  1. The most telling comment to me is "we're thinking more long term than short term" at pick 30. It would seem to indicate that they're not thinking "who's going to push us over the top in 2021", but rather, "who's gonna help us BEYOND this coming year, once we have to start cutting expensive vets to accommodate Allen's extension and the reduced cap". To me, it opens the door to positions like IOL (Creed Humphrey as a potential long term replacement for Morse), IDL (Barmore or Onwizureke?), a developmental EDGE prospect, even LB. It also doesn't close the door on the already perceived "favorites" at 30, like CB or WR. WR, actually, is a pretty interesting possibility. Sanders is only on a one-year deal and Beasley isn't exactly a spring chicken.
  2. Congrats, Augie! The draft is cool, but your son getting married is cooler! (.....that said, I trust you'll sneak away to check your phone here and there to see who's gonna be a Bill? 😝 )
  3. With the 75th pick in the 2021 TSW Mock Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Jabril Cox, LB, LSU Our once promising linebacker duo of Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch was disappointing last year. Furthermore, Vander Esch's college injury woes seem to have followed him to the pros. Having already upgraded our secondary with the additions of Jaycee Horn and Jevon Holland, we now turn our attention to the front seven. With his athleticism and adeptness in zone and man coverage, Jabril Cox will fit in perfectly in new DC Dan Quinn's defense. @section122 And the Baltimore Ravens are now on the clock.
  4. I see linebacker listed as a need for the Lions after WR and CB. If no one has any better ideas, I say give them Cameron McGrone, LB Michigan. Hometown boy. The Draft Network's 43rd ranked player and LB6.
  5. Aaron Rodgers or Derrick Henry. My money's on Henry.
  6. I’m just absolutely not buying the Mac Jones thing. No way they gave up that much capital for Jones. It has all the makings of a heavily pumped smokescreen, similar to how many outlets insisted the Dolphins were taking Herbert in the week leading up to draft day last year. Its Fields or Lance. Has to be.
  7. It’s gonna be Justin Fields. Outside chance that it’s Trey Lance. No chance it’s Mac Jones.
  8. I’m fine with using pick 61 on a DT. People talk about finding difference makers/playmakers in the 1st two rounds. Well, in my mind, we have three players already on the roster that need to make more plays, that need to take a step and fulfill their potential as playmakers: Oliver, Edmunds, and Epenesa. As such, drafting a facilitator who could help unlock and free up those players is just as good as adding another flashy playmaker. I’m ESPECIALLY ok with taking a 1T at 61 if he also adds some pass rush value, as McNeil seems to.
  9. As I understand it, Alim McNeil's college coach is close with Sean McDermott, too. He seems a good fit for the Bills physically and mentally. The third round seems like the sweet spot for a 1T, in any case.
  10. I was reflecting on the various positions of need for the Bills today, and it occurred to me that the one thing I REALLY hope they come out of the draft with is a quality 1T defensive tackle. We all hope that Star Lotulelei returns at full strength this year and that Harrison Phillips takes a step forward that provides some hope that he can be the long term 1T for the Bills. Hope is not a strategy, however. In my opinion, the Bills direly need to draft a legitimate 1T prospect this year, let him learn the ropes under Star for a year and have a rotational role, and take over the primary spot next year, allowing them to move on from Star next year if they wish. I have seen how much of an effect a good 1T can have on the McDermott defense overall. I have seen how much the LACK of a good 1T has had a noticeably detrimental effect on the defense overall. In order for players like Ed Oliver, AJ Epenesa, Tremaine Edmunds, and Matt Milano -- ie the young core that our defense will likely be built around for the next few years -- to thrive fully, I believe a good 1T is necessary. This does not mean I view it as the biggest need or that I want the Bills to draft one in the first round. It simply means that, when the draft has come and gone, one way or the other, I want the Bills to have acquired a good young tackle prospect. What about you? Complete the sentence: "The one thing I hope we come out of the draft with is...". Elaborate if you wish, or don't. Name specific players if you want, or don't. But limit it to one thing. We all know and can generally agree on the list of Bills needs. I want to know what ONE thing you, specifically, want to make sure the Bills acquire on draft weekend.
  11. I don't remember the #Notmypresident people storming the capitol with zipties, building gallows on the national mall grounds, or trying to kill any congresspeople, no.
  12. You know what else is a crime that many Americans haven't gotten used to? Extra-judicial murder by policemen. And just to be clear: You can't post a single link to a reputable news source claiming that Antifa burned anything down, despite claiming that there were bunches of them. Got it. Perhaps that's because no such reports exist? If any of you can provide any link verifying the "Antifa sets fires" version of the story, I'd be happy to read it. To reiterate: I'm not denying that fires were set. I'm pointing out that any time angry/fed up citizens protest, riot, or destroy property, they get called "antifa" by right wingers. It's a catch-all boogeyman term that gets applied to anyone who protests police brutality or white supremacy, or who destroys property. It paints a picture of an evil cabal of violent anarchists rampaging around, destroying things for no good reason. It ignores the context of the destruction being a response to ongoing extra-judicial police murders. It ignores the context of counter-protesting White Supremacist demonstrations by the likes of the Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer. It falsely claims that anybody who does protest such killings or such racist displays all belong to an easy-to-label, capital "B" Bad group of people called Antifa. It's intentionally misleading, inflammatory, and inaccurate. And you'll have to excuse me if I roll my eyes a little bit at the pearl clutching about property destruction by people who were/are likely just fine with the seditionist capitol insurrection that claimed the lives of capitol police officers and sought to murder sitting congressmen. I know at least that @B-Man and @leh-nerd skin-erdhave posted multiple links or comments that seek to minimize the capitol riot and talk about it as if it was nothing, or claim the reports of armed insurrection were exaggerated, despite the fact that Capitol police officers were literally murdered, and that we have pictures of people with zip ties and confirmation some rioters were actively looking for Pence, Pelosi, and others. 670 pages of outrage about liberal protests -- which, admittedly, sometimes result in property destruction. But where is your hundreds-of-pages of outrage about the storming of the capitol in an attempt to overturn a free and fair election and murder congresspeople? You have no outrage about it. Predictable hypocrisy. Property destruction by leftists or anarchists? "Bad!! Antifa! Grrrrr!" Insurrection of our nation's capitol with intent to kill sitting congresspeople? "It's being overblown. The media lies. They were fine people having a peaceful march". Predictable.
  13. These Bills picks are drunk.
  14. Feel free to provide a link to any reputable news source saying that "Antifa" set fires in downtown Portland last night. Fires were indeed set. Like I said, Ngo and Prosobiec would call anyone who looks at them funny "antifa". Please also feel free to include some context around the events: The property destruction that occurred was in response to and in protest of the Portland police killing an unarmed man in the midst of a mental health crisis earlier that day. Lastly, if you're going to quote people like Andy Ngo, it absolutely SHOULD be pointed out as an untrustworthy source every time. Not because the raw video he posts isn't actual raw video of a real thing that occurred, but because his descriptions of what the videos show have been proven to be exaggerations, misinformation, or outright lies, time and time again. They misconstrue or inaccurately describe what actually occurred, again and again and again. Take the fire video you posted. Actual fact: Fires were set and property destroyed in downtown Portland after police killed an unarmed man earlier in the day. Ngo/Prosobiec version: "Antifa sets Apple store on fire!" [notice no context mentioned, no proof that the boogeyman "antifa" had any involvement].
  15. B-Man posting dishonest Tweets by known liars Jack Posobiec and Andy Ngo (two guys who would call a bee "antifa" if it landed on their mac salad) , without any context, elaboration, or verification of accuracy: A tradition unlike any other.
  16. We could have one solitary pick in the whole draft — say, the last pick in the third round — and I’d STILL sit and watch all three days of the draft, with my dorky little draft magazines laid out and a cold beer. INJECT THE NFL DRAFT DIRECTLY INTO MY VEINS.
  17. With the 46th pick in the TSW Mock Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Asante Samuel Jr, CB, Florida State Cornerback was arguably our biggest need coming into the draft. After adding a receiver and stud interior o-lineman with our first two selections, we were thrilled to see that Asante Samuel Jr was still available at this point in the second round. We feel he's a starter right off the bus. @glazeduck and the San Diego Los Angeles SuperChargers are now on the clock ....and @Watkins101: You're in timeout. Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done.
  18. I'm gonna say a thing here that will probably not be very popular: A small, nagging voice in my head won't be silenced until Josh shows that he can continue his high level of play once 60,000+ fans have returned to the stadiums. All available evidence points to Allen more than likely being an elite, franchise level guy. That said, I can't COMPLETELY ignore the fact that he went from average NFL starter to elite stud in a year where there weren't fans in the stands. And then in the one game where there WERE a decent level of loud, rowdy fans, he didn't display the same MVP level of performance that he had all season. I know, I know, there were lots of factors in that KC game, many of which have already been mentioned here. Still... I THINK Josh Allen is going to be great this year. But until he comes out and actually DOES it, in front of hostile fans and whatnot...there will still be that small, nagging doubt in my mind.
  19. For real. So, uh...who's picking for the Eagles this time? 😝
  20. I thought this was maybe the most interesting Tweet by Sharp (the second one, about the last 5 Super Bowl champions). Didn't see it posted here yet:
  21. @H2o If you have a way to bring this conversation back around, George Costanza style, you have to use the line above!
  22. Are you seeing this ***** right now? Goodness gracious.
  23. it’s still going up. Fast. This is better than porn.
  24. Trubisky DOES seem more natural in 9 than 8, now that you mention it. My favorites, aside from Ford changing, which I already mentioned (and I'll get back to him in a minute)... Matt Breida - 22. This is what the universe wants. I don't know what else to say. Jacob Hollister - 80. Yes. I look forward to having Derek Schouman flashbacks. Efe Obada - 93. Just the perfect number for a DE/DT tweener. Worst: Jamil Douglas - 77. That's a tackle number. Jake Fromm - 4. Just cut him now. Jake Kumerow - 15. 87 was great. He ***** up. Numbers that draft picks should get instead of the people wearing them now: 81, 90, 28 (our new CB2), 15 (our new YAC receiver. You can't have a fast, little shifty dude with a number in the 80s. Its outrageous). As for Ford...I was trying to think of who might have had his college number when he was drafted, and I could only come up with LaAdrian Waddle. Could that by why he didn't take #74 in his rookie year? Out of deference to the vet? In any case, if it turns him from zero to hero, I'm all for it. Oh, and Bobby Hart wearing 68 is cool, because that's a stupid number for a tackle, and it solidifies the fact that he's gonna get cut.
