  1. Things that hurt to hear when watching playoff football: "How about that game plan put together by Nathaniel Hackett?!"
  2. Agreed, but also think it was more than TT who caused the loss. Not that I'm giving TT a pass.
  3. Jaguars' success: more because of Marrone or Coughlin? Also, wonder how much having Coughlin in-house helps them if they do end up playing the Patriots*...
  4. Does our loss hurt less if JAX wins this game?
  5. For sure. I wish we had their QB and skill players, too.
  6. Steelers are throwing screens to their TEs, like Jesse James and Vance McDonald. Not exactly explosive players. Get the right blocking and timing, and Zay, DT, and Matthew could run effective screens.
  7. Hope not. Maybe 3rd, but ideally 4th or later. Deep class.
  8. All the HBs, WRs, and TEs, except Tolbert.
  9. In addition to his success with the Panthers in Newton's rookie year, in 2007, Chudzinski also helped the Cleveland Browns rank eighth overall on offense, send 4 offensive players to the Pro Bowl (which I'll concede means next to nothing), and finish second in the AFC North with a record of 10–6, their most wins since 1994. (Chudzinski's Wiki). Dorsey was a QB on the roster, so they have long-standing and continued familiarity. Derek Anderson threw for over 3,000 yards, 29 TDs, and 19 INTs. Jamal Lewis rushed for a 4.4 avg and totaled over 1,300 yards with 9 TDs. Kellen Winslow, Jr. and Braylon Edwards (remember him?) each had over 1,100 yards receiving, with 5 and 16 TDs, respectively. Not bad.
  10. Not necessarily. We could hire an OC who is not being considered as a HC this offseason, comes in and has a phenomenal year, and is hired away regardless. Similarly, DeFilippo could come in, have a middling year, and then not be sought after as a HC. None of us have crystal balls.
  11. You think anyone who posts an article adopts its contents as his or her opinion? That's as ridiculous as the Marrone coaching tree theory.
  12. You could hire a different OC and have him succeed and get hired regardless.
  13. Yeah, I can't disagree. I guess I didn't say 3rd rounder because I have a hunch they will be trading up and would have less picks total.
  14. I do want OBD to consider taking a HB in rounds 4 and later. I think it is a deep HB class and someone to take pressure off Shady will be available. I'm biased as an Irish fan, but Josh Adam is a good example of a guy who should probably go higher than he will, and might be had in round 4.
  15. Yeah, I'm certainly not saying they should be taken as the end-all-be-all, but I do know a lot of people consider PFF to be at least somewhat credible/useful. I do not think Taylor is a better QB than Cousins, but I also do not think the gap is as wide as it is made out to be.
  16. No problem with having an OC who has enough success to be looked at as a HC for 1-2 years. Success is good.
  17. Not saying this reflects my opinion, but reading this thread made me think to go to PFF and see their 2017 rankings: 7. Smith: 85.9 12. Taylor: 84.1 20. Cousins: 78.9
  18. I would like this, but without trying to look like we're from the future/arena football.
  19. On boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I feel so good I could spit in Potter's eye! I think I will, I think I will!
