Do we rest the starters next week?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really want to hear Mcd come out first thing tomorrow and say it’s all back ups against the Jets. Don’t even play around. The score in this game is meaningless. There is no need to try and gain advantages over the Jets. Let the fans know Monday that they don’t have to be worried about injuries in a pointless game -
Likely first round opponent?

I don’t know if that’s true. -
Around the League Week 16

The dolphins just blew a 16 point lead with 33 sec left in the 4th lol -
It is. But I’m certainly not expecting it to happen. What the patriots did against us yesterday, is what we should be doing. A run game that can get you 4 yards on first down, (even when they know you are running it) will be deadly with Allen. Brady isn’t going to hurt you down field but the arm of Allen forces you to respect the deep ball. Even if he hasn’t been hitting them this season, teams still know this guy can kill you deep down field. We are a team trying to win 17-13 every week and shorten the game. You can’t do that consistently if you are going 3 and out every other drive. Need to get that inside run game going to go along with Singletary and Allen. Otherwise we are never going to score enough to be the truly elite teams in the AFC. Physical defenses are making us one dimensional. Get an element of a power run Game going and we can win playoff games.

Is There a Chance McD Threw the Game Yesterday?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only thing he needed to throw was the red challenge flag -
The best way for this team to win multiple playoff games this year, is to develop a power running game this week. We have a free game to throw some stuff at the wall. We are not going to beat teams by throwing. Take this free week to experiment with some big physical packages. Things that can give you 3 and 4 yards on the ground even when the defense knows we are going to run. Singletary is great. We need a second guy. Maybe he’s on the roster right now, maybe he’s on a practice squad, maybe he’s on the street. Go find a physical back that’s can run inside. It’s not Gore. Use the jet game to work in some 3 TE, FB sets. See if you can’t get going what the Pats got going last night. Go sign Blount, go find a new guy that nobody knows that is on a practice squad. The Bills are great at finding Runningbacks. Go find a physical runner that can complement Singletary and let’s turn this offense into a powerful complement to a stingy defense. We are a team that needs to sustain long drives and shorten games. You need to run against big boxes to do that. Especially when your quarterback is very streaky.

If you could swap QBs with any team right now
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Max Fischer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
all things considered for sure -Mahomes -Watson -Wentz -Rogers (even if it’s only for a few years nfl windows are small) -Stafford -Wilson Guys I’d think about -Lamar Jackson -Prescott -Matt Ryan -Brees for a 2 year run with this defense -
I don’t want to start another RB thread so I will just add to this one. If we are going to make a run in the playoffs we are going to need to be more effective running the ball. Singletary is excellent but behind him we have 0 right now. You could see against the Patriots that the Bills finally realized what they have in Gore yesterday. The guy should not be active and he’s keeping other players off the field. The only thing I want to see in the Jet game, is extreme use of Yeldon and Perry. Unless the Bills plan on bringing in a street FA RB this week, then you need to find out which one of those guys can be the #2 in the playoffs. We are not built to beat teams through the air and we have got to get this ground game going against tough defenses in the playoffs.

Tough loss but I'm over it
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I told myself before the game I wasn’t going to let a loss destroy me because no matter what we are in and the refs ruin every patriots game in Foxboro. Then the game started and all of that went out the window. It usually takes me days to not still be furious over a loss but I’m okay today. The biggest prize is still ahead of us and hopefully this team learns a lot from yesterday. Next years schedule is brutal and I know it’s silly to look at it like that but we really have to take advantage this year. You never know when we will get back. Learn from yesterday and make the adjustments now to take advantage of THIS opportunity because tomorrow is never promised. -

I can’t come up with a single reason to play anyone that matters. The game is completely meaningless. It’s just like a 4th preseason game. The only thing you can do, is get someone hurt. Do not put anyone important out there for even 1 snap. I don’t care if we lose to the jets 95-0. Just use the whole week to start game planning for Houston and KC. And get every player that matters an extra full week to get healthy and fresh. Do not play anyone even half of a quarter. It’s week 17. They have all played plenty. They do not need to play a quarter against a dirty Greg Williams team with nothing to lose. Be smart people. -
I’m not sure what made me think of this before the game but it’s crazy how few Bills qbs have led the bills to the playoffs. Since the merger you have Ferguson, kelly, flutie, Tyrod and Allen. If I’m missing someone here let me know. I wasn’t around for the early 80s or 70s obviously but that’s a short list. My guess is Allen sticks for a bit. Especially if he can deliver a playoff win this year in Houston or KC. The list of Bills qbs with a playoff win is very short.

I can tell you with 100% certainty if they hired me to be in charge of clock management, there would be a significant improvement. A 13 year old playing madden knows when to call time outs and when to turn up the urgency at the end of a half or game. We are running the clock out on ourselves when we are losing.

Allen or Singletary or White could get hurt on the first play of the game. There’s no reason for them to be out there. First off, we can win with our backups anyway. Second off, it doesn’t matter either way -
Before the game I wanted the bills to put Tre White on Edelman all game and let any other WR beat us. This team does dumb ***** constantly. Clock management terrible again as always. Decisions on challenge plays are on the level of a pre schooler. It’s sad because the team itself it pretty good. Just so many consistently dumb tendencies

There is no reason at all to play any starter at all. Barkley, Perry, Yeldon, Duke, Foster, Roberts, Kroft, Lee Smith...that should be your skill position guys on offense. No Tre, no Milano, No Edmunds, no Hyde, no Poyer on defense. -
Robert Foster = total non factor
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would not have said this before the regular season started but : if this was how we were going to use Foster, then I wish we would have kept Zay Jones. Zay was a total letdown and it seemed as if there was no place for him. But at this point, I’d much rather see him on the outside across from Brown. I don’t understand what happened with Foster but it’s been a complete waste. -
This is why the inactive’s are so frustrating. Today was a day to give Yeldon or Perry touches. See what you have. The game mattered but a loss doesn’t sink our ship. Singletary better not be even dressed against the Jets. Let’s see what these other two gave and keep the A guys healthy for the playoffs.

Will we be back in NE in 4 weeks?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to bigbuffs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any bills fan that wants the bills to play the patriots again in the playoffs is mind boggling. The best ***** Bills team in 25 years, couldn’t beat the worst patriots team in 20 years. We do not beat the patriots. We will not beat them in the playoffs. Do not ask to play them. Ask to play anyone else. -

There’s not a single reason to play anyone important next week. I would test anyone that matters for the entire game -
Until we actually beat this team, I’m never going to think we can. Enough is enough. It’s been 20 ***** years. You just brought your best team ever to Foxboro and lost to the worst team Brady’s been on. Until we beat them, I’m never going to think we can.
-
This was the best bills team we have ever had against Brady and this is the worst patriots team. Until the guy is off the Patriots. We just aren’t going to beat them. It just is automatic no matter what the situation. It’s ***** ridiculous. If you aren’t going to win that game today, I don’t see when you will.
