  1. Mayfield isn't falling to 12. Barkley isn't falling to 6. Otherwise not bad.
  2. This is only true if the Bills are trying to move up to #1 overall. Otherwise how can you trade the farm without knowing if you can acquire your #1 rated QB?
  3. Only the Cleveland Browns could be stupid enough to draft a 4th round calibre prospect 1st overall. If they have any clue, I have to believe that this is all smoke and they're hoping that if someone else really likes Allen that they'll trade up to get him because I don't see anyways a QB with decision making and accuracy problems who was a mediocre college QB can be the #1 pick in the draft.
  4. Mayock is a really bad QB scout. Year after year he falls in love with the guys with the crazy athleticism and size, and completely ignores the game tape. Mayock seems to know offensive linemen, and he knows DBs, but I've learned over the years that he has positions that he knows nothing about as well, and QB is one of them. Can you post the Chris Brown link for me to read. I watched most of the Senior Bowl, and Allen was routinely missing easy throws, but once every set he'd uncork a pass with crazy zip on it, and Mayock would go nuts over how much potential he has and completely ignore the previous 5 throws that weren't catchable at all.
  5. Every year Mayock and Kiper fall for the big, strong, athletic guy who can throw the ball 80 yards, and every time one of those guys goes in the first round they wind up as a colossal bust. At this point, given that I assume there are professional scouts working in draft war rooms across the league, I have to think the Josh Allen stuff is just smoke. I think teams are pumping out fake intel about how certain teams love him and he's going to go in the top 5, with the hope that some team drafts him so that a different player falls. Reading the scouting reports, without knowing he's 6'5, 235 pounds, you would assume you're reading about a guy who will struggle to get drafted at all, let alone get picked in the first round. He is the definition of a boom or bust prospect who has maybe a 1 in 20 chance of being successful because so many things need to go right for him to be able to play QB at the NFL level.
  6. Real scouts don't seem to like Allen. Everything with detail that I've ready about him says he should be a mid round pick who has little chance of being successful. Those same opinions love Mayfield, Rosen and Jackson. If Allen goes #1 I think it'll go down as one of the worst picks in the NFL over the past 20 years.
  7. Lauletta doesn't surprise me. Everything I read says he's got the accuracy and intanigbles to eventually be a starter in the NFL in the right system. I think Lauletta goes in the late 2nd, early 3rd round. I see a lot of Andy Dalton in Lauletta.
  8. Josh Allen at #125. The 7th ranked QB in the draft.
  9. Just read the whole thing. The talk of Allen going in the top 5 is pure lunacy. He's the most inaccurate QB in the draft.
  10. Like I said, I'm cool with a 6'5 QB with a huge arm in round 3. Not a chance I'm picking a guy with major accuracy issues and questionable decision making in round 1.
  11. I'd be cool with Allen in the 3rd round.
  12. This is outstanding information. I just read through the top guys, but this more or less summarizes what I've thought, which is that Rosen and Mayfield are going to be really good, and Darnold and Allen are overrated due to the fact that they "look" like franchise QBs. Jackson's evaluation is particularly interesting. If we walk away with one of Rosen, Mayfield or Jackson I'll be pretty happy. Hopefully one of them is available with the 12th pick so we don't have to trade away the rest of our picks.
  13. I agree with everything Chris Brown says. Josh Allen is a terrible prospect with critical flaws.
  14. The Bills could have a really good roster if they keep all their picks, but without a QB I'm not sure it matters. The Bills need to figure out how to get one of the top 4 QBs. That's the goal this year.
  15. If they draft Allen they're screwed for the next 4-5 years. Otherwise their roster could be really good. They should have made a huge run at Cousins and kept all their picks.
  16. Six QBs aren't getting picked in round 1. The talk of Rudolph going 12th overall is insane.
  17. Agreed. I think Rosen, Jackson and Rudolph are all going later than expected. There are too many other elite players who can help teams win now.
  18. They're not taking a QB. They'll worry about replacing Ben when he actually retires. For now they're trying to win a Super Bowl and they need their 1st round pick contributing this year to increase their chances of doing that.
  19. I hear this every year and it never happens.
  20. I fully agree. Put Mayfield's skill set in Allen's body and he's the consensus #1 pick. Put Allen's skill set in Mayfield's body and I'm not sure he gets drafted...
  21. It's never happened before. QBs typically get picked later than the media predicts. I think that's going to be the case this year and the talk of Rudolph as a 1st round pick seems crazy right now.
  22. I don't know if he's by far the best, but I think he's the best. I think he's easily the safest option with the highest probability of becoming a top 10 QB.
  23. Steelers are in win now mode trying to win a Super Bowl. They're not picking a first round pick to sit on the bench. Patriots value QBs with elite short accuracy (Rudolph throws the ball down the field). Neither is a real fit.
  24. Mason Rudolph is going to get drafted way later than some people expect. 6 QBs are not going in the first round.
  25. Every Oklahoma St QB from the past 10 years has been able to find the open receiver in college. Success for those players hasn't been very good in the NFL.
