So you're saying Carucci is lying?
-
Nope. Vic Carucci said that they didn't even pursue Mike McCoy this time around. i trust Carucci. He has real, proven sources with the team. You made an an educated guess about Mike McCoy to make it look like you have sources, and you're educated guess was wrong.

Over the years I've kind of learned not to get my hopes too high for any specific coach because many times it just leads to disappointment. But it's hard not to get excited about certain coaches you've read/heads about... So, I'd have to say that I'm probably hoping for Chudzinski at this point. He's had had some very good offense's over the years and seems to have done a good job at getting the most out of his QBs (for the most part). He is also very well respected around the league. Guys supposedly love playing for him. And I just feel like he would be a good fit with McDermott. Their coaches styles seem like a potential perfect match. They are both big on attention to detail and teaching. Both are meticulous planners. Both are always trying to learn and evolve as a coach. Both are big students of the game. This is what Chud said when asked to describe his coaching style - Sounds pretty similar to our head coach, no? They are also good friends and have a lot of respect for each other. Chud once said McDermott was "one of the best coaches I've ever been around" and McD has said similar things about Chudzinski. I could just see them working very well together. Ultimately though, I just want the Bills to be able to hire whoever their top choice/1st pick is...

Mike McCoy won't be the OC per Carucci
BillsFan4 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, I have too. I even went back and dug up his posts on all the stuff he claimed he predicted (he told me to "check the record", so I did...lol) and posted them in a response to him, thinking maybe it would get him to stop the nonsense and like you said, he just totally ignored them and went on claiming the same crap. -

BillsFan4 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone who watched McDermott's year end press conference could predict Dennison was gone, and many of us did (including me). He made it pretty clear that Dennison wouldn't be coming back. What i I think is funnier is that DD wants credit for predicting the Kyle Williams play because he said, specifically, that there would be a Joe Webb trick play, and clearly they are the same thing... oh, and that he wants credit for predicting the Dareus and Benjamin trades, as well as Peterman starting even though all 3 of those things happened before he ever even created his account at Two Bills Drive. lol -
The Doug Marrone Coaching Tree: Hop on board!
BillsFan4 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Geez Fergy... this must be your least subtle attempt at a sarcasm/joke/troll thread yet (that I've seen anyway). I think you're getting a little lazy dude. Yet there are still people that are somehow taking this thread seriously. So, props man.... credit where credit is due! lol Ill admit, I've fell for one or two of your threads in the past. But at least it was much more subtle than this one is, and I was much newer at the time. lol -
[Misleading Title]Will Mike McCoy be our next oc?
BillsFan4 replied to Chadwick Bay Chad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, no there is not. -
Yes I think you are most likely correct. Him and McDermott seem very close. They were together in Philly a long time. They were both brought in to the Eagles at the same time (1999) and worked together until McD left in 2010/11. I'm sure you watched this locker room playoff celebration video. Culley is the first guy to congratulate (and hug) McDermott - (about 19 seconds in). I actually hope that they do keep him on staff. He seems to be well respected around the NFL and I've heard he brings a great energy to the team. I'd just prefer they bring in someone who really has experience developing a young QB (assuming they draft one...). I would love an offensive innovator who design an offense tailored to this team (guys who force their system aggravate me...) as well as help the Bills identify their QB of the future and then develop him. This will be a very important hire. Fingers crossed!
-
Lol It's that Phil Mcgeoghan dude. Zay Jones WR coach at east Carolina.
-
Yeah I'd move Culley to wide receivers coach, the job he held in Kansas City. Hes been a receivers coach since 1991. Id be perfectly happy with him in that role.

Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22
BillsFan4 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
What did Housley say? I missed it. -
Raymondo's pizzeria on East Delavan in Buffalo/Cheektowaga is very good. You have to ask specifically for the "sweet sauce" on your pizza though. Their regular pizza is good, but their pizza with sweet sauce is amazing. The sauce is unreal. They have probably the best honey mustard wings I've had, too. All of their wings are good. Love their BBQ, used to love the hot but my stomach doesn't allow that anymore... Carbone's has great honey mustard wings as well. Good pizza too. Chick n' pizza works also has some good pizza from what I remember. Haven't had them in a while but the last time I did the pizza was delicious.

I don't know man. 2017 went completely away from what Whaley normally did in the draft. He almost always had the players he drafted (esp. high) in for pre draft visits. None of the players we drafted this year were in for a visit (except Peterman IIRC). In fact, The Bills have had their 1st round draft pick in for a visit from the time he first got here - every year from 2010 to 2016. The only year he didn't... 2017. Drafts as assistant GM (pre draft visits)- -CJ Spiller -Marcell Dareus -Stephon Gilmore -Tank Carder -EJ Manuel -Jonathan Meeks (this 2013 draft was probably him running the show but I'll list it under asst. GM because we don't know if he ran the show or not). Drafts as GM (pre draft visits)- -Sammy Watkins -Cyrus Kouandjio -Preston Brown -Ross Cockrell (thats the top 4 picks from the 2014 draft, all brought in for a pre draft visit) -John Miller -Karlos Williams -Cardale Jones -Kolby Listenbee -Shaw Lawson -Reggie Ragland -Adolphus Washington (I'm not sure if this is a complete list. It's just what I found with a quick search) You know now who did have many of our draft picks in for a visit? Carolina Panthers. -Tre White -Zay Jones -Dion Dawkins -Tanner Vallejo Also, he never drafted players from small schools (like Zay Jones or even Dawkins (Temple)), especially in the first few rounds. Whaley stuck to certain colleges and especially certain conferences. In his time as GM from 2014 to 2015, 9 of his 13 draft picks came form the ACC. Shaq Lawson (in 2016) made that 10. If you go back to 2013, only 3 of his 28 draft picks came form outside the power 5 conference - Duke Williams (4th), Randell Johnson (7th round), Dezmin Lewis (7th). Never a top 3 round pick from outside the power 5, again, until 2017 (Jones, Dawkins). This was comp, etely dfferent than any draft from the time Shakey was hired by Buffalo. I am sure McDermott used some information form him but when looking at everything it's hard to believe that Whaley played much of a role in this draft. Nobody knows for sure, but that's the impression I get when I add up all the pieces.

If the Bills part ways with Rick Dennison
BillsFan4 replied to TigerJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lesean McCoy said after the game that Dennison called a run pass option at the goal line. So it was up to Tyrod whether to run or pass. I mean, Dennison could have called a straight run play. But, IMO, it's a smart call to give your QB the ability to read the defense and choose a run or pass depending on the defensive coverage pre/post snap (especially in a goal line situation where the field is so short). -
Bears kick off HC hiring with Chiefs OC Matt Nagy
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I think its just too soon IMO. I mean, he was still an offensive quality control coach in 2011/2012, which is pretty much an entry level position (and doesn't really require doing any actual coaching). Then he was a quarterbacks coach from 2013-2015, and finally a co-offensive coordinator in 2016, and he never even called any plays until this season. I think he has called plays for maybe 8-10 games at most in his career so far. And now he's a head coach... Just seems like too much too soon to me. But Andy Reid had high praise for him so we will see I guess. I think he definitely has the potential to be a good head coach. I just wonder if he's had enough experience to be running a team so soon into his coaching career (especially with so little experience in coaching). I've been wrong before, though. -
Seahawks fire OC Darrell Bevell & OL coach Tom Cable
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I remember that. I think there's also allegations of abuse toward women, too. He was never charged in either case so who knows. But that's besides the point. Like you said, his units have sucked for years which is the reason I have no interest in him. -
Seahawks fire OC Darrell Bevell & OL coach Tom Cable
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would love Bevell as OC. I know Tom Cable is a well known name and has been in head coaching rumors, but he's had an awful o line for years now (to be fair he hasn't had much talent, but still...). Not sure i'd have any interest in him as out o Lin coach. -
Comsidering that Mahomes was drafted on April 27th, 2017 and Brandon Beane wasn't hired by the Bills until May 9th, 2017, I'd say no. It wasn't his first mistake because he wasn't even our GM yet.
-
Bummer. Figured Gaine was gone as soon as Green Bay hired Brian Guntekunst. He was supposedly the guy the Texans wanted, with Gaine being choice #2. Really sucks Gaine didn't even have one draft here. But I'd assume that he's done a lot of work on this draft class, so at least we have all the player evaluations he's done so far. The Texans could really screw us in this draft, though. They draft in front of us in every round.

Possible Darkhorse FA QB's
BillsFan4 replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel just the opposite. If Dennison stays, then they should move on from Tyrod. He just doesn't fit his offense. There seemed to be receivers running open quite often that Tyrod didn't see. You can't blame that on Dennison. But if they bring in another OC who will utilize Tyrod more like Roman/Lynn did and go back to the power run game, then it makes more sense to keep TT (assuming they can't find any potential upgrade). I actually think Dennison's offense could be much better with a guy like Alex Smith running it though. -
http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/index.ssf/2018/01/how_cleveland_browns_were_froz.html#incart_river_index If true, I am glad that the Pats didn't end up with the #4 overall pick in the draft. It it also shows just how much Belichick wanted to make sure Garoppolo went somewhere where he would have success (again, if true). Theres just too much stuff that doesn't add up (about Belichick/Brady/Kraft claiming to be on the same page) for this story to be fake. I really do think Belichick wanted to keep Garoppolo over Brady. Or at the very least wanted to keep Garoppolo AND Brady (even if it meant tagging JG).
