  1. Ofc he isn't a hero lol He doesn't give two s**** about us or Buffalo at the end of the day
  2. Brandon Beane should be fired if he make that trade That is way too much assets for a wide receiver who is getting greatly overrated He isn't even the prospect Sammy Watkins was coming out... Certainly not AJ Green or Julio
  3. Yeah but you also forget that life is not fair I learned that when I was a child... Buffalo and the state of New York either plays ball Or we would have lost the Buffalo Bills As somebody whose family has had season tickets since day one I know where I stand... I want the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo Even if billionaires are playing greedy games... But they became billionaires because they are greedy at the end of the day Do you get upset when a bee stings you? No it's a bee I don't get upset when a greedy billionaire shows who he really is... I've expected this all along
  4. If you read one of my earlier posts I said the exact same thing The NCAA is in Jeopardy of not existing in 20 years.. if this all keeps up
  5. I'm not saying it's perfect I'm saying that this new era of college football that's going to have two super conferences... And a bunch of afterthoughts Sounds worse than the old way which might have been corrupt... But there was legitimately 5 major conferences with historic rivalries Even mid majors were able to build semi-dynasties at the group of five level... Boise states run with Peterson over a decade was beautiful for the game and will probably never happen again It made his competition step their game up A lot of people including myself feel like this is going to kill team continuity which used to get developed over years and years Yes the old way was dirty... It still is not perfect... All the power to the players It's just going to turn into two mega super conferences and a bunch of meh in 20 years if it doesn't get fixed
  6. Exactly Draft Day consensus Sammy Watkins was a much better prospect than Marvin Harrison Jr he was a All American as a freshman... Joining only like Herschel Walker and AP lol And Marvin Harrison Jr is not AJ Green or Julio Jones coming out
  7. You're right and that's sort of my point with the unlimited transfer portal... That's why I would make it like a one-time thing My booster friend used to be able to give a lot of cash to a recruit for his loyalty for 3 to 5 years... It was a relationship built upon a brand, which is the program, the players potential and a lot of money It was like an unwritten rule that it would buy your commitment for at least 3 years Now that it is in the open... It doesn't buy anything... And boosters like my friend.. have little reason to be a college booster When there was a significant reason 20 years ago... I think players should have the option of transferring without consequence but it should be a one-time deal
  8. I've been around the game, in a professional setting for 30 years I haven't seen a lot of kids lose their scholarships because of injury... Yes it's in the rules and it can happen But I do not and have not seen a lot of kids lose their scholarship Due to injuries That's very rare As to the coaching changes... I understand your argument But are you loyal to the school or the coach... My friend gives $100,000 a year to Oklahoma football so they can shower recruits so they're loyal to the school not the coach Yes I understand system and scheme is everything... Which could also be a bylaw... A coach leaving can also Grant a one-time transfer waiver
  9. And how did Kellen Winslow Jr work out LOL Honestly a great comparison Both physical specimens... I'm not sure about where their head is at Does Marvin Harrison Jr really love the game or is he just talented...
  10. Injuries and academics are the only thing that could take away a football player scholarship So when an institution gives an 18-year-old kid football scholarship they are loyal for 4 years besides catastrophic injury or not showing up to class I would even give it to a kid with an injury but they're not cutting scholarships because they're bad Absolutely it's a really tough slope Baker Mayfield... One of the greatest college quarterbacks of all time certainly needed the transfer portal to blossom And he had to fight the NCAA I just think one transfer should be open... If you're leaving twice I think you should have to redshirt
  11. A division 1 football player cannot lose his scholarship if he goes to practice everyday works hard and stays academically eligible.. I'm pretty sure that has been a rule for a few years.. I don't believe they revoke scholarships for talent anymore.. if you were given it A coach might leave that they like but the school cannot screw them over if they are loyal work hard and academically eligible.. I believe that has been the rule for a while now They cannot take away a scholarship just because you aren't as good as they thought coming out of high school There are plenty of scholarship athletes that never start a game in their career.. but they stay on athletic scholarship
  12. It also got rushed into existence The rules and guidelines were a very gray area... I think they will get ironed out within the next 5 to 10 years with a clear concrete set of rules AKA One open transfer per player.. anything more is an automatic red shirt... And taking nil money keeps you out of school for at least the entire athletic season
  13. Well being a college scout and former booster... I have friends who are on the board of major college football programs Their number one goal is the certainly iron this out.. nil and open transfer portal They will not have this stand for a decade.. they would rather collapse the NCAA then keep this These kids get recruited for years.. not weeks or months... Schools will start to recruit lower levels recruits who will be loyal for 4 years other than high-ranked mercenaries Dual transfers within 6 months are absolutely going to be the downfall of the open transfer portal... And players transferring three times
  14. Absolutely UB should have given him the reins to the program anything he wanted I know Lance did everything to bring him with him... But UB should have done everything to not let him leave with Lance he's also a tremendous under the radar recruiter... He will get a two or three star guy that plays like a major 4 star Because the development
  15. andy kotelnicki Dude is definitely a great coach and I've spent time around him But he's a protege of Lance... Lance 100% has a game plan I'm not worried Andy is phenomenal and he's going to be amazing at Penn State But Lance truly is a program builder... No doubt he will have jayhawk quarterbacks going to the NFL Because he has a calming demeanor on the quarterback room
  16. I called it too He certainly is one of the 10 best coaches in college football bar none Football is still my job and I've spent time around a lot of really smart football coaches Lance is a class act and a world class coach... Listened when I tell you He and his staff are quarterback whispers They know how to develop a quarterback
  17. I definitely have been enamored with him since Utah Since I've been to a lot of quarterback camps around the country I tend to follow certain quarterbacks that I've seen I've always liked cam rising and his toughness and smarts.. so when he transferred to Utah I started watching more And Dalton instantly pops I think I started jumping around my house when we drafted him lol
  18. Oh for sure without a doubt It's been a slow decline for me since the original Big East disbanded I love Syracuse orangeman basketball but the ACC is not the same And it has hurt our recruiting
  19. The NCAA tourney really is an amazing event When you have close to 400 division 1 programs with talent spread around Then you add in schemes and coaching There's a reason why they can have 68 teams or whatever and make it very competitive
  20. Arrowhead had a complete retrofit upgrade recently And I was there it certainly was not a dump Rock chalk.. Kansas has stole the best UB coaches of the last 20 years
  21. I'm just calling it like I see it It's billionaires who want more money at the end of the day... But if you're playing hardball... And this is what it takes to keep the bills in Buffalo I would rather do that than not have them
  22. He's going to be so good And while he leave he wasn't trucking people like Gronk I felt like he continually fell forward and will use his elusiveness better with time
  23. What you might get is 70,000 DieHard fans tailgating in private lots While only some of them go to the games with all the people who bought psls But the private lots will probably party for the entire game while playing it on TV
  24. I have lived in Buffalo my entire life I understand the people here... Buffalo certainly creates more of an SEC football atmosphere... We understand football we love it and we love to party The league did change the blackout rules though.. you don't need to sell out anymore I do remember games back in the day that were not on TV
  25. Long day I forgot about that original point And regardless on if there would be more events at the new stadium or not... And if they got first dibs at a ticket PSL is certainly part of every single new stadium now Whether it's Los Angeles or Buffalo... Point of the psls was for owners to recoup money at the end of the day... I don't think they care if the fan gets more chances or not to another event Every new stadium will have psls because the owner wants to get some of his money back
