  1. Right. This idea that McD wants 9-7 football games is nonsense. The Bills absolutely want to score points. They don’t have great ability to do so at this point. They probably believe that if they score at least 24 points, they will win at least ten games. They’re not there from a talent standpoint on offense, and some legitimate questions about the offensive coordinator have emerged. I’m sure McDs goal is to score points on offense, give up few on defense and put his D in advantageous situations by doing so. The numbers show they have a ways to go to get there.
  2. Lol, teams don’t “ usually” go from crap to great in a season. If you believe that happens, you probably weren’t paying attention to what the team was doing for a couple years before that. There aren’t even many “ great” NFL teams. That’s what free agency did. Your hyperbole is massive. I’ll agree that the Pegulas are really the one’s whose opinion matters here, and if the Bills collapse with their easy remaining schedule then major changes would likely be considered.
  3. Those wouldn’t be enough to qualify as “ most NFL games”, hence the distinction.
  4. Shaky is a bit too strong ;they were average NFL wins. Most NFL games are not blowouts. They were thoroughly outclassed by a significantly more talented team, and held their own against another with a chance to win outright. The Eagles game was more of a reality check for some overly optimistic fans, rather than an indication that the team needs to start over. Lol. The last two are probably about the right percentage , maybe should even be a bit lower ( I’m no actuary ). The first should probably be significantly higher, maybe about 15-20% or more ?
  5. This is bs^ The Pats * and TB try to bury you. Every drive, every game. They were trying their damndest that day like any other.
  6. The 49ers have done a better job than the Bills at drafting / acquiring players and coaches. The Bills didn’t have a shot at Garappolo due to being in the AFCE, but top to bottom the Niners have been a more impressive organization.
  7. At around the halfway point if this 2019 season, it’s pretty safe to say a reasonable snapshot of the team has emerged. The defense is at least top half of the league in today’s NFL. It could use an additional piece or two to bring it up to a higher level. The offense as currently constructed is sub par. The OL still has issues , particularly at OT and WR, TE. The RBs are passable, but the team has few matchup winners in the lineup. The struggles of the QB are well documented, but a personnel change there isn’t on the table at the moment. That isn’t an overreaction to one game, but rather a look at what the data tells us so far. A trade could help, and doesn’t mean mortgaging the future.
  8. If this happens, any playoff talk can be shelved until around week 15.
  9. Agree. This is not about making a move just to make one. It’s about trying for a playoff run this year while also improving the team going forward. FA may not be enough, the draft might not give immediate help at WR and next year’s schedule isn’t as easy. In short , this year matters.
  10. Maybe this is the wrong thread, but just saw ESPN graphic about the Steelers , their playoff chances and remaining games. Their December game vs Bills was their highest percentage chance to win of all remaining games at 65%. Computer generated of course, but that’s disturbing.
  11. Bledsoe a disappointment? I’d say no. He made the Patriots ( who were a complete joke of a franchise at the time: a fact many of their current followers don’t know ) relevant and even went to a Super Bowl. The NFL game changed a lot around him, and his lack of mobility ended his effectiveness as a QB. While not a HOF player ( imo) he was more than good enough to turn a team that had become a punchline around into a winner.
  12. And Fitztragic has appeared ...
  13. No Bills game will be a ...okay maybe there will be a laugher in there. Those have happened even when the Bills have a bad season. Anyway, I wouldn’t expect any Bills game to be a cakewalk this season. It’s fine to expect the things you described, it’s just that the Bills may disappoint you. As a fan, you can expect whatever you want to.
  14. Yeah Rex has done this, but he’s hardly the first. Its a time - honored NFL HC tradition to sacrifice a coordinator when the heat is on.
  15. I’d say the bust label would be premature before the end of year 3. Regardless, yes it’s quite possible that many parts of the offense aren’t good enough as currently constructed. I don’t believe it has to be one or the other.
  16. Perhaps it was wishful thinking by a hopeful fan base ? A few good additions, but not a great group of offensive skill players by any means. Just my opinion though. Maybe the Bills really have one of the elite collections of offensive talent in the NFL, but the QB sucks.
  17. They’re winning games vs many teams on their schedule while in the midst of a rebuild. The Bills offense is not nearly a finished product yet. The defense needs one or two players. If they were losing to “ cupcakes”, that would definitely make them a bad team. There are a lot of bad teams in the NFL, some above average teams ( Bills fall in that range) and a few very good teams. The Bills aren’t there yet, but it beats losing most of the games.
  18. Wow how dumb by the Fish.
  19. Yeah, I think he’s Gary Player
  20. If the QB fumbling is a known issue, why all the designed runs ? Having him run a QB sweep backed up in their own end sounds foolish, no? They do have RBs on the team, but that seems lost on Daboll.
  21. Block in back by PIT
  22. Miami looking a lot like their last game....
  23. Saw Nick O’Leary out there....I think he’s Fuzzy Zoeller’s step grandson or something...
  24. A day in the life of the inexperienced NFL QB....
  25. It looks to be , but still a roll of the dice. The Bills pick might not be all that high ( we hope) and drafted WRs don’t always provide immediate help.
