I think the police were supposed to be clearing out downtown in advance of a curfew. What do you think they should be doing?

Let me get this straight... rioting had been going on in Buffalo. Someone rammed an SUV into police officers the night (two nights?) before. The riot police were clearing out downtown in advance of a curfew. The riot police told that man to get back several times. They pushed forward. And your assertion is the police were the ones not behaving peacefully?

You equate what happened to George Floyd with riot police telling someone to get back, get back, the person ignores them, they push forward, the person stumbles backward and falls? Yeah, one of those things is not like the other. While the visual of that man on the ground bleeding was awful, truly awful and everyone certainly hopes he recovers fully and completely, who the heck walks up to a line of riot police? Who disobeys a reasonable police order (get back)? Charging those police officers with assault is a political move. It is mob justice. And, mob justice can lead nowhere good.

Well, the way the Democratic Senators were talking, they couldn't, dontchya know?

While the second cop pushing the first cop away to help looks horrible, if you watched the longer video, you will see second cop call out "medic" and the guardsman attend to to the old man immediately (people timed it, it was 15 seconds).

Yesterday, I watched a bit of his Vice Presidential debate vs Sarah Palin. The difference between 2008 Joe Biden and 2020 Joe Biden shows a man in severe cognitive decline. It is like watching two different people. Like him or not, take a look at some of his clips from 10, 20, 30, oh heck, 40 years ago (yeah, Joe's been around a looong time... part of the problem, not part of the solution). He's always been a bullshitter and a liar, but the fall off in the last 10 years is apparent.

Hubby and I decided to go out to dinner this evening. We didn’t make a reservation... big mistake. Every restaurant open with a patio was mobbed. We finally found space at our second favorite Mexican joint (that was doing a booming take-out business). A lot of places were still not open. The first place we tried has a patio, but they were not bothering until they could fully open. Take-out only. I am not sure we will try again before phase 3. Welp, with (probably) no convention and Joey B getting enough delegates, looks like no white knight. The Democrats hopes are with a corrupt, senile old man. Heaven help us if he wins.

I am not on my computer to find the debate clip. Axelrod was busy rewriting history in this Atlantic article, but even they have a no support in 2008. In a quick google search, I cannot find much else for 2008. Oddly, it was simple to find 2012.

I cannot find anything about banning gay adoptions. If you have any recent links, please share. I know anti same sex marriage was both the D (Obama administration) and R official campaign platform until the SC voted to allow same sex marriage. I was surprised by this when watching the debates. At the point it became law, he advised the republicans to change their official position.

I have not followed his bill sponsorships closely. What anti-gay legislation has he sponsored? Did it pass?

Always been the rumor that he is gay. Who cares who someone sleeps with? Note: he's up for reelection, so any accusations should be taken with a grain of salt. May be true, may not be.

No one knows that answer. It has been asked here hundreds of times. My guess is still so they can scream "Political Persecution!!" for whatever past crimes are investigated/indicted. It slipped into elder abuse long ago.
