  1. Link to article: On Portland's streets: Anger, fear, and a fence that divides (long twitter thread)
  2. They should have had "***** the police" signs, riot gear, Molotov cocktails, and called it a "protest." Then they could congregate and stay open. I'm not sure how a business owner could vote for a Democratic again. They allow rioters and looters free rein, and arrest small business owners trying to earn a living.
  3. Few people, besides Trump, are talking about how detrimental lack of in-school learning is to those on the lower end of the economic scale. While a lot of great work was done (early on) to have drive-thru breakfast and lunch in some major school systems, that meant the families needed to have a vehicle to do the drive-thru pick-up. Those who really and truly needed to be in school for a meal did not get one. Many school systems had online classes... for participation only. Why? Because disadvantaged children did not have internet at home, let alone a tablet or laptop. (I think that some of the school systems are looking to supply tablets now, and working on hotspots.) Online learning and home schooling takes discipline by the parents and students. If there was a "homework gap" before the shut-down, the learning gap will be massive on the return. Many children need to be in school for nutrition, discipline, and learning. A classroom environment is necessary for their well being. The teachers unions are always spinning this as "for the children!" Many parents are now wondering if that is true. Side questions: I wonder how many students will be permanently moved out of public schools to private schools? I wonder how many students will be permanently moved out of public schools to home schooling?
  4. The second tweet highlights the stupidity off coddling these #######s. WTF would an office tell the people in a vehicle, on a roadway, to turn around? Clear those dipshits off the road with tear gas or by arrest and let the traffic flow.
  5. I see everyone reporting this one way, but I took it quite another: masks were ordered for all by the governor. My guess is these people were calling the governor a Nazi... or at least his order is the opposite of freedom.
  6. My top comment for the last 6-10 months has been a link to the complete story, regardless of where yahoo got the original story. One if the reasons I had come to like the comments.
  7. Yup, they keep asking you to fill out a survey as to whether or not they should keep comments. I am now looking for a new homepage. It was basically a liberal talking points aggregator. The comments would let me know if it was a trial balloon or what the real story was. Without comments? Meh, not worth the time.
  8. Yes, yes, you are wonderful for er, snarky comments. Facts? Ummm... ? Anyhoooooo about Greg and not wanting him to have a time-out again...
  9. I do not want DR banned again. Ever. It was a rough month here without him.
  10. Erm, real, honest data may not lie, but we are getting bull#### "data" daily. The only question is if these "errors" are honest mistakes or cookin' the books.
  11. Red pill moments cannot be posted enough!
  12. I have a tough time believing Joe has any chance, regardless of who his VP is, without wide scale cheating. Everyone has a relative that has some sort of dementia... simply asking, "Do you think Nana is capable of being President? Joe Biden is in no better shape." (fill in the relative) to anyone even considering voting for Joe. People do not even have to go into his corruption, 40+ years in federal "service" accomplishing nothing (except pain for black people) - simply focus on the fact that he is mentally incapable of being the leader of the United States. And, he is not going to get any better cognitively. I've pointed that out to a few people (started with my SIL), and it has worked (light bulb moment). Not saying any of these people will be pulling the lever for Trump, but they are not voting for Biden either. (And this is in NYS!)
  13. I gotta get these "journalists" a dictionary. They clearly have no idea what the word "peaceful." never mind the words "peaceful demonstration," mean.
  14. Backstory: And then, this happened: Red-pilling people one fire bomb at a time...
  15. This is the piece: Reagan Foundation to Trump, RNC: Quit raising money off Ronald Reagan’s legacy The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, which runs the 40th president’s library near Los Angeles, has demanded that President Trump and the Republican National Committee (RNC) quit raising campaign money by using Ronald Reagan’s name and likeness. “It was simply handled with a phone call mid-last week to the RNC, and they agreed to stop,” Reagan Foundation chief marketing officer Melissa Giller said in an email Saturday. </snip>
  16. He can't do an unscripted interview, even with someone as friendly to him as Wallace.
  17. I am not sure how many people here follow Legal Insurrection, but Cornell attempted to cancel Professor Jacobs. (I am pretty sure I posted something earlier in this thread) Here is his latest interview on the matter.
  18. LOL twitchy... We agree with Bill. Man … 2020 just keeps getting weirder.
  19. If this was previously posted, apologies: 2020 Democratic Party Platform Here is the article.
