wow only 72 pages? That's all you got that we lost a generational talent like Watkins while you guys cried for 200 pages on a slow 30 catch a season Hogan? like WHAT'S WITH THAT?!!!

They got more than three boards. After three I stopped looking. Their reactions are all similar. there's a 5% of fans who are having their panties in a knot over the 2nd round pick. 95%+ are pretty much like the above. I am a fan and I can be critical of the players, coaches, team front office and general manager. WHO SAID YOU GOTTA LIKE EVERY CHOICE EVERY MOVE THEY MAKE. ITS MY CHOICE. DEAL WITH IT.

Their reaction and enthusiasm has made me feel better about the trade. Sammy is going where his talents are appreciated. He's gone to a bigger and better market. Rams now potentially have their big three in Gurley, Sammy, Goff. If McVay is half the genius many proclaim, they will be a fun team to watch.

LOL. Yeah I agree on the first one too. I'll be serious for a moment. McD is first time HC after waiting for how long? He's going to put the best product out there that he can. No question. This defensive personnel suits his schemes and it was NO BRAINER for him to grab this opportunity. As a defensive HC, a running game and ball-safe running QB like TT are what the doc orders to compliment his defense. Bills were essentially an 8-8 team last year. What we have is an improvement over on the defensive side so theoretically it's still enough for an 8-8 season if not slightly better. But what we don't have is a potential game breaker who can steal another game or two for us. So that leaves us just short of playoffs.

Ah that was worth it for the laughs. I'm sure the product on the field will be just as funny as the product on the sidelines!

Giants? Younger Manning's window is closing and they've made moves to help him out in his last few years. Philly? A good young QB, brought in a bunch of WRs and shipped out butterfingers to address drops while shoring up their backend in D. Steelers? I got a sense big ben will be hanging it up shortly. They got a dynamic O and stout D. Can they pull a good year together? Raiders with Marshawn? I got insomnia so I could stay up and watch them. Dallas has Dak and drama. I guess I'll be watching a lot of NFC East. How about you?

Even there - you can debate. Gaines wasn't going to be their starter this year. He's struggled often. We got a backup for a starter. Darby had an off year last year and everyone knows what his ceiling is. More than a few will say he's better than Gilmore. Nobody's going to say that about Gaines. I was expecting him to communicate well with the fans and media. Read what I wrote.

I whole heartedly agree with you Alphadog. The ones who are celebrating this trade, will pay for it with this season and next. Let me add a further point why this trade shouldn't have been made. All the signs point to this regime trading their picks for a #1 QB next season. Who is he going to throw to next year? Michael Irvin was there before Troy got there. Dez was there before Dak got drafted. Harrison was there before Peyton was drafted. All of those partnerships helped the young QBs to be successful early and often. Who's next year's rookie QB going to throw to? A butterfingers Matthews? To an aging Boldin in traffic so his passes will get picked off? That's a script for ruining a young QB.

Observations. 1) There was not a good story told by Beane. He said a lot of nice things, thanking departing players. 2) There is no PLAN. He said he was NOT planning to trade these guys, but that offers came. Which means there is NO VISION. Just taking opportunities as they come. 3) Did NOT explain why he valued Matthews as being = to Watkins. There was no intellectualization. Just says "a lot of things went into consideration" but did NOT elaborate them. It is as if "oh you won't understand, that's why I'm not giving you ALL the reasons". All of which leads me to 4) Communication problem with the media, and with the fans. This was the problem with the old GM. He wasn't a good communicator. This guy seems to have THE SAME PROBLEM. So much for culture change.

He's a possession slot receiver who drops a lot of passes. You all will be asking for his head by mid-season. Enjoy the groans! LOLOL

Sorry how is selling Watkins for a 6th round backup cornerback and a 2nd rounder for next year equal selling high? Sammy is a generational talent, not a backup WR. This was a poor trade. Gaines is also a free agent, of much lesser value than Sammy. Second way you know how this was a bad trade? Eagles also needed a corner. And Rams needed a starting WR. The two of them have been talking to each other about trading the two players we got for a long time, but just couldn't pull it. Because they knew they didn't want the returning player. Instead, we took both of them and gave them better pieces. This is a rookie GM who got fleeced. yeah honestly right? How do so many people watch football and not get that you still need talent to win. Enjoy the Matthews drops! I'm starting to think these guys deserve the 17 year playoff drought. They deserve a 100 year playoff drought.

It's a bunch of excuses and apologies. There was NO PLAN. THERE IS NO PLAN. Did he articulate a PLAN yesterday? NO! He said he wasn't planning to trade them! but people approached! He's an opportunist, without a plan.
