the moaning on here today is outstanding.
-
i get it. the nature of the losses was pretty bad, but whether you lose by a point in a heart breaker or get blown out, fans are still upset, and the loss counts the same. hopefully it's all about the future, because i literally have nothing else to cling onto. understood, and you have every right to feel that way.

. Going to take some serious personnel magic this offseason just to get this team back near the lukewarm center of the league talent-wise. Then........do you have the coaches in place to get synergy the way guys like Pederson and McVay have? Judging on the square peg/round hole job they've done with Tyrod ya' gotta' question that. i don't think they would have been that much better with watkins or dareus at all. they've both been on this team for years, and since then it's been that standard 7 ish win type season. guess what, without those guys, it looks like another 7 ish win season again. you keep mentioning that this is the situation the the staff has put themselves in, and you're correct, but it's for this year. this isn't a final product, and to evaluate them based on this year isn't right. i don't know if any of this will work, but this is going to take time. they have to pick a qb, and follow through with their vision, (whatever that is).
-
oh i agree. this team is in awful shape, which is why this is going to take time. as far as the losses this year, dareus is the only one that i think has a significant impact. watkins, darby, etc were nice, but i understand the trades. i think, (i should say i hope) that this team is going to look drastically different over the next two years. at this point, all we can do is wait.
-
you know that the bills got a 2nd for watkins as well? i'm assuming you didn't know since you left it out.
-
what did you think the outcome was going to be at the beginning of this year? not that we don't deserve much more as fans, but we all knew this year, and likely next are going to be stinkers. i personally can't start to evaluate what this staff until free agency and this draft. i think we'll have a much better idea then, but after the early year trades, i think most knew to keep their expectations low.

meh. lots of bitching today. i get it, but this is the way most predicted this season to go anyway. it's about the future, not that there's any guarantee that things will get better.

Happy 58th Guy to Birthday Nervous

happy birfday! -
i missed the game last week because i absolutely had to get some work done, and i missed this week because i took my daughter to disney live. at first i was so annoyed that i missed 2 games in a row for this first time ever, and now i think it was a blessing. i didn't even watch the recorded saints game, and i almost made it through a half of yesterday's game. it's just too hard to watch this level of football again. i think i'm completely checked out.

Ringing endorsements from national media
teef replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he has the potential to be elite, but isn't a elite wr at all. there's a huge difference there. he never put up elite #'s here during the course of a season. we all wanted it too, but it didn't. i'm fine with watkins not putting up big numbers in la, but again, you try to discount goff by saying he's, "not so accurate" in order to defend watkins. i'm not saying watkins can put up numbers, but apparently he needs to be in the perfect situation, of which buffalo wasn't. you expected a big year and expected the bills would have had to pay him. that's fine. history and situation shows that likely wouldn't have happened, (even though you convinced yourself it would). so what if watkins put up below 1000 yards (again) and wanted to get paid? he's gone and would likely want to go to a team with a stable qb. the bills would have gotten nothing for him. finally, do you really think that if watkins just stays healthy, he's going to get #1 money? i'm not even sure he's going to be retained by la next year, healthy or not. -
would you guys think more of me if i started referring to myself as lil teef?

the team never said they were tanking, but it was obvious that they wanted to get something for guys that weren't going to be here next year. there wasn't much to expect from this roster, but so what? what has this roster done for us lately. shake it up, and bring in their own guys to see if it works. if anything you should be pleased that they actually accomplished some success with what they have. i still have zero idea why you expected a big year from watkins, especially with tt as the qb. watkins has never had a "big year" and i doubt he would have here this year as well. you seem to think if sammy was on this team, things would have been different. i just don't see it. -

1972...just because someone doesn't agree with your opinion, it doesn't mean they have blind loyalty to a staff. we share different views on watkins, but i don't dislike him as a wr. i just thought he'd put up pedestrian numbers yet again here, and would likely be gone in the off season. at least they got a second round pick. with taylor, i always appreciated him, but we all knew that unless he wow'ed everyone this year, he's also gone. i'm meh to putting peterson in, but if they know tyrod won't be the guy next year, move on from him...and no...tyrod's lousy play isn't just because watkins isn't here. we've seen it before, and we'll see it again. try to not be so emotional about it. -

What (do you think) Peterman's stats are this week?
teef replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i don't expect much either. it's almost unfair to him to do so. we know that tt isn't the future at this point, so they might as well develop peterman, see what they have in him, and still draft a qb next year. the qb position needs love here. -

i wasn't able to watch the game last week, and since this is a later game, i just realized that i won't be able to watch the game, (live at least) this sunday. i actually get very interested to watch, and disney live !@#$s it all up. -
When overwhelmed at work how do you cope?
teef replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
this is the truth. my wife does orange theory too and loves it. the one by us is so popular, they're opening another. it's this time you year that working out becomes critical. it hasn't gotten bad yet, but by that february/march time, there's been so much dark and cold that the seasonal depression sets in. if i don't work out, i get whacky. -
i learned something today! i'm at work, so i haven't heard the audio, but i love me a good m!@#$ accent.
