  1. Yeah exactly We lost WRs 1&2 from an already pretty shabby unit and replaced them by trading back for one single second rounder Not going to pretend to be impressed by that
  2. Correct amount of effort for me would have been a first round wr They clearly didn't have a first round grade on Coleman
  3. I agree the draft wasn't going to solve everything but trading back twice to take the 8th wideout off the board has to be about as close to the bare minimum effort as possible
  4. ^^i think we'd all feel a lot better about the WRs if they were getting coached up by someone from the shanahan tree
  5. It's an easy comparison for people myself included who don't watch much college football Obviously open to discussing why that's not the case...but that was not in the cards for the guy I initially responded to😂😂
  6. My point was not to connect them so much as to say I don't necessarily blame the folks who are
  7. Agree that we play them about as well as anyone except Bengals...it's a fair point Unfortunately the margins are where we needed to improve and at this point in the offseason I think they have widened unfortunately
  8. I don't know what you mean I was saying he was involved in scouting Benjamin and drafting Coleman
  9. Of course But not having a plan in place to address an aging malcontent wr falls on management imo
  10. I agree w the overall point that the team could surprise (personally not seeing a deep postseason run but it could happen) but the whole 'took KC to the wire last season' narrative is a red herring imo...an objective watch of that game would see a Bills team dominated and fortunate to be within a score at the end
  11. Very well put imo But I think it can also be looked at as 'draft that your specific FO can afford knowing they have 100%job security'
  12. You can blame diggs for a lot of things but roster construction is not one of them
  13. Don't you dare talk about my guy sesese like that
  14. No it isn't, he literally told us what kind of offense he wants in 2021 verbatim: 'That has not been my message from Day 1, I can promise you that. If you were in the team meetings in training camp, you would know what style of offense I want. That identity needs to embody toughness.'
  15. It's just not a Super Bowl caliber roster imo. It's going to almost certainly be weaker than the last couple yrs which weren't good enough either We needed top talent to overcome the kind of middling offensive philosophy we've trotted out for the entirety of Allen's career here. Instead we punted on WR by trading back and getting the 8th best guy in a loaded class...tough for me to have legitimate SB aspirations for this squad rn and going by the draft Beane/McDermott feel the same way
  16. from GM of a team w a top QB and zero Super Bowl appearances to show for it...absolutely brutal to hear i mean i appreciate the honesty but fml have they absolutely wasted this window
  17. Legitimately one of the worst WR corps in the league
  18. After this most recent off-season I have to agree I think this is setting up for a very unfortunate 2-3yr attempt at a ball control grind it out type offense
  19. This is a fair take but moderate imo I think it would be fair to say this draft+offseason gets us further from a super bowl And for that imo it's a failure
  20. I would guess if you are a 4.6 guy it's rarely Likewise if you are a 4.2 guy it's more often
  21. You didn't need to Vast majority of football fans understand the difference between a guy who runs a 4.2 vs a 4.6
  22. If you need to be a 'scientist' to understand the difference between a 4.2 guy vs 4.6 you probably want to stick to doing simple math
  23. They're both big wideouts from the same school scouted/drafted early by Beane, relax
