Their defense went from worst to well above average in 1 offseason and ours has been consistently bad against good QBs for almost a decade now.

He already pretended to do that this season when he hired all of those specialists. That was intended to buy his scheme 1 more year. Everyone fell for it.

McD proved last season that he will make adjustments to the D at the end of the season and through the playoffs but you’re not doing it with this secondary. The way it’s looking Poyer will be starting at some point, Hairston will be splitting time with White, Benford will be injured, Rapp is brutally slow. Were a few weeks away from Hamlin time. Thats obviously not going to get it done. Im not so worried about our run defense right now. That will continue to improve.

We need 2 CBs. 1 to start right now, and 1 to finish when we lose 1 due to injury. This season is pretty much a repeat if McD tries to do the split time thing with White and Hairston, like he was planning with Strong and White. White needs to be off the field. Benford and Rapp are also huge liabilities with injuries. We need multiple secondary players asap.

We haven’t really done that in years, especially at home. It’s always been terrible quarters in each game in the McD era but the quarter usually changes each year. First it was starting slow, then awful 3rd quarters, etc. It unique to McD.

It was a terrible night for the secondary but the rest of the D (minus Milano) wasn’t all that bad. Much improved I’d say but teams will just target White all day so it doesn’t really matter. Rapp and Benford are very average players too. Big trouble ahead unless the lineup changes and we can’t count on rookie Hairston to save us.

Choosing familiarity with scheme (Tre and others) over skill will probably cost us the number 1 seed. Not at all surprising for McD.

Their season is over and I’m thrilled. There aren’t many teams they can beat. Teams have figured out how to spy Lamar in a new way and it’s confusing the hell out of him.

Marrone obviously ain’t playing this time. He didn’t appreciate how you relentlessly attacked him on the radio for not going for it on every 4th down. He comin.

When I think back, I do remember Bosa having problems getting burned on the edge as a Charger. I think that’s probably going to continue. We’ll live.

Vrabel has been a pest in the past so we need to wreck him.

McD takes these Pats games pretty serious so I’m expecting a rout.

Babich was a mess in the recent press conference so he’s definitely feeling the heat. He wasn’t making any sense at all. In the coming weeks it should be simplified at the very least. There’s continuous confusion pre-snap and our guys have no idea what they’re supposed to do. A decision should be made right after the Chiefs game.
