  1. This gem was buried in King's column: ... lists turnover of GMs, coaches, and players over the last 10 years. But, we're at it again.
  2. New culture at work? There are some bosses who like internal conflict and create it purposely to get the best performance.
  3. No it's all part of the grand plan. Best way to move up in draft without losing a pick? That's right. tank hard!
  4. I'm with you on this brother. And I feel your frustration and anger. There will be better days. If the tanking goes right, we could be looking at a new franchise QB in 12 months. It's always darkest before dawn.
  5. Nope. I am not. I don't give a bleep about your attention. This is my way of expressing displeasure at the trade. And a few others felt the same way. Read their reactions. Your viewpoint IS NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT'S LEGIT.
  6. Just saw this. Zeke could be facing more suspension for barfight in July: http://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2017/08/12/dallas-cowboysezekiel-elliott-bar-fight-investigation-suspension-domestic-violence/ Video of the guy after he took a punch from Elliott: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2722408-video-of-alleged-ezekiel-elliott-fight-aftermath-shows-beaten-man-unable-to-walk
  7. Nice move bills! Nice move PR department! You've definitely improved!
  8. Yup and he's under their control in a sense with franchise. They get the best shot of any team because 1) the carrot of being wanted by a team. 2) Rams are going to pay whatever to keep him. They brought in an offensive coach. They got a brand new self-financed stadium to fill. They gotta compete with Chargers for LA sports fans. They want bums in the seats. Woods and Austin aren't going to be exciting enough of an offense to sell the seats and boxes. Sammy completes that offense with ability to stretch the field, and make high-light catches. THAT will sell seats and boxes. So they will pay to keep him. Courtship just started. Look at them react to this trade.
  9. Bill, I'm with you. I can't do anything about it. Talent wise nobody who is a professional in the business is saying Bills improved as a team so that validates how we feel. I'm hoping rookies and 2nd year players get the reps to grow this season. I'm looking forward to watching college football in 2017, and the draft and the pre-season that follows in 2018.
  10. You got that right. I'm a winner. You loving a losing trade? makes you a happy person!!!
  11. From Wentz to Tyrod. From supermodel to girl next door. Give the man space. He needs to recover from this. I mean girl next door isn't bad. But she ain't no supermodel.
  12. 900 years since "the gift".
  13. Rex was a timing mistake. Wrong scheme for the defensive personnel. I think we still have the core D line from that D - Darius, Kyle, Hughes whom I think will look much much better this season along with Lawson. We still got decent LB core and DBs. Yes Kyle and Hughes are 2 years older now but we did add Washington and Shaq since. I think returning to 4-3 will make this D come closer to what we saw with Schwartz. I truly believe once the season is 4 weeks old all the questions will be on the offense, and Gaines. That's it. Mark my words.
  14. it's a team game. nobody wins this game alone. Megatron had a QB yes. didn't have much help elsewhere. Bills on the other hand have decent talent in every position. Prior to the trade, you look at DBs, LBs, D line, O line, RB, WRs and TEs, AND kickers, are all pretty solid. Big question mark was in QB. We aren't team perfect but this is the most talent across the board Bills team I have seen since Flutie days. And good teams need game breakers to help them get that edge in winning seasons and playoffs. For Pats it's Brady and Gronk. Sammy was one of our game breakers who makes others better when on the field. Now we're down to 1 - Shady. And he's in his last legs as an aging RB at 29. Who knows how many good seasons he got left - 1? 2? It's a risk, but they gave up only a 2nd rounder essentially for a potential pro-bowl calibre talent whom by every indication they intend to sign for longer term.
  15. Time to promote him to assistant QB coach me thinks!
  16. I hope they trade Shady first. He's the one with most trade value on this team. Without TT Shady's trade value will plummet. It's going to be 11 vs. shady.
  17. the thing that concerns you about Jauron days is the press conferences? wow
  18. Yeah I bet a few playoff-bound teams will be interested in him. Shady will get good value in return. It's clear we're going with a rookie QB next year. While Shady will help the kid in the short run, over the long run it's better if they can grow together. It's clear we're not going to make the playoffs this year nor anytime soon. Get picks instead.
  19. well I hope you got what you were looking from in the answers. His first game bore out the scouting reports on him: 1) quick release 2) decisiveness 3) excellent in short timing throws 4) accuracy and location an issue at times 5) throws well on the move 6) has a nice touch throw 7) can run 8) seemed comfortable reading NFL defenses which was impressive for a rookie. questions to be answered - arm strength and ability to throw 20 to 40 yards down field. Someone said he's like Kirk Cousins. I think he looked a bit less impressive than Kirk in his rookie year but are very similar. I'd wait to see how he grows in the next few weeks. He is potentially a good project to develop. From what I can see Kirk added arm strength over the last 3 years vs his rookie year. If Peterman can do the same he has a chance to steal starting job somewhere like Fitz did.
  20. Sammy not single? Oh LA will fix that LOL!!!
  21. lol lots of eyecandy. good for a rich single boy like sammy.
  22. I agree with you there bud. He did have some skill challenges - 1) managing expectations 2) communicating well with media and fans 3) lack of assertiveness. He didn't inject himself in the coaching hires enough. He paid for it. He might get another chance. He's still young enough. But yes. This is the most talented Bills roster has been since 1999. Some fools here don't realize it.
  23. I know he's been underwhelming so far. Let's see what McVay can do. I still think they got issues with their offensive line. It's not a complete roster by any means. If that O line struggles, Goff will struggle. He doesn't seem to have that command and confidence you need in a QB. Not that it's a necessity.
  24. I don't get why this is pinned. He's not going to compete for a starting job is he? I figured he's for special teams?
  25. lol I might pick up fantasy football. never played it. do you? Yea you got something there. Young and rising players in almost every roster spot. D held up better than I thought given little investment in it. That's a team that's getting things right finally.
