As my own little protest, I went through and unfollowed all the foodies and recipe bloggers that posted a black square on IG. You make recipes! No need to get political online. Besides that, it doesn't align with your "brand."

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Buffalo_Gal replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Think of it as rapid herd immunity. And, the governors might try and lock down again, or delay openings. I doubt they will have the same cooperation they had last time. If people are allowed to protest without a license (can't have a license if the max for gatherings is 10) or riot and loot, it is unlikely law abiding citizens go along with Kill the Economy Part 2. -

Getty #@!%%#@ I've had that happen to me. I learned to watermark every photo I have taken that is online "photo taken by XX business" use my business name, and my business name is trademarked. If she has the originals, there are places that will do the dirty work for her (and him) because a DMCA isn't enough for Getty. For some reason they can use the law against others, but are immune to having the law used against them. Or he needs to sue them for $1B. -

"borrowed" Washington DC: The push notices from the local MSM have been few and far between. They are using phrases such as “hundred and maybe thousands” and “the largest protest so far this week” so the turn out is not what they expected. I am the sure pics will be “enhanced” and the talking points handed out to make it seem as if they have over run everything. If the photos posted on twitter were enhanced, there were 14 people there. In any event, not the expected turnout.

While I generally agree with you, think about the last 10 days. These "peaceful protests" turned to rioting and looting PDQ. These were riot police clearing out downtown. Do not approach! There is a curfew, go home. As for the elderly being harmless ... until they are not. That is where the audio may come in handy. "harmless" 93 year old.

the guy who put in our driveway was thrilled with his life. He got to work outside for three seasons, and take off during the winter when he skied, snow mobiled, snow boarded, etc. Some people just love wintertime and winter sports. ?♂️

A million people? May have fallen just a wee bit short. They should have stolen some images from Forest Gump.

We’ve got some real beauts down here today. Tibs has got to be concerned for his job.

The same ***** went on with OWS. Same people running the show. The foul stench of George Soros’ money.

That’s just wrong, but I laughed. I denounce myself. ?

While I do not have a criminal justice background, I will tell you one of my son's master's degrees is in criminal justice. I had to proof read all his papers. In that short time I read more about "justice" in our criminal system than I ever thought I would. There is no doubt there are issues and problems - for minorities and whites. Ask any 20 year old male - regardless of color - how often he's been pulled over by the police or had an encounter with a police officer. Now some of that is "young men do stupid things" and some of that is the numbers show that young men do stupid things. Is there a systematic imprisonment and systematic execution of minorities by the government. No. That would be a conspiracy theory to end all conspiracy theories. Here is the definition of the word systematic just so you are clear about what you are alleging. Are there reasons that minorities end up in state prisons (sorry, I have to use wiki or list 50 states, which I will not do) more than than federal prisons where the majority are whites? Yes, and that has to to with crimes committed. Plea deals vs trials also account for some disparities, and that would be something you would have to dive into with attorney representation and prosecutors. Trump's first step act has helped minorities incarcerated for unequal offenses (like crack (minority drug) drawing a higher sentence than cocaine (white drug)).

That was why we had a Florida condo for years. It was great from December through March. Even when it was cold (and it frequently was), no shoveling. Come April 1st though, the heat would get to me and we'd start packing for home.

Nazi Germany: un-arm the people, media propaganda, sow seeds of social disorder, control the churches, ... yeah, sounds like something the radical left might embrace. And since this conversation has devolved into something that has nothing to do with this thread, you have a nice day. ?

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

Oh, good one. I was watching the Joe Biden vs Sarah Palin debate yesterday, @transplantbillsfan My goodness how Joe Biden has declined. It is sad. You may want to take a look at Joe-B's decline the last few years. The decline is stark. -
He could have not approached them. He could have listened to their easy to comply (get back) order. He stumbled and fell. Everything in that encounter was on that man. He started the encounter, he did not obey the order to get back, and he was not going home for curfew. If you have not watched the longer video, I urge you to do so. When I initially watched the shorter video I blamed the police for the encounter. The second video adds more to the story. The body cams will add even more as they are video and audio (I asked about audio and @Koko78, our resident legal eagle confirmed there is audio on them).
