  1. i know it's a strange thing to complain about, but it's such a zoo that it takes away from it for me. that being said, i wouldn't farm it out at this point. we having about 34 this year, so it's tempered back. forever house...i just wanted to say that again because it irks some people.
  2. at work i can't do anything about it. just put on the happy face and act as pleasant as possible. when i get home i'll just have a drink and hang out with the family. as i've gotten older, i've become pretty good as just leaving the nonsense at work. every year it's a little easier to do.
  3. what in the world is a forever door? yes. i'm 40, and this house is !@#$ing it. also yes.
  4. i don't like tolbert either, but most of us weren't absurd enough to cry again and again and again about a back up rb leaving. you did.
  5. his play was coming on? i don't feel that was the case at all. he's always going to take up space, but beside that, he was doing nothing impressive. my point is you don't have a reason for making some of the claims you make. if the bills held onto dareus until the end of the season, most teams knew he was going to be cut, and would have traded nothing. the bills were able to save some money, and grab a pick. it would have been nice to have dareus, but i think most realize that he isn't the piece that's putting this team into the playoffs. does he help? sure. is he worth it? eh.
  6. don't tell scott that. in the beginning of the season he just wouldn't shut up about losing gillislee. in fact, he was stating the bills were in full rebuild mode because they didn't re-sign him.
  7. you just don't want to understand that there's logic behind that trade. it may not work out for jacksonville is dareus goes back to old form and gets paid for putting in a third of the work. earlier you mentioned that the bills should have kept dareus until the end of the year, where his value would have been higher. why do you think his value would have been higher then?
  8. common sense is scott's kryptonite.
  9. i'd have a tough time believing that anyone promised the pegulas the team would be competitive this season. i think we all knew, especially after the trades, that it wasn't so much about this season, (or even next). i assume the pegulas and staff see this as a long term project, and any success this year was more or less lucky.
  10. and we're all sure you do scott.
  11. i'm going to be very upset is this team doesn't draft a qb somewhat high this coming draft.
  12. did they? other than dareus, who are you really sad to see go?
  13. i hate everything about this thread.
  14. if that's the guess than it must be an attitude problem. he never struck me as a guy who verbally gives problems, but maybe he was so lazy it just rubbed that staff the wrong way. it's too bad. he could have been a force.
  15. i think this is the problem with the majority of the guys the bills let go. they help on sundays, but they never put the bills over the top, (along with many other factors). at the end of the day, would guy like watkins or gilmore put this team over the top? i just don't think so unfortunately. i think dareus is in that mix. his presence is certainly missed, but i also don't think it's the sole reason for a defensive collapse.
  16. so...the bills are going to take a cap hit no matter what? there's no financial benefit to trading vs cutting dareus? (i'm asking because i honestly have no idea). if there's no savings to be had, i would have kept him until the end of the year too. that being said, how does keeping him increase he trade value as scott mentioned? i loved the player dareus, and it's even the last jersey i bought, but unfortunately he ran his course here. i think he can still be great, but he was a wild disappointment how it worked out after he was given a contract.
  17. it was never about this season. we all knew that, and i'm sure not for a single second did you expect any early success. i have no idea why you think dareus's stock would be higher in the offseason. it was well know that the bills were trying to move him, or specifically his salary. if they couldn't trade him, he would likely have been cut, where any team could have signed him. it's not like he was doing much this year to wow another team, so why do you think that would be the case?
  18. and, and...they all have animals as their mascots.
  19. so threads can get to 25 pages plus.
  20. good for you. it's an absurdly expensive party, so !@#$ it. have fun.
  21. a super stiff drink. not a fancy drink, but a ghetto hardcore drink after a bad day. like...when you come home and mix 2/3 low shelf vodka with 1/3 diet orange crush in a pint glass, drink it and think, "yeah. that's the lowbrow kind of **** i'm looking for". my mom is retired tier one, and she loves to tell anyone that's willing to listen.
  22. oh snap!
  23. scott, it's not about the 6th...it's about dropping a huge salary that someone wasn't earning, or even seeming to care about it. the guy is on a cusp of a long suspension. i loved dareus as a player, but he was definitely not living up to his ability.
  24. oh yeah. it's everyone else's fault that thread went like this. you're not very good at things...are you?
