AFC Championship Game- How do you feel now about it?
Doc Brown replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kind of a microcosm of the season. Outperform expectations just to get to a spot where we lose to the Chiefs again in nearly the exact same way we lost at least the last two Chief playoff games. A heck of an athlete play by Kincaid to stop on a dime and adjust to the ball just to have it go through his hands. Lake Erie curse. -
A list bands usually won't book Highmark stadium on their tours because of Buffalo's lower population compared to most major cities with sports teams. Lower ticket sales lead to lower revenue for bands. A new domed stadium isn't going to change that.

Free Agent Lull.... are we done minus bit players or more to come?
Doc Brown replied to JP51's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's pry some hesitancy with 1st round corner by Bills fans because of Elam not working out and CB being an obvious need going into that draft. T. White did though picking near the end of the 1st round. I'm not sure if that was a Whaley or McDermott pick though. If another potential T. White like corner falls into the mid 20's I could see the Bills moving up. Von Miller's trying to recruit him so I doubt it. -
I've seen it but never when the goalie was already pulled for that extra attacker. It reminded me of the 2016 finale at the Jets where we didn't field the kickoff and the Jets recovered it in our end zone late in the 4th quarter. I thought at the time that yup....this is rock bottom. I believe Rex had just got fired.

Still ticks me off that we needed to give up a 3rd for bringing in Cooper because Beane never drafted or traded for Diggs replacement. We could easily package our 1st round pick and two 2nd round picks to get into the top half of the 1st round of the draft but man would it be nice to have that 3rd round pick though. -
Former Bill, Marcellus Wiley accused of rape
Doc Brown replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's a civil suit. Wiley isn't going to jail. Also, he can sue them for defamation of character if he chooses. -
Sign Beane and McDermott for life. I've never seen this before. "Hey, we just got a penalty called. Let's score on our own net."

Benford was an outlier given his draft position (we drafted a punter before him) and about half of first round picks are busts. Odds of that happening again are slim. Just because Elam was a swing and a miss doesn't mean you take another swing. I think they draft at least one with their first three picks and then one in the later rounds. -

For those interested. He's been consistently awful if you lend credence to PFF scores. First four years PFF run defense grades starting in 2020 - 39.1, 40.7, 37.9, 40.7

Four seasons with Arizona - 89 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and 7 QB hits. He'll fit right in.

If he sets the floor than we're living in a basement at CB2. -

What? There's an abundance of research out there that victims of rape are significantly less likely to report it than other forms of assault. I would maybe do a little research or just sit this one out. -

I'm not saying that's better or worse than rape so don't strawman me. Never experienced either. You're more likely to report being beaten a pulp and your car stolen than being raped though. I'm just going by the research man. -

You just answered your own question. -
I never thought I'd say this about the Patriots but beggars can't be choosers. Also, say what you want about Diggs the person but I never questioned his work ethic when he's locked in. If there's anybody that can come back from an ACL tear even in his early 30's and still be at least a serviceable WR2 it's him.

There's a better shot he signs with the Toronto Argonauts than signing back here.
-
Patriots front office saw him play against them twice every year and burn their CB's on multiple occasions. They also saw the year two to three leap happen with Allen when we traded for Diggs. When Diggs is in the right frame of mind he can be a QB's best friend and be a leader among the young WR group they have. Giving him a one year contract with all the cap space they have is pry worth it in their minds when it comes to developing Maye.

He might have to make amends with about six fans though.

Another scenario I rarely here mentioned is that Diggs was going to be traded by the Vikings that year likely to a team ahead of in the draft for their first round pick. Vikings still take Jefferson and we pry take Brandon Aiyuk or Laviska Shenault.

We already blew it by not trading for Metcalf. Let me know if there's a WR who's a 6'4" physical freak that runs a 4.33 40 time in this draft. -
NFL is where 31 of 32 fan bases are disappointed at the end of each year. You have to enjoy the season in the moment. It was a really fun year to be a Bills fan.

Andrew Luck averaged getting stacked 2.02 times per game. Joe Burrow has averaged getting sacked 2.96 times per game. He's going to have to play through a lot of pain if he wants a long career.
