Game Week: Week 15 Carolina Panthers at Bills thread
LABILLBACKER replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said top pick, not first round. But there have historically been several teams that have selected DT's in the 1st round. It wouldn't be my strategy but McD won't be able to help himself. He's as done with Star as we are fan wise, so it wouldn't shock me to see him draft a DT/1tech type somewhere in the first 3 rounds. -

He's been such an overpaid stiff and disappointment. Another failed Carolina pick up. He'll be released after the season. As much as we need 4+ new olineman, McD will probably be forced to burn a top pick on a 1T replacement. Unless he can find a good FA not from Carolina. -
2022 RB Draft class looks pretty good

Hey I get it. We need a 1T monster and a CB2 really bad. If we can court Scherff than that frees up a high pick for 1T. CB2 is not as high a priority with guys like Wallace, Jackson and Lewis serviceable. The possible CB pick will also depend on how Tre's rehab is going. The emphasis this spring still has to be centered on OL. I sick and tired watching Josh run for his life. -
If the Bills re-sign Edmunds, they're stupid.

He's not even worth Milano money. He does 50% of his job well on pass coverage. Whoopdedo.....last I checked there's still alot of NFL teams not afraid to run the ball down our throat. Not so Tremainedous just sucks at all aspects of run support. And therefore he's a liability. If he wants to try OLB for under $10M fine? -

I'm glad someone else noticed that. As much as I'm hopefully for Spencer's development, he looked terrible v TB. And Dawkins has been off all season. -

Totally agree. Beane's strategy this offseason HAS to be committing 3 high picks to G/C. Even if that means signing a big name FA like Scherff. Most of the resources have to be focused on OL. I'm not thrilled about our 3 headed rb monster but I could live with Singletary one more year then go shopping in 23 for an elite RB. The only thing that terrifies me is McD will insist on a defensive player somewhere in the first 3 rounds. -

Daboll a consideration for Jags HC

Daboll is alot like Edmunds, we're stuck with them for one more year. -

He'll be available in the 2-3 round unless he runs a 4.4 Seen all his games and he's definitely better than Singletary & Moss. I think we'll keep Devin as cheap insurance but hopefully 3rd times a charm for Beane and RB's. Kenneth Walker I like too. He single handedly destroyed Harbaugh. -

There are absolutely zero 1st round worthy RB's. I would have no problem with Walker or Charbonnet as long as they're no slower than 4.55 We need to make Scherff our big FA and draft a G in the first. -

How about "Not so Tremainedous"....or Edmud -
At least he had the courtesy of not using "we will win out" in the title. But wait doesn't Italian have 7 letters. The same amount of points in a td? Wasn't mafia originated in Italy?....Could this thread be fate?....Naaaa.... back to the hot Italian chicks.....

A Little Perspective: Why we shouldn't be down on the McBeane Regime
LABILLBACKER replied to folz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well Hampton, I may not agree with you on Edmunds but you are absolutely 100% right on this. Beane and McDermott should not be going anywhere. Yes they have flaws in their jobs but their positives should outweigh the negatives. They need to sit down together and realize the future of this team has to be building a monster offense around your superstar. I know it goes against every fiber in McD's defensive nature. I'm convinced if we had spent more resources on the OL/RB last offseason we would not have lost to Pittsburgh, Jacksonville and that 1st NE game. That would put us at 10-3. If they continue to value defense over offense in the next couple years then it will reflect terribly on this organization.
