There's the massive difference between Allen/Mahomes and every other QB. When their offense needs a big 3rd down conversion they find a way to deliver. Doesn't matter what players are on the field with them.
On the other side when Herbert's team needs a big play he throws a sideline ball to nowhere.
I take back what I said about the Chiefs possibly not being able to win their division. The coaching mismatch between them and the rest of the division is hilariously wide. You could trade all the rosters around and the Chiefs would still win the division.
It's bad coaching. The Chiefs walk into every game with a massive coaching advantage. The only thing you cannot let happen there is a deep TD. Undisciplined coaching leads to undisciplined plays. And the Chiefs end up winning games where they were outplayed because of it.
I'm sorry but this is incredibly embarrassing for the Chargers. How do you let them hang around after losing their best skill player. So sick of every freaking team letting the Chiefs get away with this crap.
They became a defensive team last year. But with that style you at least need an average offense. I don't know if they have the horses to muster that right now.
It is kind of the ultimate Chiefs game script though that despite having the worst possible thing happen they are only down by 10 and they just pinned their opponent at the 2 yard line. Chargers need to figure out a way to put this team away.
Two weeks in a row an offense ran straight at Chris Jones while facing 1 yard to go. Once again I have to give Joe Brady some props for always doing the simple easy thing on every play.
Meh Rice gets no tears from me. The NFL won't suspend him so the universe will. He could have killed someone. Pure dumb luck is the only reason he's not facing 25 to life right now.
Rice's injury might be a season ender. That could be fatal for the Chiefs' chances. Famous last words, I know, but he has been their one elite skill player this year.
