  1. I'm driving right now through Pennsylvania so I haven't really paid that much attention to the draft the last couple hours Did Bond get drafted? By who
  2. I think this is a great scheme fit... He played in a system that is similar to Sean.. he's tremendous in off coverage... He has instincts, burst.. a playmaker at the corner position which is rare The perfect player for Tre white to mentor Except that the University of Kentucky has arrested multiple athletes in the last decade for rape So I don't think it's a cover-up when they have arrested their own Maybe like ariza... Not a lot of legs run with the story
  3. Yea I hear you I'm going to watch a few guys but Matt Ponatoski is a rising QB from the East Coast starting to get high major buzz and he's still undecided but he has a live arm and I think Pennsylvania Ohio area is a really underrated area for football players Doesn't get the love it could Obviously Texas Florida Georgia California are the Kings... But Louisiana , DMV area, Carolinas and Ohio Pennsylvania have a lot of great talent.. then add Alabama, Mississippi The amount of high school football talent in this country is insane
  4. I hear you i get it It's nearly impossible for a man with a family
  5. I've been a scout on the road for the high school circuit the last 9 years I'll be at the elite 11 east coast camp next month in Ohio Do you still do the circuit?
  6. For sure for sure I think Stafford is definitely better in his entire career.. how much better do you think Matt Stafford is right now compared to 27-year-old tua? Is he much better? A little bit better? Or is the gap closing or widening in your opinion I think Stafford is certainly the better quarterback without a doubt... But for how many more years can he be effective with all his miles and balls thrown To me tuas fragility is his biggest question mark.. I think he actually does have NFL talent with his processing and accuracy and good enough arm strength The problem is what my old college coach used to tell me.. that football is a grown man's game, and tua might be tough as nails coming back from those injuries.. but sometimes you can be too tough for your own health he's also been pretty brittle... I can't remember the last starting quarterback who had as many question marks for durability going back to college I think the dolphins are stuck in mediocrity with him
  7. I love Tre.. one of my favorite players the last decade I don't know if he could hold up physically at safety
  8. LaVar arrington II son of NFL linebacker is going Penn State next year A lot of potential
  9. I knew Brandon Beane would blow it Armani Rogers!!
  10. Ofc rbs in college are undervalued and overused I played college rb and am beat up till this day .. I have concussion problems and knee problems Marcus lattimore was one of my favorite and it's said
  11. For sure that's not a bad take Running backs, especially the physically developed ones... Might be ready for the NFL quicker than say an offensive tackle The only problem with that is if you let the running backs leave after 2 years.. then the wide receivers and linebackers and defensive ends will also think they only need to stay two years Then you're getting a bunch of underdeveloped football players into the NFL
  12. Yeah McDaniel has a lot of smoke and mirrors.. but the substance behind it isn't that strong McVay definitely has a lot of window dressing but his core philosophy is stronger... He has a strong will to running the football.. and play complimentary Which magnifies all of the window dressing... With McDaniel you know it's smoke... You don't even need to take the cheese... But McVay has a better game plan around his window dressing
  13. Most 18-year-old kids need more than 2 years of development.. that's why they have 5 years of being eligible Not to mention the world-class facilities that the division 1 schools have.. like Alabama's facilities are better than any NFL's That's also a big reason to go to a major division 1 School.. their facilities and ability to develop you is better than any other option.. the 2-year League won't have the same facilities or money Alabama spent $113 million on their football program last year
  14. I spit out my tea Back to the premise of the thread.. I hope they keep McDaniel because I think he's decent enough to keep them from a top five pick... But I don't think he's good enough to consistently win in the AFC East Especially with the bills and a New England team that is getting better I don't think he's anywhere near a top 10 NFL coach
  15. It's because his recruiting status and tangibles He looks the part, he has a big arm, surprisingly athletic for his size... He's just missing some stuff in between.. I do think he will have a good season for Penn State tho
  16. A handful of players have houses here and are around
  17. But what about the people who can't pay tuition And they're there because they're a three-star football / basketball player with a 4.0 GPA from Gary Indiana And they want to play in the ivy League not ball st Yale beat Baylor in the NCAA tournament a few years ago... They certainly get good players .. and not all of their parents can pay for Yale or Harvard They have ways around it
  18. It's still D1 football Division 2 has a tough walk on process.. I don't care if it's ivy league it's still not easy Harvard typically does get a good amount of kids trying to walk on... I don't know about the rest of the ivy league but it's all division one football
  19. Obviously Sean McDermott was a much much much better football player than Mike McDaniel lol But you know how many people will say McDermott sucked because he didnt play 1A lol Some People think UB is bad football
  20. So maybe he does dress a little geeky 😂 Sean McDermott versus Mike McDaniel.. 12 rounds in the boxing ring How long does it last
  21. I was not trying to use McDaniels record as a walk on to say NFL football players would view him as a peer Somebody called him a nerd lol.. and all I said was he was a division one football player.. which usually means you're tough That was it And it is technically the truth.. and then I went on to the spiel about how hard Walk-Ons have to work and how hard they have it... And that a walk on who makes it 4 years has to have a lot of grit and toughness I've never once tried to say McDaniel could be an NFL wide receiver, he didn't have the talent to play in the Mac lol.. I know he doesn't have that talent What I was trying to point out was how much toughness you need get through 4 years as a walk on.. which I don't think a dweeby nerd would have that toughness lol
  22. So his stupid head coach brought him up to varsity? The guy who said he was trash brought him up to varsity? That's interesting.. and I never said he was a great football player He had to have been showing more than the other JV players to get called up to varsity at a point.. who would bring up a kid to varsity if he was crying every practice and a liability of getting hurt I never said he was great I said he had to have worked really hard and showed something to stick around as a walk on for 4 years and make the varsity.. most Walk-Ons last one season He played 4.. he had to have worked hard and had some skill and toughness to get moved up... That is the only thing that I have said is that it's really hard he had to have worked hard and shown something
  23. I never said Mike McDaniel had talent to be playing or starting I said Walk-Ons have to bust their asses and work very very hard I said Mike McDaniel had to have been super tough and a very hard worker to be a four-year walk on at a division 1 School And I thought ivy League schools gave out academic scholarships not athletic scholarships.. regardless they still recruit https://news.springisd.org/2024/02/spring-isd-learning-fair-ignites-collaboration-growth-for-200-educators/ Dr. Hinojosa also took the opportunity to spotlight some outstanding student achievements, including Winship Elementary fourth-grader Abigail John, a published author, and Dekaney High School senior Christian Nwosu, who earned a scholarship to Harvard University. Last sentence that I copied talks about Christian nwosu a three-star defensive end who says earned a scholarship to Harvard.. he's on their football team but they obviously gave him something
