That's kind of the exact opposite of what Nick Saban and his game film said about him at Alabama lol Nick Saban literally opened up the playbook to a more pro style offense because tua could get to his 3rd + read Something that Jalen hurts couldn't do When a play breaks down tua isn't a good improviser... But he can get to his second and third read in college very easily He struggles in the pros because he's not built for the game and once his first reads not there he's taking a hit... So gets happy feet Sabans my favorite coach and tua certainly did not have a problem at Alabama getting to his second third or even 4th read... I was at the Alabama spring game when tua was an 18 year old high schooler playing in the game And he was dicing up Alabama's defense as a kid who was technically still in high school.. early enrolled... He was a tremendous college quarterback from the day he stepped on campus Much better at processing and getting to his second and third read than Jalen

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/roman-wilson/32005749-4c77-7750-194f-0fd7ed86214a This is a wide receiver the bills are targeting What's one of his weaknesses? Tends to One speeds his routes... Being able to run routes at multiple tempos is a positive not a negative Being able to run routes at multiple speeds has been a good thing forever because it keeps defensive backs on their heels Nobody and I'm certainly not saying you want players to run routes slowly... I'm saying the ability to change pace is a massive positive for a wide receiver Always has been

https://www.cover1.net/cole-beasley-option-routes-josh-allens-development-buffalo-bills/ This literally talks about how cole beasley changes up his speed on routes to get an advantage.. Or talk to a wide receiver coach.. changing up speeds doesn't mean running slow... It can help create leverage You don't need to be running 23 miles an hour to create separation... You can do it with craftiness and savvy
-
I've been Coaching and scouting for a long time I respectfully disagree NFL wide receivers do not run balls to the wall every single play.. and they certainly know how to vary their Pace on routes Changing route speeds is a huge part of being an NFL wide receiver... It always has
-
Changing route speeds is a massive part of a world class route runner You certainly just do not run full speed every single route... You need to have variance and nuance Mixing up tempo and variance... Allows you to set up cornerbacks for further routes... And gain leverage advantages Everybody in the NFL is fast just running at 100% speed doesn't work.. guys like Jerry Rice and Antonio Brown and Cole Beasley and Andre Reed were Masters at changing routes speeds.. it's the variance that gets you an edge in the pros Everybody is extremely fast you need to have nuance to route running I didn't listen to the interview so I don't know exactly what context that was used in but the ability to change routes speeds at the NFL level is actually a big plus

The NET ranking are definitely flawed and I know they are important but SU is #4 rn in the ACC with 20 wins They should be a tournament team

I think Morse has More than Hyde or poyer left As Jason Kelce has said a bunch... Physically, it's the easiest line position to play... Mentally it's the toughest Morse is very smart... He has been banged up due to injuries... But he's athletically in the upper tier of centers Look at some of his pulling as a center... A guard pulling like that would be amazing... He's doing it from the center position He's definitely got a very good gift -
I just want to say that this team is absolutely loaded for next year if they stay loyal to the orange And quadir is going to be an NBA player himself with the awesome development of the orange staff He's got the whole bag my God he could easily be a top 20 draft pick when it's all said and done if he sticks it out
-
It's because he's a Cowboy alumni..... He knows his stuff... And OKL st is good ... But top 20 is more reasonable
-
He broke ribs on his first every professional touch in the pre season... Terrible omen
-
You know who else scored first touch as a true frosh?!? Sammy Watkins 😱
-
Copeland with the 360 layup 👀👀👀

Big game at 8! Even tho it's a lowly Louisville squad they need to come out fast and put it away early

You are just sad that he transferred out One of my good friends played for Oklahoma.. is a sooner and a booster and contribute to money yearly to the program And he has nothing but good words to say about Caleb and that he is undoubtedly the number one quarterback
-
But even his childlike behavior is coming from outside sources and secondary sources You've never seen Caleb Williams ever act like he didn't care about football.. heck he cried when he lost Certainly the professional side of the game is the only thing that people are questioning But nobody really knows unless you have talked to Caleb Williams Kyler Murray is also a certified midget for the NFL.. Caleb is built right.. I'll guess 6'2 220 pounds He's built right

Grading 21-22 year old kids isn't a exact science But he has wayyy more tools than joe burrow or Justin Fields or darnold or Baker or Bryce young or cj stroud Since football is an inexact science and you're playing against 11 other individuals you have to scout traits as much as anything else "Generational prospect" is tossed around too much But he's tapping all the boxes.. it doesn't mean he's going to be an all pro quarterback for a decade it means the 22-year-old version of him is a great prospect He's a way crisper and more explosive deshaun Watson pre suspension with a bigger arm If you watch every single snap from the start of their freshman years there is not a real comparison between him and Drake Maye or Daniels There is a reason why professional scouts for the most part are oozing over his talent There's always a few edgy scouts who wants to go against the grain but there's a reason why the vast majority think he's tremendous and #1 in 24 His athleticism and arm strength coupled with his accuracy and poise is incredible for a 22 year old

Ed Oliver is playing out of his mind this season
Buffalo716 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
When you are getting triple teamed as a nose tackle it's hard to put up stats What were Vince wilfork stats as a nose tackle? Can't deny his impact He was playing out of technique to help a average Houston team... While still being top 10 in tackles for loss multiple years He did it playing nose tackle the majority of time He had 24 tackles for a loss as a freshman nose tackle -

I don't think Morse is underperforming... He's a really good athletic center He has weaknesses like most players but he's really solid.. They honestly probably give Bates the first shot after Morse retires -
Even when he starts slow he's not a bad football player and it's not because of his weight If he was 410 lb it would be concerning He has never been a liability on the field and he's always been ready to play He is not a finesse tackle he is a road grader... He uses mass to lean on people... To be physically imposing he needs to be as big as possible while maintaining his athleticism It's not a problem if he's 30 lb overweight... In February He certainly is not 30 lb overweight in September Being a professional football player is like being a professional boxer.. you can't stay in peak boxing condition 52 weeks straight That's why they go to a training camp for a fight and physically get into the best boxing shape.. you cannot maintain that peak form for 52 weeks Football players also cannot maintain that for 52 weeks and you have to find a balance... You definitely don't want to peek in September Dion Dawkins is a naturally huge man and if his balance.. is gaining 30 lb in the off-season As a 6'5 man who could carry alot of weight that is not the worst thing .. especially for a position that they call the big uglies... They're called that for a reason they are big boys Until he shows he can't move it's not a problem
-
I know that lineman definitely lose 20-30 lb at training camp All the time And if your a lineman if you can gain more mass while keeping the same speed and athleticism that's also never a bad thing Dion being a road grader at 330.. is way more imposing than being 310 I've also had his back here for years and said the same thing last year when everybody was bashing him and I said it's not a problem he's our best lineman Thanks for playing https://www.nfl.com/news/uncrustables-weigh-ins-and-h2o-how-nfl-s-offensive-defensive-linemen-manage-thei Wilkin says he loses 10 lb a practice Now you replenish so you don't become malnourished... But it's very easy to lose 20-30 lb in a training camp as a big guy You obviously don't want a wide receiver coming in 30 lb heavy.. it's not the end of the world for a lineman who is a veteran and knows what he needs to do

Ed Oliver is playing out of his mind this season
Buffalo716 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ed Oliver played 0T and 1T at Houston And he said he studied him at Houston... That's why Ed's pass Rushing was very underdeveloped when he came into the League But his run stuffing was great He was used to taking on double and triple teams as a 0T... He didn't have a lot of reps as a pass Rushing 3T which takes a certain skill set to get home as a rusher Now he obviously had the athleticism and the potential to get better hands and work on the rush moves he needed from the 3T... Which he did... Which is why his pass rushing has came full circle But he had to learn how to use his hands which he did not have coming out in a pass rushing repertoire... He had the build and the athleticism... He didn't have the moves coming out He was a Elite back side run stuffer with a great bull rush and tremendous potential if he could learn how to use his hands -
Lmao the Dawkins bashing is Soo stupid and old He's literally playing the toughest line position in the NFL and he's our most consistent lineman... Consistently left one-on-one There's not a lineman alive who doesn't carry 20 30+ extra pounds in the off season... That's why you have OTAs and minicamp and training camp... Multiple sessions to get into shape the correct way No lineman walk around their playing weight in the offseason because you are losing weight throughout TC and the season... That's a fact If you come into training camp 325 lb as a lineman... You're going to be leaving at 310 lb... Some lineman lose 30+ pounds Dawkins plays at around 320... And clearly carried a lot of water weight... I don't care if he's 355 lb in February He certainly wasn't 355 in August Just look at the way he moves on a football field... He's a freak athlete for a guy his size... As long as you can keep your athleticism having more mass will never hurt you especially on the line If he was moving in quicksand it could be a problem but Dion is a freak athlete.. I'd be more worried about his age than how he trains

Jets grant Zach Wilson permission to seek trade
Buffalo716 replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
And that's why the NFL is a business Why, somebody like Taylor heinecke... Had to sit behind a washed up Carson Wentz Because one was a top five overall pick making a ton of money.. and one was an undrafted free agent It took crazy circumstances for Heineke to take that job Because if you're an owner paying a quarterback 25 million a year you're going to play him over a guy who's making $750,000 Regardless of the talent at the time It's a business and you're giving one guy 25 million dollars -

Murray is not a winning NFL QB... He has wayyy too many holes he would have been a much better baseball player
