Lives Matter movement and about a racist slide that was in a presentation given at a company event in February. An image of the slide was obtained by Business Insider, which earlier reported on the news. </snip>
  4. Publix is by far my favorite large grocery chain. Wegmans is self-serve take out joint with a few aisles of self-branded grocery items.
  5. Got the clip of where he "was caught telling a falsehood about Biden"?
  6. What? Did you watch that interview?
  7. Damned if he does, damned if he does not.
  8. He's off to Georgia. Wanna bet he does not self-quarantine for two weeks on his return? Rules for thee, not for me says Cuomo. </snip> When asked, Cuomo said he won’t quarantine for 14 days once he returns to New York. Georgia is on New York’s quarantine list, but Cuomo said he’s exempt as an essential worker. </snip>
  9. I think part of it is because the "msm" is constantly distorting, twisting, and outright lying about what the administration is doing and saying in response to COVID-19. If "good ratings" are the results of these pressers, that simply means more Americans are getting accurate information cutting away the "msm" disinformation campaign.
  10. No doubt. We have a lotta Headline Sallys here, too. I am sure the general public does not get much the first paragraph either.
  11. Homeland Security making plans to deploy some 150 agents in Chicago this week, with scope of duty unknown Also, 100 mile border zone refresher. blah, blah blah, democratic talking points... but buried in the article: </snip> On Saturday, the president of the Chicago police’s largest union had sent Trump a letter asking for help from the federal government in putting a lid on crime in the city. “I am certain you are aware of the chaos currently affecting our city on a regular basis now,” John Catanzara, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7, wrote in a letter that was posted on the FOP’s Facebook page. “I am writing to formally ask you for help from the federal government. Mayor Lightfoot has proved to be a complete failure who is either unwilling or unable to maintain law and order here.” So far in 2020, Chicago has experienced one of its most violent years in recent memory, especially since late May with the fallout over the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minnesota. Through July 12, homicides in Chicago were up 48% with 385, compared with 260 at the same time last year, official CPD statistics show. Shootings were also up by 46%. </snip>
