Mayfield’s is set at 4.5 IIRC The over for Allen is -115 so it’s getting more action than the under. The big money would have hammered the under by now, I don’t see the betting public keeping up with them on something that looks so obvious.

That number is a strong indication that the betting public thinks he starts the season. As a Bills fan that bet almost looks too easy. When it looks that easy I try and stay away, the clincher for me is I’m not ok with hoping Allen fails or gets hurt so I can get paid. I will hammer the Ravens and Broncos win totals and behave myself.

Unreal. I thought it would be -300 or something for the under. It’s -105, -115 for the over. Wow. I wonder if the bet is somehow protected against injury. I didn’t have time to look at it.

Crazy thread. The Bills probably upped their security after getting rid of him and seeing the way he was acting.

RB- 4 YPC last year, another year older, I don’t expect a big uptick. The position is average at best. Shady will provide a few wow moments and a few I’m glad this is his last year here.

The rules committee should let him throw off of a pitching mound. If they won’t, start Allen.

I’m still surprised that they couldn’t get out of the way of that train named Star. Everyone saw that coming a year in advance, some liked it (probably because the name recognition) others kept talking about how bad he was. Hopefully he can turn it around once the season starts. None of the other contracts mentioned have much impact past this season.

It’s simple, if they are comfortable starting Allen then create a game plan with a heavy running game, some short stuff and the occasional play action bomb. That’s all they have to do if they want him under center. I’d have a hard time believing that scenario would give the Bills any less of a chance than it would with one of the other bozos out there. Executing a limited game plan would be better experience than sitting on the bench behind two guys that don’t know what the hell they are doing.

Am I getting trolled? Clay is the best and from what I saw in the preseason he looks like the Tin Man out there.

Frazier can’t teach Shaq instinctual behaviors. His will be able to dial up some blitzes as anyone would but he needs some kind of threat opposite Hughes. Murphy does need to prove himself again even if healthy, I with that. I’m not holding out hope that anyone on this roster can’t get the job done regularly. Tremaine/Lorax are pretty good on the blitz but they still need a capable edge guy.

A broken nose!? That about sums up yesterday. They got their butts kicked. That has to serve as a wake up call. Murphy needs to get healthy asap or the pass rush will be a joke again.

I’m glad he got a huge deal, maybe Shep will end up hitting FA. He would look great in Buffalo.

Can’t start Josh after yesterday. The game looked to fast for him. The offensive line never game him a chance and things continued south from there. Those guys should all be embarrassed. They didn’t come to play yesterday and forced a decision on the coach. If they had played better Allen would have had a chance to adjust, he didn’t get that and it’s a shame.

Many people said this was a bad move even before it happened. Still say this is going to be their mistake at this point.

I said Bodine sucked as soon as the Bills signed him. Bengals fans were so glad when he left. I thought Groy would be serviceable, if that was his max effort he is in deep dodo. He looked like a rag doll all day. I thought the line would be excited for the rookies first start. They went out there and got manhandled.

Teams value the affordability of the rookie wage scale and 5th year option. An argument could be made that they overvalue it. I think that’s why the Bennett example is a bit misleading. If they do trade him it will be interesting to see what price was paid.

Was he good again last night? That’s one thing the Browns have done right, accumulating pass rushers.

Maybe the Browns will part with another mid round pick for Peterman. Taylor is done. Put Petey on the block.
