  1. i don't know what being a chiefs fan has to do with anything. after the end of this year, i'm willing to bet that most fans will wonder why he's earning what he's earning. he isn't the reason for their success...at all. i know you laid you what you would have done, and i get it, but i think people are kidding themselves if they don't think sammy wanted to test fa at that point in his career. signing him isn't the slam dunk people are making it out to be. it's a possibility for sure, but i think unlikely. besides...if sammy was making a huge salary form the bills, and producing like he is now, can you imagine the fan outrage. the same posters criticizing the bills for not paying watkins would be the ones screaming from the mountain tops about how the bills are overspending on the wrong players. his salary doesn't match is production. i have no idea why you keep bringing up wrs that are far better than sammy. you know why guys like obj are still on their teams at large paydays? they're productive and worth it. sammy hasn't shown to be. sammy wasn't let go because of his attitude. if he showed that he was really a top wr, that doesn't matter. sammy isn't productive enough.
  2. i think i have a big leaf day ahead of me on sunday. but, for consistency...cakewalk *****!
  3. that's not true. you completely blow off the second pick like it was nothing. the pick was the reason for the trade, not the player like you're making it out to be. the bills got a second and a player for a guy that would have walked for a high salary in FA. you and scott just keep saying sign him, like it's a lock. why wouldn't have sammy wanted to test fa? this team doesn't have an established qb, and i think we all know that another team was going to pay sammy a high salary alone based on potential. the rams traded for him and didn't want him, so kc is paying him. over paying him to be what...the third wr? again, i think sammy is a good wr. besides that, he's not great, and he's currently being over paid. i realize this team is going to have to over pay for some players. that's fine, but not for sammy. he just isn't worth it. all you've shown me is possibilities for sammy, no real results. 16 mill a year...3rd wr. it's sad.
  4. yes it was. i remember a post where thuman1 broke to down for you how bad it actually was, and you completely ignored it. you just claim it wasn't bad...how so? you keep mentioning the bills, but what about the rams. why would that team trade a second for him, only to let him go and use a first for another wr that they gave a similar salary too? they obviously didn't think enough of sammy either. why is that?
  5. i really wasn't trying to twist your words, but i don't think it's appropriate to include sammy in a conversation with those wrs in any circumstance. i know you were referring to targets, but those guys get the targets because they've proven to be productive and dependable. watkins hasn't shown to be that player yet. i like sammy as a wr, but i'm not going to repeatedly make excuses for him like you have.
  6. because they're all better than sammy? remember when you said sammy's lack of production was because the coach was telling his qb not to throw in his direction? i do. i do.
  7. i'm honestly just looking for a moral victory at this point. lol! he really was. i don't get too attached to any college player, but for some reason i have fond memories of him. jared dudley and craig smith.
  8. i'm a bc guy, and i think the outlook is pretty bleak again this year. if they had been able to keep the team together, they likely would have been a preseason top 25. one kid went to the pros, and another transferred, (i think) so back to square one. right now i can't look beyond the beat down the football team is going to get from clemson this weekend.
  9. joe...you have to let your fiance know you're a dick before you get married. otherwise they get all bent out of shape when you suddenly "turn" into a dick well into the marriage. my wife knew she was marrying a d-bag, and now she's stuck with me. be a dick joe. be a dick.
  10. i'll record it and likely not watch it if that's the case.
  11. some one give this dream maker a medal.
  12. ok. pick up his option, and then what next year? you just think the bills should have paid him whatever? that seems to be the only point you have to make. pay him anything he wants for average production! right?! and i know your response to this...what about the bills wrs now? i get that the bills screwed that position up, but that still, in no way means they should have paid sammy whatever they wanted. he's not worth 16 mill a year...at all.
  13. so...is there a real possibility that allen plays?
  14. what? so you would have pain anything sammy wanted? if another team matched the bills offer, would sammy have stayed or moved on? i know you'll say the bills could have taken the 5th year option, but what after that? you really don't have an argument. his production isn't worth what he's paid. so andy reid over paid for sammy...so what? again, explain to me why the rams traded for him for a second, only to let him go, and use a first to replace him? oh let me guess...reid wanted him so it doesn't need explaining. if you can come up with an answer...great. otherwise this is just scott talk.
  15. what? what are you arguing here? just because he paid 16 mill a year doesn't mean he's elite. he's not. i'm still trying to figure out why the rams parted ways with him...and i don't think it's over 2 mill more a year.
  16. there's something very off here. just be ready for this girl to ruin something for you. it probably won't/hopefully be the wedding, but it's going to happen. my dad had a sister like this. she was just off, and any time someone had a positive going on in their life, she would make a scene and divert the attention back to herself. on the evening of my dad's prom, she ran away. his parents made him go look for her and miss most of the evening. she came hold from college, and made such a big stink about the new dog my dad had, that her parents put the dog in the pound. she even "attempted" suicide in my dad's room when he was studying for finals. he just shoved her outside and closed the door. he had to make the decision that his own sistser wasn't invited to his wedding because she would make a scene, and ruin it for my mom. i'm not saying this friend has this level of a problem, but some people need to create drama and make it about themselves. this is perfect.
  17. our new christmas tree was delivered to the house this morning.
  18. also, don't you think it's wildly strange that this girl's mother told her she couldn't go to the bachelorette party as a joke? and that the girl didn't figure it out immediately? my family loves to bust balls, but this just isn't a funny joke. she probably decided to not go, and once she found out she wouldn't be in the wedding, changed he mind. i assume she's just throwing her mother under the bus. i stand by my first thought. i'd be a dick.
  19. dude, tell this girl to ***** off. she's obviously an issue, and who really needs that. just be a dick. i've found it's so much easier to do that as you get older. too many times in my youth have i bit my tongue to keep the peace. now i just don't care. worst case scenario, you be mean to her, your fiance is ticked for a bit, but later happy because this girl is out of your life. i'd enjoy being mean to her.
  20. this is what far too many decide to go back to when the sammy argument comes up. the bills completely mishandled the wr position after sammy left, but that still doesn't mean getting a pick for a guy that was going to leave for 16 mill a year was a bad idea. how they followed up was bad. sammy is a guy that will help your team, but he isn't the game changer too many are trying to make him out to be.
  21. i'm not even being critical of sammy here, but i don't think some people realize the points they're making when quoting sammy's stats.
  22. that's nice. i'm just not sure why they gave him away after investing a second in him, only to give up a first to then replace him. i think i'd rather keep the first and give up the extra 2 mill a year.
  23. they really did seem to mishandle that, (although it didn't hurt them). why give up a second, and later a first to replace a wr? especially over 2 mill.
