  1. Again, this virus doesn’t kill everyone that gets it. Not even close. The economy may not recover anytime soon as it is. Locking down since January would have been a complete catastrophe. Any speculation on what could have been done is simply speculation. We are a free country and what you are describing is unrealistic in America.
  2. There won’t be an economy for the healthy, that will be the disaster.
  3. Everyone won’t die from this virus. Not even close. Many will have mild to no symptoms. That’s not the issue. It’s lack of resources to care for those who need it because it’s so contagious. This virus on its own isn’t a death sentence.
  4. Nonsense ! Ruffle the economy’s feathers? More like put it on life support with a failing ventilator. It still may end up too far gone. Shutting it down then would only worsen the damage.
  5. Weren’t enough tests to do this; heck there still aren’t enough now. So easy to say this or that should have been done. Nowhere in the world has a medical system designed to handle this. It simply doesn’t exist.
  6. Sure it helped. If any ball was dropped , it was dropped at the State level.
  7. He said we should prepare for it. He did NOT say those projections were inevitable.
  8. Trump restricted travel from China just 4 days after Italy completely banned it on Jan 31. What is this 6 weeks you’re referring to? Btw, the ban doesn’t seem to have been effective for Italy either. Your Monday QBing is pure speculation and without significant merit.
  9. One of the dumbest, most selfish things I’ve ever heard of. What a complete toolbox.
  10. This is fantasy. Nothing to support this. Just what do you think could be done?
  11. The gains under Trump were great, but they’ve been wiped out by a virus . There is nothing the POTUS or any other human ( save for someone in the Wuhan that craved a batburger for lunch ) could have done to stop it.
  12. Agree. And also on the retort to desolate. The middle of America is less populated for sure, but full of resplendent beauty and the absence of throngs can provide a wonderful solace. Nothing dismal about it. Desolate is way off base for sure.
  13. Nope, not a lock. The roster says the Bills should be a playoff team, but as fans we know that doesn’t mean much. I don’t think this change to the format will be a hindrance to the Bills chances , but there are still things that can go wrong.
  14. Maybe I’ve just got a bad case of cabin fever, but doesn’t it seem like they’ve ( State, Fed, County) been saying “ the next two to three weeks are critical “ for about two full weeks now ?
  15. Zero deaths was never a possibility with the Chinese virus. Even a moron would know that.
  16. It’s certainly substantial. It appears his team believes his personality is a strong part of his appeal with the base. They may believe the stark contrast in policy between candidates will win the day on the undecided. We will see...
  17. So true. A scared electorate that cannot go back to work just might be inclined to vote for more socialism. That’s the hope of the left and the LSM
  18. Agreed. Maybe closer to 10-15%. In the past , I could see that.Candidates weren’t so far apart. Just such a huge difference in vision for America right now, though. One side is anti American , anti capitalism, and anti Caucasian. Can’t recall anything quite like the stark differences in the parties now. Old metrics may not apply.
  19. 40% ? That seems a bit high. Most will decide on major policy stances, not on a whim.
  20. Maybe, but his strategy seems to be otherwise. The base will love it, the haters will hate ( weren’t getting them anyway) and the middle will decide based on the enormous difference in policy ideas. It’s not like the two parties vision for the country is even remotely similar. In more normal times, playing to the middle might be a better strategy.
  21. It’s part of his persona and just makes his base supporters more fervent. I love it, personally. The lamestream media types are turds, and he talks to them on their level; that of petulant children. He’s the parent putting the whiny child in their place. They can’t stand that Trump is president, and their miserable lives revolve around this fact. This is a war between loony libs and the rest of the country.
  22. Great retort to Acosta.... I freakin’ love how Trump is dealing with these low- lifes.
  23. For cripes sake, he’s not in quarantine ! Self - isolating perhaps, but I don’t think there’s been any news saying that Allen has Coronavirus symptoms.
  24. Veiled attempt to get a revote for a CBA he doesn’t like. Maybe he was one of the many who did not vote in the first place ? Anyway, I’m highly skeptical of anything originating with Reid. Don’t trust that guy at all.
