  1. lmao all forgiven and honored to be your 50k+1
  2. Now get that rep point ratio up
  3. On this we should all be able to agree.
  4. The difference being that the riots were in response to the murder. That’s an important distinction.
  5. I think separating the reactionaries from the people we should be focusing on would be a decent start. I like White as a person and a Bill but I don’t expect him to deliver a nuanced take on race relations. I would be interested in Kaepernick’s reaction tbh
  6. I mostly agree, the caveat being the expectation that various racial groups are as attuned to the issues pertaining to others as their own is frankly unrealistic.
  7. It's a Louis Farrakhan quote, and complete garbage.
  8. If all you have are bon mots there's no dialogue to be had.
  9. Probably because you didn't read the rest of my comment.
  10. I have no personal stake in whether they choose to comment or not. It's of little interest to me. I was interested in talking to the poster who mentioned the double standard because it touches on the idea that by failing to address or condoning by ignoring other similar instances of racial discrimination, the validity of our grievances are undone. I don't subscribe to that concept. There is an undeniable element of hypocrisy if they don't speak against what Jackson said, but it doesn't negate their original problem in my opinion.
  11. So you're hardly in a position to opine on the theoretical double standard I was asking the other poster about.
  12. Since this is your thread, I'll ask- did you 'attack' Fromm for his comments?
  13. What is the double standard being applied here?
  14. Yeh was gonna say Pulp Fiction
  15. Jackson may well be, but there's no need to insinuate anything about Brees.
  16. This is the larger point, and good on you for bringing it up. Situations regarding race and how different people view and experience society are inherently DIFFERENT. Being open to the idea that your frame of reference isn't shared by everyone is the best way forward imo. And not to get into the weeds, but the one of the reasons discussing race gets complicated is because the concept of diversity has been incorrectly set in opposition to the end goal of equality.
  17. Literally everyone outside KC knows he did it...imagine how hard it is to get thrown off a Mike Gundy team
