Brady will have just a marginal effect on this season. The only way this team can get by KC/Cincy in the playoffs is 1) Keep your defense healthy 2) Tell your defense to make a play or 2. Josh will always generate points.

Absolutely....this narcissist who talks out of both sides of his mouth will lose the locker room with another of his "go out and get high" 3 day Ayahuasca retreats.

First of all a great rundown by Brett & EJ covering many topics. The EPA discussion was inciteful and to some degree accurate. Brady found a way to make a better and more efficient use of our ground game between the 20's. We found that less risky chunk plays allowed the offense to move field position. And we didn't need Diggs to accomplish this. There's alot to be said for praising the NE quick release style of offense as we saw opening night against the Rams 2 yrs ago. Our draft was above average and hopefully the defensive picks pan out. I didn't agree with their assessment that we still have a good pass rush or that Cook can catch the ball. I think Diggs & Davis will only be missed in volume, but not in clutch plays. Hopefully this gagle of slot guys steps up considering we'll go the whole season without a true #1. With Josh our floor is always around 10 wins. But because of this year's tougher schedule, I have our ceiling at 11. Coleman will be better than Worthy.

Championship Quest stolen by Lions - K Bates signed

Well we better pick someone up because reports are Bass looks worse than ever. -
Did Gugny miss all this? He must have been out of town.

Who is on your All-Time Buffalo Bills Mt. SHUSHmore?
LABILLBACKER replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. OJ....he's the reason this LA kid started following the Bills. Was it a gift or a curse? 2. Rob Johnson...good ole RoboSack. I know Flutie has his haters but this SC loser was utterly useless. Bandana Bob.... 3. Chris " lunchpail" Kelsay....like Gunner said, it was like the organization didn't care anymore running this AJE clone out there every year. Yay...5 sacks a year! 4. Last but not least Tremaine Edmunds. The greatest coverage lb in the history of the Bills who could stay within 10 yards of Travis Kelce. You could count on 1 hand how many big plays he made in his Bills career. At least he's still raw at 22. ....honorable mentioned goes to all the loser coaches of the drought. -
Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)
LABILLBACKER replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's not going to be any better this season. Once you get the yips and lose your mental edge in your specialty, it rarely returns. The mistake we made was prematurely extending his contract. Can we just once let a player's first contract play out first. He's going to break our hearts again. Count on it.... -
Brandon Beane’s Tenure by Letter Grade—Poll is Up!
LABILLBACKER replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is exactly my thoughts. He gets a A-/B+ from me based on consistency. His greatest achievement will always be trading up to take a risky qb from Wyoming. His one big failure would be not yet finding an elite pass rusher to compliment Josh. If Josh had a Chris Jones maybe we have a couple Lombardis?? All in all we're extremely fortunate to have Brandon Beane. McDermott is a whole different argument. -
Is James Cook a Top-Five All Time Bills Running Back?
LABILLBACKER replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's a nice runner between the 20's but his lack of focus on the drops/fumbles will keep him from ever being legendary like Thurman. -
It's 1:09am in LA and I'm up with insomnia reading this cheery news. It better be minor.

Is it just me, or do some arguments here drag on ad nauseam?
LABILLBACKER replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
We're arguing about our freedom to argue. -
808, that's one of the better ways of assessing our situation these last 4 years. Beane took a HR swing on Von Miller and it failed miserably. It wasn't Brandon's fault that Von got injured but the signing based on age & longevity was a big risk. McDermott's legacy will always be twofold. 1) Did he waste Josh's career?....2) Why couldn't his defenses make a couple critical playoff stops against Mahomes/Burrow. And as the McD supporters continue to rationalize, "give him a chance, it took Andy several years"....but just remember, there's a reason Andy fired Sean.

I'm so sick of hearing about Josh Allen's Turnovers (fun article)
LABILLBACKER replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup, I personally will enjoy this ride for as long as he's under center. He'll easily go down as the greatest qb in Bills history regardless of if he wins a SB or not. He'll also be considered one of the top 5 all time athletic qbs in NFL history. It's insane to believe that in a couple years he could be the leading Bills rushing td leader in history. And if the gods keep a Lombardi away from him it will be because of coaching incompetence and defensive playoff meltdowns. He definitely is an alien...cyborg...warrior...whatever title you choose would be accurate. -
I agree...all the mvp voters care about is how few interceptions you have.
-
He just reminds me of a faster more explosive version of Cole Beasley. Khalil will definitely be our #2 WR this season. He can actually break a tackle unlike Beas. You can't go wrong with Moulds as your trainer. Shakir will have a very good season.

Bring in Bates & Butler...rattle Bass's cage a little. Since 80% of the fans want to run Claypool out with torches & pitchforks, you can never have too many wrs.

Random talking head says something about the Bills
LABILLBACKER replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why don't we just start a dedicated Nick Wright thread. Good or bad he's always going to be the national Bills antagonist. He got the top 3 right and yes Lamar is incredibly overrated and overhyped if for no other reason than his yearly playoff failures. -
A 5th round wr is hardly a lock to play his final years. So far we know nothing about Shorter's project-ability. We at least have a decent first 2 year resume on Claypool.
-
I too think there's an outside shot at McD keeping 7. I love this top 6 list but have no clue who that 7th wr would be? Probably does come down to Hamler/Shorter. But neither are seeing any substantial targets.
