Yup. I think we were mostly conservative because the Ravens never really slowed down our run, then McD played his usual way with a lead. It allowed us to be conservative. I think we are basically waiting (almost begging) for teams to stack the box so Josh can torch them but they won’t do it. It’s a good situation.

Everyone has seen us lose in a multitude of ways which is how these narratives come to life. A dropped 2 point conversion to tie the game becomes “losing the game” because we’ve always lost those types of games. People assume that if they tied it, we would definitely lose.

After watching it again, he wasn’t all that good. The passes where he was rushed and flat out missed were really important plays in the game. Overall, he was pretty sloppy except for the few long completions.

I would’ve rolled Josh out with the option to throw on 2ND down. Then run (not from shotgun)on 3rd down, FG. Tush push was a bad idea.

This is what MCD does with a lead at the half. 1st half: game plan works perfectly, 2 turnovers, we get a lead, which then takes Henry out of the game. That is the perfect scenario to be in. Couldn’t be better. 2nd half: McD gets scared and conservative and gives back ALL of those advantages that the players earned in the 1st half. Game gets closer. Running with Henry now becomes an option for Ravens with plenty of time on clock. Henry destroys us. Defense is gassed.

Let’s not pretend that McD wasn’t in his ear demanding ball protection/no risk on those drives.
