  1. This is all going to come crashing down in the next 5 to 10 years players taking millions of dollar and transferring multiple times it's not going to last long time Also the roster limit cut to 105 is going to severely hurt a bunch of middle programs who always relied on strong Walk-Ons Plenty of schools have strong walk on histories and this is going to hurt
  2. I'm going to break this guy's fist before he breaks my face That's a risky strategy
  3. Jeez it was not a good look Did Patchy know that he could move his head
  4. while that is technically true I liken the college game to the best amateurs.. not the worst professionals Even these college kids getting paid is going from best amateur to worst professional kind of... Sure they deserve compensation Some kids are getting paid more than professionals
  5. A good amount more than most NFL players
  6. He does have some underrated cornerback skills He played on an island at UB.. literally a one-on-one Island like revis a bunch Undersized and undermanned out wide... 5' 10 with cleats... And he battled against 6 ft Plus division 1 wide receivers for years getting the best of 90 plus percent of them While dealing with a terrible infection which could have made him lose part of his arm.. played with a club at UB ... Was a team leader on and off the field I've had his back since day one here because spend many days around the UB program and nothing would make me happier than to see him succeed even more
  7. As much as I really like Cameron Lewis.. I've been around him since his time at UB and he's a warrior If we have players who are clearly better I wish him the best but I want the best players I think he does have a fight for the roster this year but I do think he does have future options elsewhere in the league
  8. A western New York fighter is squaring off right now Patchy mix former bellator champ!
  9. I know how the minimum salary works and he is technically above it... Even if slightly...And I would take him above plenty of other dime corners The difference is most players getting cut are not NFL quality players.. cam Lewis is an NFL quality slot corner, back up safety and special team player he's actually talented and tough enough to play in the NFL... And he has tape that's better than a lot of dime corners
  10. If he got cut in camp he would absolutely be picked up by another NFL squad He signed a 2-year contract above what the veteran minimum would be for his salary.. if they thought he was a bum he would have got the lowest contract available.. even getting a couple hundred thousand above the minimum is more than a lot of players He's definitely better than most teams dime corners which is the only point I making is he is an NFL quality player regardless what team
  11. Front offices are typically broken down into two sides Football guys and non football guys But there's area scouts have no aspiration to ever get into high front office positions... Which is less job certainty with more pressure... And other people's decisions affect you ... Now a GM job is a different story... Most scouts would love that, but they might not want to be director of pro personnel Guys like Bill nunn got enshrined in the Hall of Fame because they were excellent scouts Their calling was finding 14 Hall of Fame players like Bill did Guys like Dan Morgan have that aspiration to be more than a scout.. it really depends on the guy
  12. Your good bud I just went to last page
  13. Well that's maybe something you should add to the Post Because he had passes that were 20 yards downfield completed every year of his career and a good amount of them I don't think the post I quoted from you specifically said your metric
  14. Did you just say the bills and Josh Allen did not complete a 20-yard air completion all season? They certainly did One quadrant of the field is different than not completing a pass 20 plus yards down field technically
  15. Well that's why it's a passion thing If you don't love it ... The hours will feel worse
  16. There are plenty of scouts who never want to get into all the BS that the front office comes with They actually like the grind and the hustle of being a area scout on the road And you can make depending on the team and your seniority 60 70 80 90 thousand dollars on the road That's with everything else getting paid for so yeah tough life but if it's your passion it's not that bad
  17. The bills scouting department going back 30 years is solid Brandon Beane shows that he sometimes was never a scout in the early rounds .. 100% Elam is Beane selling McDermott and scouts on non scheme fit athlete.. hairston and tre white is scouts and McDermott having a scheme fit He is a very good gm , needs to trust the people around him and know he isn't the smartest in the room when it comes to scheme and talent identification sometimes
  18. I'm pretty sure you're joking cus Buffalo Springfield is from California
  19. Well I did say 50.. and you only dress 48 And I do think he squarly is in the majority of NFL rosters 48 to 50 .. he's better than a lot of back of roster players Which is typically a glue guy and he's tremendous teammate and good player
  20. Cam lewis is accrued veteran so he becomes an unrestricted free agent if cut and he will certainly sign with another team Good teams lose NFL quality NFL players As I said most teams don't have a 50-53 guy as versatile and team friendly as can.. plenty of teams need a guy who could play back up safety and back up slot and play special teams and be good In the locker room
  21. They did for a long time and they took it off a couple years ago.. and I really feel like it was around the time where the bengals got blown up for only having four scouts Maybe I'm reading too much between the lines but Bills fans would be the type of people to complain that they have nine collegiate scouts Again I'm spitballing but it used to always be available Right down to the lowest blesto scout
  22. Even Tom Brady has had bad plays.. Dion isn't perfect but I bet he would make that block 7-8 out of 10
  23. They did for years until all the nitpicking of everything You see internet articles written about the low volume of the Cincinnati Bengals scouts.. and how they've been cheap on it for years.. and how they don't care etc As soon as fan started caring about how many scouts teams are carrying the bills took it off the page because they don't want people thinking they're being cheap with nine scouts in the college department
  24. That's very true.. and I've never had a problem being critical with Bills players who need to perform better But I think there's a lot more people you could point at before you point to Dawkins it's not easy to block The blind side of a player like Allen.. Tom Brady got the ball out in 1.5 seconds every play and you knew where he was going to be That's tackle-friendly Josh has escape ability that could make bad offensive lineman look better... But coming from The blind side they're trained to hold their block 1 2 3 quarterback has the ball out I was a defensive back but it's probably not easy to be the left tackle for Josh Allen or Brett favre guys who like to ad lib... He had the widest split last year for a left tackle in the last 12 years And that's because they are running off the nine technique on Josh Allen to contain the pocket and he has a very hard block
  25. Dion Dawkins is one of the best tackles in the world... And our offensive line is now one of the best you can take plays from Joe Thomas where he looks bad Calling out Dion is crazy because he is technique wise probably the best left tackle in the world and a top five left tackle.. you can't name five guys with more consistency over the last 6 years and that's what offensive line is about.. consistency His technique is world class.. he has techniques that you don't see other linemen using
