  1. ESPN will cut to commercial as soon as the Bills go on the clock.
  2. What's the biggest need on the Bills roster currently?
  3. With the 62nd pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Keeanu Benton, DT, Wisconsin With an aging DT group and Fletcher Cox on a one-year deal, the Eagles saw the opportunity to add youth, size and strength to the rotation in the form of the stout and experienced Keeanu Benton. We feel we have significantly upgraded both out defense and our offense with our first three picks. Pick 10: CB Devon Witherspoon Pick 30: HB Jahmyr Gibbs Pick 62: DT Keeanu Benton @HappyDays and the Kansas City Chiefs are now on the clock.
  4. IYKYK
  5. Remember those huge contributions Shady made to his team during his two Super Bowl winning years? The big plays he made in the playoffs and the Super Bowls themselves? Nope, me neither. Shady's not wrong that Kelly came up short in four Super Bowls, but considering Shady himself only rode coattails in his Super Bowl years and didn't do much of anything to help his teams win key games those years...he should probably have a little bit of self awareness.
  6. No, but I've seen Jack Black's "Peaches" music video. It's.....something.
  7. You choose liquor like one.
  8. I think there are things that one can say if they're just trying to put on a "good soldier" face for the media or give canned "player/coach speak". I don't think "I love that guy. He is one of my favorite people on the planet" is one of those things. I DO think there was some animosity and hard feelings at times last year. Both Allen and Diggs are ultimate competitors and alphas. When things are going well, it's all smiles and special handshakes. When things AREN'T going well, I expect there to be a little bit of clashing from time to time. I would not label my confidence level at "100%". I WOULD say, however, that I think people read far too much into social media and occasional player tiffs and often tend to make a mountain out of a molehill. When and if a clear an undeniable reason for concern is given, I'll be concerned. Until then, I just don't care about all the "smoke", or about trying to read the Tarot cards on a guy like Stefon Diggs, who is cryptic and moody.
  9. The part where Allen said "he is one of my favorite people on the planet" has me PARTICULARLY concerned.
  10. The guy I'm most surprised to see still on the board at this point is Bryan Bresee. Don't think he'll actually last to the second round come draft day. I almost took him at pick 30 for the Iggles, actually.
  11. I hear ya, and I agree. I'm not making any predictions about how the rest of the team will fair. I will only say that I believe that Josh Allen will have a huge year, and that if the Bills don't win a Lombardi, it will not be because of him. My morale for Josh hasn't wavered much. Now my feeling about the rest of the team (and coaching staff) assembled AROUND him... That's more of a "two hour discussion over a round of beers and skinny-woman tequila drinks" kind of discussion.
  12. With the 30th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama. The Eagles were heavily tempted to take a defensive tackle here, but we like the depth at that position into round three. Meanwhile, after losing Miles Sanders to free agency, we do not want to depend solely on Boston Scott, Kenneth Gainwell, and the oft-injured Rashaad Penny (who is only on a one year, $1.35million deal) to be the engine of our running game. Gibbs' speed, acceleration, and route running abilities make him a weapon in both the run and pass game. With a backfield of Jalen Hurts and Jahmyr Gibbs, opposing defenses will have no choice but to devote serious attention and resources to stopping the run game, which we feel will open things up downfield for AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. @HappyDays and his probable behind the scenes puppet master @Zerovoltz are now on the clock with the Kansas City Chiefs.
  13. Hey all, I'm here. I'm a west coaster, so it's only 7 over here. Just got up. Will make my pick in the next 10 minutes. Thanks.
  14. Based on the way the board fell in this draft, it's gotta be Wright here. Protect the franchise.
  15. After a year in which his elbow injury impacted him more than many knew, and in which he was adjusting to the first offensive coordinator change of his pro career, and which ended with a bunch of NFL fans again questioning Allen's place among the best passers in the league... I predict Josh will have a monster season in 2023, re-assert his place as a top three player in the league, and set career high marks in several categories.
  16. So Josh Allen should be upset about the Bills: - Paying his number 1 receiver top tier money to stick around - Paying his TE1 good money - Naming his preferred choice of Ken Dorsey as the new OC -- probably largely BECAUSE it was his preferred choice - Having his left tackle and center locked up for a couple more seasons - Drafting a speedy running back in round two and then trading for another one mid-season last year - Fielding a top five scoring offense in three straight seasons - Signing future Hall of Famer Von Miller to a mega-bucks deal as a final touch to a Super Bowl worthy roster - Coming off four straight double digit win seasons and playoff performances - Spending right up to the cap every single year
  17. Regarding Beane's comment about being open to trading down and gaining more picks... The one thing fans seem to consistently forget is that it takes two to tango. Every year I see "oh, we should just move down", as if it's that easy. But there has to be another team willing to move up. More than likely, lots of other teams' talent evaluators have come to the same conclusion as Beane: there just aren't that many first round grades this year, relative to other years. As such, there probably isn't going to be a giant pool of teams just champing at the bit to trade up. Sure, all it takes is one, but...it's just not always as easy as some like to think to move where you want and when you want in a draft and receive fair value in return.
  18. There are only 19 question marks in this topic's subject line. That seems totally reasonable to me.
  19. If they picked they guy I want the Bills to take, they're geniuses. If they didn't, puke emoji.
  20. These are the first three GIF search results when I type in "Visually pleasing". Not sure what to say about the third one.
  21. I, too, am curious which defensive coordinators are staying up at night fearing Mack Hollins and Scotty Miller, the Falcons' presumptive #2 and #3 receivers. If the contention is that they have greater needs than WR, then I would agree. If the contention is that this is too high for Johnston to be picked, I'd likely agree with that, too. But to be fair to the Falcons mock drafter, Atlanta certainly COULD use another quality wide receiver.
  22. With the 10th selection in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois While I feel that safety, defensive tackle, edge, and linebacker are all probably bigger "needs" for the Eagles, Witherspoon was simply too good of a talent to pass on at this spot. Howie Roseman also knows the importance of selecting high value positions when you possess a pick in the top 10, so the Eagles go value over need here. While the Eagles just re-signed both Darius Slay and James Bradberry, Slay will be 32 years old this season, so an investment in cost-controlled youth at the position would a wise decision. Also, you can simply never have too many good corners. Former Eagles west coast scout Daniel Jeremiah had this to say about the Eagles and Witherspoon https://www.si.com/nfl/eagles/news/why-devon-witherspoon-could-be-a-fit-for-the-eagles-at-no-10 : “I just think Witherspoon is a stud..I think having been in that building and having seen Asante Samuel there, I think you could make an easy comparison there with just the play-making ability, taking the ball away...I think if you’re where the Eagles are right now, you’re thought process going into a draft, it’s not the division anymore, it’s not even the conference. It’s what do we have to do to win a Super Bowl? What do we have to do to get off the field when we’re going to have to go up against Patrick Mahomes or whoever else is coming out of the AFC? Be it Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, those are the guys you’re going to have to go through to win a championship...In that game [the Super Bowl LVII loss to the Chiefs], they couldn’t get off the field and I think they’ve got some really good pieces up front and I think finding somebody on the back end who could take the ball away, that could help their cause as well." @NeverOutNick and the Tennessee Titans are now on the clock.
  23. Eagles, Bears, Lions. Thanks, Virgil!
  24. I miss Jerry Hughes.
