what the ***** is going on here?

it's funny you say that. years ago when i bought my first house, i purchased a 50 inch plasma which was a big deal at the time. kinda bulky, but great tv. This was probably in 2005/2006-ish. that tv is now in our basement in our kids area, and the picture is still fantastic. not a single problem to this day. lol! i didn't read this far before responding, but is was a 2006 panasonic plasma. still as good as the 4k tv i have in my office. my dad ended up buying one about 6 months later because he like mine so much.

tv are one of the technologies that i will not run out and buy when the newest thing comes out. after 6 months the price always drops significantly, and something slightly better comes out.

How do you feel as a parent about your child playing football?
teef replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
the keeping kids back thing for sports reasons has become huge around here. i hear it regularly, and i'm in agreement....i would never do that. if my kids were a bit behind socially or academically, sure. for sports...come on. these early stages for sports should really about team/character building, learning the sport, and fun. -

yup. my understanding is that it's the very regular small hits to the head that linemen take on every play that greatly add to CTE...not just one big jarring hit. -
i don't have recipes, but buffalo style cauliflower is amazing. this summer i had buffalo chicken fusilli at a place in the thousand islands, and it was amazing. a bit too rich, but very good.

so? every year a team is picked to win the sb. sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. it takes a lot to win the big game, and as far as i know, the playoffs haven't even started yet. did the giants have a chance the year they beat the undefeated pats? nope, and yet here we are. the playoffs are an entirely different season. you just have to let it play out, but to call this season a "nightmare" is just as unreasonable as knowing the outcome of a game after 2.5 series.
-
because a lot happens in a game. what if the bills held the cincy to 3, and the bills score on the next drive. even if cincy scored, what if buffalo went on the next drive to score a td? it's a 4 point game early on. see how that works?
-
yeah...it's hard to have won 12 games so far and call this season a "nightmare", (at least until monday). the season has been imperfect, but some are acting like this team didn't make the playoffs.
-
they didn't even complete 3 series. how anyone can say this reasonably is shocking to me.

but how often does it work out that way? the dads i'm aware of aren't from any specific pedigree of athlete. i think they're more likely to groom resentment than athletes. making a 6 year old watch their weight? no way. -

i have some staff that have gotten their kids into wrestling, and holy smokes some of those dads seem far too intense. i've heard stories of guys making their kids run laps, practice after practice, and have mats in their homes for extended practice. mind you we're talking about 5-6 year olds. multiple stories of monitoring what these kids eat to keep weight down, etc. i have no idea what's in it for the dads. i've never met a grate high school athlete and thought, "wow, that dad is impressive".
