You realize a QB has more opportunities to put up stats (or showcase abilities) when they have a bad defense, not fewer, as offenses are statistically more likely to run the ball when the game is close or they're ahead.
It's almost as if it's unlikely Tyrod Taylor puts up 34 pts against one of the league's best defenses. Oh and us only scoring 6 against a defense missing its best player.
