The rest of what you said is exactly the problem: Even though all those lives SHOULD matter the same amount, the events throughout our country the past few years (or, hell, the past 400 years) show that black lives seem to matter less to many people, including many police precincts. THAT'S the problem. What you said ("Lives matter, period") is true. It is not how things seem to operate in this country, however, so here we are.

As to your second question: If the peaceful protest breaks no laws, i.e. walking down the street carrying a sign and chanting a slogan, then yes, there's a difference between that and trespassing on private property and drinking in public. Additionally, the fact that you equate protests for social justice as being the same in level of importance and legality as drinking outside a football stadium (on private property) makes you look silly.

If you go try to drink on private property, you're not "law abiding", you're breaking TWO laws. Grow up.

Thanks sincerely to the well wishers. As to the few of you who came in to push some sort of political narrative....That's pretty damned insensitive, in my opinion. I purposely posted this thread here rather than in PPP because political discussion wasn’t really the point. It’s hard to be motivated to do a political deep dive on this topic when 10% of my state’s residents have been displaced and the ashes of dead trees and animals are raining down in my front yard and I can’t step foot outside and people are dying and I can’t breathe well. For some, it may be an abstract topic to discuss dispassionately. For me, it’s sad and dangerous and ***** scary. Im not the forum police. Discuss what you want, how you want. Please at least consider being respectful and humane, and remember that people’s homes and lives are at stake and are more than just fodder for whatever political point you want to make.

I can't wait until Monday Night Football returns to ABC in the next couple of seasons, with Peyton Manning its lead broadcaster. THAT will be cause for celebration. This is what I do every year. It has never failed me in five seasons now (knock on wood). I just use an HDMI cable to hook my computer to my TV, and boom, high definition NFL football in my living room. The neat thing about NFL Gamepass is that it also gives you access to 30-minute "express" versions of every game the day after they air. It cuts out all the down time and commercials between plays. It makes it possible to watch other games or to re-watch Bills games without taking up much time. You ALSO get access to the ALL-22 (coach's footage) of every Bills game by mid-week, which can be neat to watch for key plays. Last but not least, you get all of the NFL Network material on demand (all the "A Football Life" programs that ever been made, etc), Red Zone channel, NFL Network live, and an archive of games going back years (including every Super Bowl ever), just in case you want to watch, say, the 2017 Bills opening week game, just to see how far the team has come. I don't mean to sound like a commercial for Gamepass, but it's a buy I never, ever regret.

Are the VPNs you used of the free variety? I pay for ExpressVPN, which is as legit as it gets. I never have luck with free VPNs. If you DO end up heading off to the bar, well....God speed!

I expect sloppiness and mistakes early on. Remember last season's opener against the Jets? The Bills kept shooting themselves in the foot. And that was AFTER a full, regular offseason and four preseason games. I don't realistically see the Bills (or any team, really) coming out of the gate firing on all cylinders. I feel like the first quarter of just about every NFL game this season will be kind of sloppy and ugly. That said, I expect a Bills win, but not a blowout like some do. I think it'll be more like 19-13 Bills.

It wouldn't surprise me if this wound up being almost a redshirt season for Epenesa. In the second half of the year, start dressing him and getting him some reps. This offseason has been anything but normal, and the lack of preseason action may be a big loss for rookie defensive linemen. The Bills are in the rare (for them) and envious position of not actually urgently needing Epenesa to contribute right away, so if they want to let him learn from the bench for a little while, so be it.
