But McDermotts defenses historically tighten up in the red zone and later in the game And he gets a full read on that Ravens run game through three quarters.. to where those last couple drives when they did try up the gut... On it like white on rice But he does give up three quarters of getting gashed because he doesn't want to put more people in the box

Eh I've been to bills games with my 70 year old father where it was a downpour in 30° and freezing rain And he would die if he caught pneumonia so he has to go back to the car

That's something that the coaches will have to weigh But if there's not much time left in a game.. and you got no timeouts and you're going quick down the field you might just be able to get to the 38 or 40.. so it might be 55 to 59 occasionally If you can adjust your offense to where you're only trotting out the kicker at 50 and below... And you might be going for it on 4th and ones or 4th and twos from the 40 That can potentially work Again the only drawback is if you have to trot out your kicker from 57 for the win... We might have to be throwing a hail Mary at that point which Tyler Bass from 57 is still much higher possibility than a hail Mary Also maybe he gets some strength back in his leg and maybe in a week or two he can hit from 57

Absolutely McDermott is not foolproof He absolutely did tighten up in the Ravens game last year.. hopefully he learned from it And harbaugh is a really good coach.. I probably would have tightened up with a 15-point lead with 5 minutes left too A lot of coaches are wired like that

And we're beating them in the playoffs Again the difference is we played the chiefs at Arrowhead last year with a bunch of fresh injuries... Not injuries an NFL team had seven weeks to adjust with... We literally had 11 guys on the injury report most of them dinged up the last week... 7 on defense Lost our best corner didn't have our best safety.. and in a game of inches where the talent margin is so slim.. on the road in Arrowhead one of the toughest places to play we lost by three That's it three points.. we didn't lose by 15 or 18 or 30.. we lost by a field goal severely banged up and hampered Yes I 1,000% believe with Benford and rapp we win.. when we played the Chiefs once without two starters in their secondary Gabe Davis looked like Jerry Rice.. Jerry Rice We're constantly seeing the Chiefs in the playoffs down a starting middle linebacker and are starting corner and a contributing safety and our number two wide receiver lol that was also in the playoffs two years ago Sure the Chiefs have had some injuries but their injuries that happened in October and any professional team can adjust over 12 plus weeks... What's really hard is getting those injuries 6 days before the playoff game That is the difference health is massive...
