Excited for the new Tarantino movie. Surprised Brad Pitt and Leo DiCaprio haven't worked together more over the years. And it's the first time Al Pacino has worked with Tarantino, so that'll be interesting. Planning to see it at the world's greatest movie theater (The Hollywood Theater in Portland) on opening night.

Saw this article on Profootballtalk yesterday and one tidbit jumped out. Thought it was pretty interesting. I can't help but wonder if this streak will finally end this season, or if, through some strange turn of events, the streak will continue. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/07/07/frank-gore-not-approaching-2019-as-final-season/ Frank Gore not approaching 2019 as final season Posted by Josh Alper on July 7, 2019, 11:47 AM EDT ....Gore led the Dolphins in rushing last year and has been his team’s leading rusher in every season that he’s played a game. Should that streak continue in 2019, it’s probably a good bet that someone will give him a chance to continue the run in 2020.

I wonder how other teams' fans would've felt about Patrick Mahomes after HIS rookie season? I get that the Chiefs board isn't as cool as Two Bills Drive, but if Zero insists on hanging around here, I'm not sure why the only he ever seems to "contribute" is with inflammatory comments, smack talk about Josh Allen, or other generally non-productive garbage. I mean...he DID show us pictures of his wife one time, so I guess that was...pretty cool? Other than that, he just seems to post a whole lot of rubbish that borders on trolling.

Wife works for a company that produces CBD body care products. Lotions, balms, salves, the whole deal. Pretty big, nationally distributed company. Soon to be available in Wegman's even. Anyway...I have found that WELL MADE CBD products (and that's the key, because there's a whole lot of crap out there on the market) have several extremely helpful properties. The principal things I have noticed are anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Putting some of the lotion on a sore shoulder or elbow really helps with both pain and inflammation. Additionally, I have found that consuming CBD in edible or tincture form is a great reliever of pain from headaches and toothaches. There are scores and scores of uses for CBD. It's quite the wonder substance. And, as mentioned by others in this thread, it won't get you "high". That being said, CBD works optimally in the human body when paired with at least a LITTLE THC (the psychoactive component in cannabis), which aids the effectiveness of the human body's endocannabinoid receptors in processing the CBD. Here's an interesting article about the scientific particulars of CBD and the human endocannabinoid system, if anyone is interested. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5938896/

I live in Portland, OR. About once every 4-6 months we get an article about how we're overdue for "the big one". The Cascadia subduction zone is the source of the worry. An 8.0 or 9.0 earthquake on the way. Apparently, the infrastructure of Portland is NOT prepared to handle it, and they predict most of the city's buildings and bridges will be destroyed. They claim the whole CITY will essentially be destroyed. I worried about it for a week or so when I first heard, but then it dawned on me: Much of the country deals with hurricanes, tornadoes, or deadly blizzards every single year. I can't spend much time worrying about something that MIGHT happen some day. Side note, this thread has reminded me of a great old Rodney Crowell tune (later covered by the Grateful dead after the quake of '89) called California Earthquake:

The Athletic - $24 for 1 year - today only
Logic replied to Jukester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The slow trickle of articles in the "down time" between the draft and training camps is a real thing at The Athletic. Once training camp starts, there are daily articles. Once the season starts, then it's REALLY worth the price. Admittedly, though, there's not much new content on there between May 1st and July 27th. -
Five Teams Entering Their Super Bowl Window
Logic replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To put the Dolphins in there over not only the Bills, but Jets as well, is silly. Even if he's not a Josh Allen fan, one would think that the Jets with Darnold (who showed great promise) and Le'Veon Bell on offense and CJ Mosley, Quinnen Williams, and Jamal Adams leading the defense ought to be in well ahead of the Dolphins. The Dolphins?! I mean...WHAT?! The argument could be made that they're literally the furthest from entering a "Super Bowl window" of any team in the league. -
New Turf at New Era Field - Question? ** ANSWER!!
Logic replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They should really sell the end zone squares for cheaper. They're only lightly used. -
The only way I see this happening is if Yeldon proves to be more capable at special teams than Sinorise Perry. I would say that's pretty unlikely, as Perry is known as one of the better special teams contributors from the HB position in the entire league. Thus far, in both his first and second season as head coach, McDermott has kept a 4th HB almost solely for special teams purposes. This is going to happen at WR, too. The top 4 sports are locked in with Brown, Foster, Jones, and Beasley. Roberts is also a lock, as he will be the primary KR. That leaves likely only ONE WR spot available at most. McKenzie, McCloud, Williams, Sills, Easley, and Phillips will have to battle for that one spot. If the Bills keep only FIVE WRs, well...there really aren't any spots available on the 53-man roster. McDermott loves him some special teams.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've actually been enjoying this NJPW stuff so much that I've become a bit obsessed. I've been reading all about the history of the company (some of which I knew, much of which I did not), watching documentaries, basically learning everything I can about the organization and its wrestlers. So far, I absolutely love it. Aside from having the best actual WRESTLING on the planet, it logically addresses just about ALL of the problems I have with modern WWE (giving meaning to the title belts, the various tournaments that set up feuds and storylines throughout the year, countouts resulting in title changes, etc, etc). It's just awesome. As a matter of fact, I'm enjoying it so much that I plan to cancel my WWE Network membership on July 1st and subscribe to NJPWWorld instead. Can't wait to watch as much as I can of this year's G1 Climax, not to mention the scads of historical stuff I want to watch (Pegasus Kid vs Great Sasuke, Liger vs Muta, Dynamite Kid vs Tiger Mask, all Okada vs Tanahashi matches, etc). I haven't felt this excited about wrestling (at least modern, non-nostalgia-tinted wrestling) in 20 years. It's nuts.

New Turf at New Era Field - Question? ** ANSWER!!
Logic replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As has been stated before: The red paint fades too fast into a pinkish color. For that reason, and also because blue is clearly the primary color with which the Bills want to identify, I don't see the red end zones coming back any time soon. With any luck, the NFL will change the dumb "only one color helmet allowed" rule, and we'll get 90s throwbacks some day. End zones, though? It ain't happenin'. -
Indeed. It's like these analysts forget over and over and over again that the salary cap is constantly rising and that players aren't the highest paid at their position for very long. Within two seasons, Morse won't even be in the top 3. Oh, and if the Bills are going to "overpay" for something, let it be someone who will directly impact the success of the quarterback to the degree that Morse will. If it helps Allen turn into a bona fide franchise QB, then it's money extremely well spent.

When did Don Beebe become a Bills legend???
Logic replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aaaaaaannnnddd..... We've reached peak offseason at Two Bills Drive. -
Riiiiiight. I mean it's not like the greatest coach in the history of football was the defensive coordinator for the opposition and drew up a defensive gameplan so great that it's in the Pro Football Hall of Fame or anything. Any coach worth his salt could've beaten Parcells/Belichick that day! And while we're at it, it's not like Levy had the Bills in position to win the game on a 47-yard field goal or anything. I'm all for listening to a reasonable "Marv was to blame" argument...but "any coach worth his salt" could've won? Really?!

Jonah Williams will miss the 2019 season
Logic replied to Captain Murica's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ugh. That sucks. Hope he recovers quickly and well. Unrelated to the injury, I'm super glad the Bills didn't draft him. -
Stumbled across this on Twitter today. In a nutshell, the chart shows how often teams made the decision on 4th down that matched what the New York Times 4th Down bot (which is built based on what decisions analytics suggest give a team the best statistical chance at winning) suggested. The higher you are on the chart, the more often you made a "good" choice on 4th down. This chart is just for the 2018 season. It shows the Bills as the 6th "smartest" or "most frequent makers of correct decisions" on 4th down. I find it interesting because so many people claim that McDermott is an awful 4th down decision maker. At least one source, the one mentioned here, disagrees.

The Athletic - $24 for 1 year - today only
Logic replied to Jukester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To each their own, I guess Personally, I'm fine with paying less in one year than I pay on one bar tab to support journalism and have access to quality content and great articles. I'd also rather pay $2 a month than have to close sixteen popups and videos any time I want an article. But again, to each their own. -

Are you being facetious? $2 a month is too much? Most people happily spend $24 on one meal without blinking. -

Murphy getting 8-10 sacks this year would go a long way toward improving the Bills pass rush. If he could meet his vast potential, paired with the recent contract extension of Jerry Hughes, it would put the Bills in decent to good shape for the next couple years, in terms of pass rush. Even so, they need to (and likely will) invest high draft picks into the position next offseason, as well as probably spending some free agency dollars. The only thing that can vastly change both the short AND long term outlook at the EDGE position is if Shaq Lawson suddenly breaks out and becomes a 10+ sack-per-year guy. Now THAT would be something. -
Matt Parrino Projects The Bills 53 Man Roster
Logic replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Indeed. Someone pointed out that he only played around 20% of offensive snaps. He also, however, played all four special teams units. Add 20% of offensive snaps to playing all four special teams units and you have a rosterable player. He certainly saw the field more than, say, a WR5 who doesn't play special teams would. We must also remember that McDermott and Daboll both come from pasts that always involve fullbacks of some sort on the roster. Nothing about their "upbringing" in football would suggest that they're suddenly going to axe the position entirely. -

Logic replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. I think Daboll is going to roll out a lot of two and three TE sets this year, a la New England. I think they like both new youngsters and Lee Smith. Those three are locks. They're not cutting Kroft. Finally, I think Croom sticks a flex TE/slot option. -

I agree with a lot of it, but not all. I have Perry making the roster over Yeldon due to special teams ability. I do NOT see the Bills keeping 7 WRs, but would be pleasantly surprised if they did. I think you can subtract one receiver from that list and replace him with a tight end.
