  1. He's a legit physical talent, and has a cannon arm. He's super raw and could take 2 years sitting before he's ready. He's got a huge ceiling, but also a super low floor and high bust potential. If you like him, you have to be ready to take that huge gamble, and be willing to sit him and be patient while he develops, and be willing to accept that he might blow up in your face.
  2. Message board posters know more than NFL execs. Duh. That list has Mason Rudolph as a top10 pick and the #1 QB, and Lamar Jackson as the #2 QB. That's clearly a list just trying to get clicks by ranking against the grain.
  3. Why do you think he got to Buffalo so fast after he was signed? Corned beef and beerslies.
  4. I hear they need a couple of athletic towel boys
  5. I don't disagree with you. My statement was not directed at you, but more general, that people act as if Baker has a recurring issue. It seems to have been an idiotic mistake. It should be heavily talked about behind closed doors, privately with him, by ANY team who wishes to draft him. I think it needs to be looked into and addressed by each individual team, but, unless they feel he isn't being sincere and ready to move forward, then there's no reason to not consider him.
  6. He needs to be shaved an let it all regrow ? I like his ceiling, I wouldn't be upset with him.
  7. Wow. *Slowclap* That was a good one, I actually laughed hard. ??? (Not even being sarcastic, that was good!!) In regards to his altercation, he seems to show remorse and actually realize the mistake. I had a drunken run-in with the law in college myself (like 12-14 years ago) I was hammered on the front porch at a frat party, got into an altercation with another guy, cops showed up, him and I took off running. Got sacked by a cop. Arrested, ticket, court. Got community service and a no permanent mark on my record thanks to a lenient judge. I'm now a father, and a medical professional (physical therapist). I don't know everything about Baker, but he doesn't seem like a Johnny football, he seems more like a young adult who made a dumb@ss mistake, and wants to prove to everybody that's all it was, a mistake, not a pattern of behavior that won't change. Every single person on here has done something they most likely are not proud of. Mistakes happen. People need to stop throwing stones when they live in a glass house.
  8. He had one of the lowest "deemed catchable" percentages, right? What is "catchable" ? Honest question. Who decides that? If you have crap WRs who aren't getting to where the ball is being thrown, is that the QBs fault? I'd like to see some stats on the wr "catch zones" for his guys. Like obj and Larry Fitzgerald catch anything within 10 yards of them, but a subpar we won't even get near the ball. Stats don't mean everything. I think Allen is raw and needs work, but could be a beast QB. He also could be a pile of crap. He has a ridiculous ceiling, and a very low floor. He's a risk. I'm not advocating for or against him, I'm just saying stats can be cherry picked.
  9. I'm with you here. If they feel Mayfield isn't a good QB, on skill/talent/potential it's one thing. To dismiss him over some fire in his belly while playing? That's just absurd. Going NBA here, but Reggie Miller was a notorious trash talker, kobe Bryant too, so was Michael Jordan, and Larry Bird was one of the most disrespectful players EVER to opponents. NFL? Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders, TO, Randy moss, John handle, Shannon Sharpe, Chad Johnson, Warren Sapp, all were trash talkers, and I would take any of them in a heartbeat.
  10. Fair. I'll agree with you, I was misunderstanding even after a couple of reads. I'd buy you a beer and shake hands of we lived close.
  11. I read your point. I agree with the rest of the post. I was pointing out that very few are that explosive, and I don't think it's fair to knock him because he isn't.
  12. Miller was a generational edge rusher in terms of athleticism. That's like drafting a guy like tre white and saying "well he's no deion Sanders"
  13. Troll isn't an insult. It's what the post seemed like. Relax.
  14. Internet troll: "...is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting quarrels or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion,[3] often for the troll's amusement." The topic title was "I say we will not draft a QB in round 1" The first post gave zero insight, and zero reason why he felt this way. It seems like it was clearly designed to just incite people to start fighting. You seem pretty upset by the fact that more than one person thought it was a troll though. Nobody was harassing him, just pointing out the obvious. Relax.
  15. I heard that JP Losman is willing to come show him what not to do
  16. They absolutely could, should, and most likely will take Barkley at #1. Hyde has never hit 1k yards, but he's a solid back who can easily split carries with Barkley for a couple of years, so they don't burn out Barkley. Saints crushed it with two good RBS this past year, no reason the Browns won't try the same.
  17. It seemed pretty "trollish" to me as well. And your second scenario sounds like "the JP Losman maneuver" Pretty sure that never works out.
  18. Ending the drought finally broke his brain. That, or he is trying to troll.
  19. I think we continue to trade back until we have all 32 picks in both the 5th and 6th rounds only. A couple of them have to be "hidden gems", right?
  20. Learning about "being a pro" is about learning how to perform the job. Learning to "act professional" is more about the attitude/demeanor. Don't need to be a brain surgeon to know the difference.
  21. Then giving up a first and a third for Foles is a failure. Why would you screw yourself even more?
  22. LOL. Got my laughing there. Yes I read posts. Whatever you read that person is reaching too. Why don't you post links to "what you've read"? It sounds like you're talking out of your @$$ I can say that too "I've read that the bills worked out a deal to get Aaron Rodgers for a 5th round pick" See how easy that is to make up stuff? There are too many moving parts here for them to have worked out a deal like that ahead of time. That's all I'm saying.
  23. Look. If there are 4 QBs taken before #12, the bills will take Jackson/Allen/whatever of the top5 is left. I would still rather than than multiple picks for Foles.
