Is Josh Allen just a taller Tyrod Taylor
longtimebillsfan replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wins are not graded by the quality. This is where quantity matters. We are in a full rebuilding year. We are developing a very raw talent at qb, and we are 1 game under 500 after week 5. What is there to complain about? Did anyone se two wins in the first five games on our schedule when the season began? Let's get real. The defense has performed much better in the two wins we have plus the 2nd half in San Diego than anyone thought possible. Looking at our remaining schedule, we have very winnable games against the Texans, Colts, Jets (2), Lions, and maybe even steal on from the Dolphins. That is a potential of 8 wins! Yes, we will lose a game we should win and maybe win another game we should loose, but 6 - 8 wins are a very real possibility. I for one will sit back and enjoy watching Allen progress. The offense may improve, the O line has already shown signs of improvement. We should not be judging Allen against the veteran qb's in the league or even against the more developed rookie qb's. We all knew Allen was a development draft pick. Let's just chill and see what happens. -
I agree 100%. The defense has a great deal of talent, the offense, not so much. Sean has done more with less than any coach we have had since the millennium. Why is the fact that so many on this site discount that we are a playoff teams from last year. Sean is a solid coach and will only get better.

Derek Anderson to sign with Bills per Mort

Exactly what we need!!! Great signing. Anderson should be up to speed quickly. -
Peterman vs Tuel
longtimebillsfan replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would take virtually any qb that has a year of nfl experience over Peterman. -
The Bills are doing better than I imagined. I figured they would be 0 - 4 at this point in the season. I was not expecting a win before mid-season. Allen is a work in progress. He will have his good days and bad. Fans needs to cut him some slack. The hand wringing and panic are laughable. Give the poor kid a season to learn the game. He is showing maturity and poise. He will make a lot of mistakes. But he is our future. Don't give up on him so soon.

KB has a big day this Sunday
longtimebillsfan replied to Bronxbomber21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
YES! Just cut him and bring in a receiver that can play and one that is not a cry baby. -
Seriously you just have to sign a WR this week
longtimebillsfan replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you 100%. We also need to bring in a true backup qb. I would be ok with Bradford. I would also be okay with cutting KB. He is complaining about our passing attack. He is a big part of the problem. He drops too many passes and he can't get separation. -
So what is the bigger need O-line or WR
longtimebillsfan replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It starts with the line. With a superior line average receivers can be productive. -
Call it homerism...but we WILL beat the Packers
longtimebillsfan replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like your optimism. It is going to be interesting if the team can sustain the effort they put forth yesterday. I hope you are right. -
Wow. Great analysis. Thank you for those thoughts. I was in awe of the way the bills played today. It is going to be interesting to see if this level of intensity can be sustained going forward. I am also looking forward to see if Dabol can continue to mix up game plans for Allen to keep the league guessing. Go Bills!

I did the same thing today. It must be the reason.

Matt Moore would be my choice. He is not the long term solution, but he would give us an experienced back up. He would be able to help Josh develop, and would be an upgrade to Peterman. I hope you are right. I believe he needs additional time to develop. A veteran like Moore would help him as well. I am not sure if the Bills would keep 3 qbs on the active roster though.

WR Suggestion - Bills should sign ASAP
longtimebillsfan replied to OrediggerPoke's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really appreciate your insight and you sharing your experiences with watching Josh in college. I live in Las Vegas, and I questioned the wisdom of drafting a quarterback from the Mountain West conference. But I was so wrong. He is an amazing athlete. We come to two Bills Drive. Glad to have you on our bandwagon. -
The Vikings game has gotten the Bill's fan base totally pumped. What a complete team performance! With the reckless abandoned style being played by the wonder kid, Josh Allen, "I keep thinking can he stay healthy"? I am a true be over in what Beane has done to re-mold this team. I thought he was crazy picking up and starting an unproven punter. I was completely wrong. I do still question why we have not pi ked up a veteran free agent quarterback to start to learn out offense so he can eventually replace letterman as the #2 qb. If Josh goes down, the last person I want to see behind center for the Bills is Peterman. What are we waiting for? Thoughts?

We have been guilty of second guessing many of Beane's moves that seem strange. But he seems to know what he is doing. We must trust the process. But why haven't we signed a veteran quarterback??? Just saying.
