If they replace Dennison after one year with Taylor then he was never a permanent fixture with this coaching staff. I don't think that's the case, I expect him to stay.

I went through this with another poster last night who was saying he thought Romo was being honest! Romo fluffs up the QB's all while painting an accurate picture with his reactions and mannerisms in the booth. I like his style. I could appreciate it if he was brutal but his subtle jabs and sighs of displeasure and frustration tell the story for anyone that is listening.

The mistakes a rookie will make could easily cost the team games early on in the season. Thats the whole offseason. How will McBeane approach the QB position and did this past season sway that thinking. Starting a rookie and taking a big step back will cost them some goodwill with the fanbase. The safer bet is to get a guy like Smith who is an upgrade and allows you to play similarly to 2017 which worked. If they do that and balk at using the pile of picks to get a top end QB then when will they go for it? It's going to be fun to watch. I'm fine with them trading away the draft pile for a QB, find your guy and go get him. If your top quarterback isn't Darnold or Rosen that's even better. Go full Danny Ainge on the rest of the league.

How about the Cover 4 when he broke down the play and you could tell he was frustrated watching it in the booth? Or after the Charles Clay replay when Romo/Nance realized the it took Taylor over 30 seconds to get the play off. Like they said...they don't have much time here...and should have quick snapped anyways because of the previous play. If you rewatch it or listen the broadcast you can hear visible groans of frustration just from him watching it.

Romo is very kind to all the members of the QB club, the difference between what he says and how he reacts to plays tells the story.

This season is evidence that each year changes so much that the schedule is impossible to rank. From a distance it looks like it could be tough sledding. Baltimore and Detroit are the only two teams on that list that I expect to play worse next season.
