I agree with this with one caveat. If Bellichick were to leave NE for us (obviously rediculous) I would take him just to get him off that team. That said, I would rather he go to any NFC team instead.

I like the Falcons, Vikings, and (god I can't believe I'm going to admit this) the red Pats throwbacks. I still think the Bills uni's are the class of the league, though.

Exactly. I love him now, but we would start complaining about him as soon as he threw an incomplete pass. He is not our QB of the future. Getting Dalton is actually a real concern for me. After he beat the Ravens, the first thing to pop in my head (besides omg we made the playoffs!) was "oh no, he's going to be in Buffalo next year".

I would argue thaat even if we were to go 9-7 again, it probably won't get us in again. That was a very lucky situation to get in this time. There were som real powerhouses left out just in our conference. 8 new playoff teams. It was a "get right" year, and teams like Baltimore and San Diego are (imo) better than the Bills, Jags, Cheifs, and Titans. I'm not devaluing the playoff makers, or saying they should not have made it, but it was a massively weird year. We can't count on crazy scenarios going our way every year. I am super happy we made the dance, but to do it consistently we NEED a QB that can succeed at something besides protecting his qbr.

I actually agree with this. I think the playoff berth put McD and Beane in a comfortable enough position to continue the emphisis on the future. They will get their QB and fill as many holes with greenhorns as possible, and load up and surround him with skill players in year 2. It may take an awful lot of draft capital or cap space depending on if we go the Fa/trade route or the draft...

Right. And jags. Thats 3. We have 8 losses (including playoffs) That means we won 62.5% of "close games". Hardly all of them.

Keep an eye on quality control with the new era items. I got a hat that is messed up (manufacture defect) and now they cant send me another one because they have no more. Now I don't get a playoff hat because they didn't quality control well enough, or come anywhere near demand on all the hats. Kinda pathetic they are even charging me to ship it back. I don't think I will ever do business with them again.
