  1. Wow, I'd love for the Bills offense to be able to execute like the Colts.
  2. The comments did mention it though - well, at least on yahoo where it is being pushed. The people commenting also wrote exactly what these people should do for a bridge loan when they finally do miss a paycheck.
  3. Nawww they couldn't a few pages back when I asked. They certainly aren't going to come up with something good today.
  4. "but our sources say"... who is the source? Clyde the janitor? There was a time when I felt all journalist sources needed to be protected so they would not be afraid to inform investigative reports about the truth of a dangerous situation. Of course, there was also a time when I thought most reporters were journalists. These days, I am not so certain most of the press doesn't make up lies and just print "sources say". If this a lawsuit against McClatchy by Mitchell?
  5. Who says artists can't be funny? This is hilarious (read down for the explanation by gay-jesus-probably so you can better know the players): Note: the bean sculpture is in Chicago Artist Buys Rights To A Black Pigment So Others Can’t Use It, Gets Trolled In Return <snip> However, there was so much more to the story than it first appeared Turns out, there’s much deeper story hiding behind the meme-fied bean. While people on the internet had plenty of fun trolling the sculptor behind the Cloud Gate, it was the least of Kapoor’s worries. Although Anish Kapoor is an established sculptor who’s been knighted in 2013, turns out he is not liked by the art community, as well as the general public. And there’s quite a number of reasons why. (explanation is here) </snip>
  6. Welp, holidays are over and the yellow vest movement isn't getting any smaller. It is now spreading. This guy has a massive thread with a ton of video from all over France: And "yay" we are going to Toulouse later this year (some of Hubby's relatives live there): https://twitter.com/sotiridi/status/1081589285961285647/video/1
  7. That is because she has no fat on her. Collegan can only do so much. When you (generic you) are in front of a TV camera it is tough because you need to be skinny (not just thin) for the camera on your body, but your (generic your) face looks like hell as you age without any fat in it - that youthful, dewy look seldom lasts into your 40s. Now there are exceptions to that (Megyn Kelly for one), but for the most part, look at the women over 45 on the news - they don't get soft-lens treatment (or the retouches for film or stills), so skinny and old looking it is!
  8. Follow-up: Supreme Court could act on mystery Mueller grand jury case Foreign-owned company could have to pay fines The Supreme Court could now decide as early as Wednesday afternoon whether an unnamed foreign-owned company will have to pay daily fines for avoiding a grand jury subpoena related to Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation.
  9. My answer is no. The questions asked had nothing to do with the investigation underway. He never should have had the opportunity to lie, and the answers to those questions were none of their damn business. IOW I think it was a trap set up to embarrass him, ended up getting him to lie instead, and I am not big on entrapment.
  10. Ok, so look at today in the market... the jobs numbers and wage increases came out yesterday and were outstanding. Then, Powell didn't signal that the Feds (yet) had any plans to tank the economy. So, up 700+ points. Monday, someone could say Congress is going to pass X, Y, Z regulations that Trump will sign (unlikely, but as an example), and it will go down 500 points. ?‍♀️ Up, down, back up, back down... people have gone broke (and made fortunes) trying to read the stock market tea-leaves.
  11. Depending on how she votes it would not shock me if the Democrats dumped millions in to primary her.
  12. I was wondering why the Sabres thread wasn't being updated. They should come argue down here when they return. Lots of people argue down here.
  13. ?‍♀️ The new $200 hammer? A way to enrich friends and family? A catch-all slush fund? Your guess is as good as mine.
  14. Nancy wants $12B for "international affairs". How about she gets $7B and the wall - for national security - gets $5B?
  15. They have none, but since his impeachment is politically motivated, the Dems think they have a winner here. The Senate is not convicting (I wonder if they'd even vote on it?) so this truly is a political stunt (and a real mockery of the House's power and the severity of the impeachment process). SMH Apparently, they did not learn from the Republican disaster of impeaching Clinton. Impeachment process The House has initiated impeachment proceedings more than 60 times but less than a third have led to full impeachments. Just eight—all federal judges—have been convicted and removed from office by the Senate. Outside of the 15 federal judges impeached by the House, two Presidents (Andrew Johnson in 1868 and William Jefferson (Bill) Clinton in 1998), a cabinet secretary (William Belknap in 1876), and a U.S. Senator (William Blount of North Carolina in 1797) have also been impeached. “The President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” — U.S. Constitution, Article II, section 4
  16. Some of it definitely was - or did you miss the part where I said everything and anything can spook investors? New congress, old congress, new taxes, budget uncertainty... all tied together.
  17. Welp, elections have consequences This is under a minute, I am sure it could have been hours... or day ... or weeks... long.
  18. 1) He needs to do more of this. The Press will cover it if Trump is there (even if they sound-bite and snippet it later). 2) He needs to stay ON TOPIC (shesh) 3) Is hair optional for Border Patrol Agents?
