If it was 100% cut and dry they can get Josh Allen to his ceiling they would have drafted the 6'5 mobile gunslinger over the 5 ft 11 quarterback who is good but not as talented The Jets also went with a cleaner prospect in Sam.. because news flash developing a quarterback is very tough

It's because they know how to develop quarterbacks as a organization.. they let them sit and learn and they groom them .. developing quarterbacks is absolutely an organizational thing Which is why from day one I said McDermott sitting Josh Allen was the smartest thing.. a quarterback can only grow from the bench .. a full year would have had Josh correcting his flaws even earlier Everything McDermott is done has been terrific in developing Josh

They haven't had consistent coaching Nothing that shows they could correct flaws.. remember Baker was a prospect with a lot of game experience and his flaws were minimal for a rookie prospect He needed minimal development.. he just needed steadiness.. they couldn't even give him steadiness No I have zero belief that the browns would have been able to develop Josh Allen to the point where they are super bowl contenders while correcting his flaws.. I don't think the word arm talent correlates with just pure arm strength.. in fact people will still use the word Arm strength The whole arm talent word describes the entirety of his ability to throw.. can he do it from the pocket and on the run? Can he change arm angles to get it over or around defenders and still be accurate? Can he drop a ball over a linebacker under a safety? All of that encompasses what they describe arm talent not just the strength of his arm not every quarterback has the ability to easily drop arm angles and still be accurate.. not every quarterback throws a good ball on the run.. not every quarterback can make the throw Josh made the Josh Palmer versus the Ravens.. can you deliver a strike while getting hit hard staring down pressure? Can you throw somebody open? Thats arm talent when they talk about it

Sean McDermott has his entire fingerprints all over this organization from top down Yes Josh Allen spends plenty of time with McDermott and he absolutely gets credit for helping to develop him.. Bill belichick gets credit for helping to develop Tom Brady as well McDermott is not a hands-off coach he has fingerprints all over this roster, obviously he's been a huge influence on Allen A bum coach would have had Josh keeping his bad habits and never developing
