agreed. i think next years team is going to be build through the draft and middle of the road free agents. i could be wrong, but i don't see these guys dumping a ton of money into fa.
this is my take on it as well. i think they just decided to roll with the season with what they had, and if the wins come, great. i think the early success threw us all off a bit, but at this point i want this staff to stick to their plan, (whatever it actually is) and build what they envision.
while i understand the idea, the bills may not have to trade up to get a qb they want.
as of this point, i definitely like where the team is headed. they just don't have the personnel yet.
this is it. i'm not going to worry about the draft at this point. if the right management is actually in place, they'll make the picks work.
i think this is what people need to realize. this year certainly isn't the finished product...if anything, it's a stripped down version of it. will it be tough to be competitive and still miss the playoffs if that's the outcome, but this is going to take another year or two to put pieces in place and establish depth.
i hear ya, and it's all fair. i was just thinking it was a more impressive win than some are making it out to be because it was away, and the bills certainly weren't at full strength either. either way, as you mentioned, it's hard not to be happy with the win.
people keep mentioning the bolded, but come on...even with the "star talent" out, i think the falcons are still a better team on paper than the bills. not to mention that the bills started the game without their starting lt and de, while losing the wlb and wr1 during the game.
Believe it or not, there's quite a bit of that in wny. My wife and I have had season tickets to the theater here in rochester, love to go out to nice restaurants, etc. It's certainly not like NYC, Boston, or LA, but it's absolutely in this area.
i think this sums up wny in general. i've never thought it was a great area for young people, but once you start a family or grow out of the hardcore partying days, it's a nice place to settle. on that note, it's also not hard to find a place to party. i've never understood the, there's nothing to do here. it's not nyc or miami, but i was never bored when i lived in buffalo.
